Love the Lafayette, very nice running boat. Every time you mention Virginia the song from the 90's by train pops into my head "Meet Virginia". I lost a propeller blade (just one blade) while testing my Typhoon in the pool. I didn't notice it was gone for nearly two weeks. It was hard to spot in the pool but I did find it. It turned a bit of a pinkish colour from the chlorine.
Bob, just to catch you up. The 8 penentratens, 4 on starboard and 4 port were installed on the FBM's in the 80's. They contain noise makers that can be released for evasive maneuvers. We called them Buicks.
With the last sub, i think the "secret testing facility" needs a bigger pool! i love this site, you are good fun, but show in a good way how it should be done, I am still in the "dynamic sub" game, but i do need to progress to a better system
@@RCSubGuy your not doing anything wrong !! i love your approach, your humour, and you make the vids a bit of fun, and you show us, how things should be done to get a decent result
You are the Bob Ross of submarine painting... no mistakes just happy little accidents!

Glad Logan is back on the dock
You’re a bad ass, Bob! Thank you. It would have continued to be a (very expensive) Static model on my shelf if it weren’t for you! 🤙🏼

The timing of this video is perfect as I am painting a sub right now and was just starting to think about weathering, thank you!
Nice! Good looking boat!
My Father David D. Merriman is the #1RCSubGuy in the whole wide Sea Wolf submarine world, Amen.

Not sure I understand what you mean by, "show in a good way how it should be done." What am I doing wrong, in your mind?
