      Do you guys have ADD or ADHD and often have trouble focusing on videos? Maybe find yourself in the comments and not watching the videos you’re “watching”?
      I definitely do and it’s hard to miss the facts in this, super slow and deliberate with audio and good visual demonstrations of it all.
      And there is definitely a mr. Rogers vibe, and he’s basically a hero.

    • @fluffsquirrel
      @fluffsquirrel Рік тому +1

      I love the facts but the odd little piano bits remind me too much of the information videos I would watch when I was a child. Even when I was little, those sounds mostly distracted and sort of made the video long and boring, and it was much harder to get the content that I was actually interested in. While I do find the information he presented interesting, this way does sound a lot like those educational kids shows I would get really disinterested in, and I do wish there was a way to make it sound less preschool and pre-filtered. I am very sure that I would be far more receptive to videos that had a lot more real-life physical interaction like Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller, which was the only education show I fondly remember from my childhood.

    The piano sounds are really helpful and nostalgic at the same time. For me it's nostalgic since it feels like one of my childhood learning shows. Helpful for my toddler that I watch this with, cause it keeps her attention

    • @fluffsquirrel
      @fluffsquirrel Рік тому +9

      I guess everyone is different. Those piano sounds have always bothered me and distracted me from the facts when I was little. I would remember shows like Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller, but most of the other ones just got lost because of the way it sorta down-taught me rather than present captivating and highly illustrated material.
      Then again, perhaps different personalities are receptive to different styles. I am amazed at the fact that it is capable of keeping the attention of your toddler, and in that case I'm glad to hear it! I just wonder if it's possible to diversify a channel into different styles for each kind of toddler, parent, or even an adult without children to learn about the intriguing information that makes up the universe we live in.

      Maybe I'm just different, but those always bored me a ton. I loved the shows like Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller, as the way he presented it felt real and experiential. I got to see an unfiltered and distraction-free view of real creatures and lots of interesting information as he interacted with them. The piano sounds and constant breaks completely lost me, whether as a child or as an adult. Is that just me?

    The music realy brings me back to my childhood. Funny enough im not a true Mr. Rodgers fan as the only parts i enjoy watching are the how its made video tapes shown in the picture frame. Something about the piano isnt just nostalgic, its simulating. Has that sweet delicate sound of curiosity and interest in those little tunes. Visually, i imagine a puppy tilting its head when they find something new and interesting and gets them curious. Thats what i love about the piano tunes. So the visual learning, curious speaking tone, and curiosity in the piano is what makes children and us adults pay attention. Its just happily stumulating for us. Wish we will get tv shows for kids similar to this whith the exact tone of curiosity and authority stimuli

    Growing up, I have entomophobia, meaning I have a fear of insects (mostly from grasshoppers, crickets and Katydids) because I always think of them as extraterrestrial species that doesn't belong in this planet. After watching this video, I started to respect them abit because of how soft and kind this person speaks. It reminds me of one of those shows from BabyTV. The piano sounds and how it almost sound like an educational kids show but for all ages. This video reliefs me that the narrator is making them friendly than a threat like those animal fight club. I may not get rid of my fear of insects completely, but I am trying to get my fears away so I can be brave to encouter or even touch them.

I always thought grasshoppers made different sounds with different methods. I don't know what kind of grasshopper it was and there seemed to be multiple species in my yard. Most of the ones I seen had brownish or grayish bodies, but some were green. The wings were mostly black and yellow, or black and orange.
