This video feels like a 90s kids show, from the narration right down to the musical effects, amazing!
No. Its the 90s idea but well made . Its refined.
After rewatching , not at al 90s. 90s is a just random. Ims a 90s kid
Yeah is has a really old school vibe
The only thing that’s missing is a crayon animation background
it's interesting, but all of the pauses are annoying. I feel like I'm being talked to like I'm five while I'm also being advertised to by squarespace.
I'm 21 years old, but this video got me feeling like i'm 9 watching PBS kids all over again, responding to the little questions that I'm not even being personally asked. What a happy little corner of my own brain I didn't know I still had!! 💖💖💖
Ikr? God, I feel like I'm 10 again, doing all I can to stay awake while being lulled to sleep by shows with this energy.
😊😊
😊
sounds like mister rogers explaining things to me
Don't say ur age it's online safty
to all parents: ban cocomelon and show this to your kids instead. PLEASE.
Ye
He takes “explain it like I’m 3” to a whole new level:D
I don't like frogs I'm scared of frog if the frog is cute I'm not even scared I just love you know I'm from 🇹🇲 but I only say English because I don't know how done just say this word 🇹🇲
Yeah we know that but I like frogs never mind I don’t like them I love them
He sounds like calm and emotional indie game's narrator. And I love it.
RIGHT??? and the formatting n sound design too. this dude needs to voice act in rain world or smth
Rain world is literally was I was just thinking xD
@@JossOwXUnironically would love to hear him do Rainworld documentaries
PLEASE MAKE MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS!! This is gold

@@poopyjeff686 bruh
How y'all early
i agree
the simple, accessible script, the slow and soothing candor, the piano interspersed between phrases... this feels like something out of Sesame Street or Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and i absolutely love it
My 6-year-old was mesmerized by this video! Would love if you made more like it :)
i ADOREEE the piano backing track. it takes me back to my childhood with those kids shows - very blues clues esque
Not all crustaceans have 10 legs, only members of the order Decapoda have 10 legs. Pill pugs belong instead to the order Isopoda, which is in the same class as Decapoda, called Malacostraca.
i always wondered which class do centipedes and milipedes belong in
@@alamrasyidi4097 well, you just said it, millipedes belong to the millipede class, while centipedes belong to the centipede class.
@@billyr2904 so theyre just in their on class altogether...? huh, the more you know...
@@alamrasyidi4097 you mean on there own, not altogether.
@@alamrasyidi4097 They're Myriapods, which are a distinctly separate from other arthropods, like insects, arachnids, and crustaceans. I believe they are more closer to crustaceans and insects than arachnids tho.
I knew that dragonflies and damselflies aren't the same... But what's the case with the extinct griffinflies? As far as I know, they're closely related to dragonflies, but what are the key differences in their groups?
big
what are the thing that flies but look like dragonfly larvae
Well, dragonflies have pterostigma but griffinflies don't
I love how calm your videos are man.
untitled goose game vibes. i called the damselfly and then was like screaming at the screen for you to say it already lol
this was a wonderful video before bed, the music, enunciation, and delivery took me back to those cherished days of watching my hero, Mr. Rodgers. I sincerely hope you'll make more videos like this, as I know when my nephew gets a little older, he will love this.
This is so bizarre and interesting.. it reminds me of Mr Rogers or something with the musical cues lol
Great job!
I love pill bugs, isopods!
Did you know that pill bugs are actually crustacean's?
Please make more of these types of videos! Loved learning these new facts
Hm. Watching this before bed. Lovely! I'm very sleepy now. But also happy. I feel restored in my soul.
Very Mr Roger’s neighborhood. I love the piano mixed with calm but interesting facts. Nailed it😊
4:57 NE Ohio calls it
"Potato bugs"
I hope this isn’t another stupid “ONLY IN OHIO” joke
This video gave me some really nostalgic vibes. I love it!
I love this kind of video 💕
Everyone I knew growing up called them potato bugs. I thought it was totally normal until recently.
I've lived in a lot of different areas around the PNW too.
Same, also in PNW
I Chicago we used to call them "Rolly Polly Ollies" (I may be misspelling it but that's what we called them lol
I love your videos, keep it up man
2 mins? Fast.
If I had kids, they’d be watching your videos. Keep up the great work.
I like the format and great quality of this channel. I'd be happy for my kids to watch this if I had any. Otherwise, I watched for the Pill bug. And was very interested to learn they are actually land crustaceans! And that there are land crustaceans! I've always been struck by how similar sea crustaceans are to many bugs (vice versa). And including arachnids. I've always thought crabs and spiders are fairly similar, mostly in their form and scuttling manner. I was surprised though to also learn that spiders have "book lungs", which as far as I understand are a lot like the "book gills" of crabs.
02:51 they flop it, out ofmtheir mouth *intense piano scale*. To catch a meal.
Mr. Roger’s vibe. Love it. Thank you
This is very interesting
I used to make cities for some of these creatures
What do you men by that?
I make bug cities when I was a kid using sticks
This is so peaceful. I love it!

your videos are one of the only things getting me through grief, thank you for doing what you do
Fantastic video. This works as education for all ages! Well done!

Giant isopods or just isopods in general would be a better option for comparison
Fun fact (I guess) - The reason why pill bugs look like hyper mini versions of giant isopods is because they're actually closely related. They also breathe through the exact same way as a giant isopod - through gills
love the voice and the story telling theme..and its very rare to see someone using books to search for information.❤❤❤
I already knew the stuff about the damsel flies and pill bugs but not everything else lol, great video.
I feel like a kid when I’m watching your videos in the best way possible lol
THIS REMINDS ME OF BEING A KID I LOVEE IT
Putting this here in the hope you may see this OAS. I would LOVE to see a video about the specimen dye process. I was watching a video you posted a while ago about things like seahorses and lizards and turtles and I understand the basic dye process the single color like with the seahorse. But I am absolutely confounded on how they get the intricate multi color dyes in specimens in very delicate exacting areas. Especially because the way you summarized it made me think they are just dipping the specimens completely in various solutions to get the desired effects. This can't be completely true with those multi dyed specimens. I would love to learn more if you are so inclined at any point!
Thank you for reading/considering! It seems like an interesting subject of focus!
The idea there are piano noises accompanying the explaination reminds me of Untitled Goose Games except more relaxing
this has such “explain like I’m 5” tone and energy!

Thank you for teaching me animals more then school 🙏🏻
Absolutely enthralling!
The intensive piano use really does amplify that "really soothing and comforting kids show you'd watch on [insert whichever preschool tv channel name here]" feeling. I'd say late 90s, early 2000s.
Man I love your videos like EVERY NIGHT with my mom when the moment I saw your video I said:man this is gonna be fun and then I watch your great videos so I can have a great day

I’m only a kid and I like this channel because it’s really cool and it teaches you about bugs like in the 90s
Yes👧
One day when I was in elementary school I was out at recess when I found a roly-poly. Some of my friends came over and we played with the roly poly. We let it crawl on our hands and we identified it as a female. we even gave the roly-poly a name which I forget, but after a while one of us dropped it into the grass and we were sad. We looked for more roly-poly‘s, but we couldn’t find any before it was time to go inside. I found it very interesting and I was glad I got to see its gills. I knew that roly-poly‘s were crustaceans before I watched this video.
I love this channel so much 😻
I love the music it's so peaceful
Props to this dude for having an actual specimen of a roly-poly
