This is a great review! You covered everything I was curious about. What surprises me the most is that you would pick the PDK over the manual. That isn't the first time I've heard that but I just goes to show just how good it really is! Thank You for the review!
I really appreciate that and am glad it answered some questions you may have had. To add on, I’m a complete manual purists, and have always owned one. It took a lot for me to say that, but it’s amazing especially if it ever sees track use.
Nice review. My 2017 991.2 Carrera has been a great driving car with only faulty cooling system valves which were replaced under warranty. Put a Cobb tune on it to up the HP and turbo boost. Interesting fact is that the base Carrera and the S have the same width rear end, unlike the 991.1. P
Thank you, interesting that Cobb does Porsche tuning, I’m mainly familiar with them from owning Subarus and they do great work. Didn’t know about that rear body either, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the input. I’ve been looking into an actual mic. Just didn’t want to start spending a ton of money before the channel goes anywhere. I do think it’s due though. Thanks for watching!
I usually agree and have always and still do own a manual car, this was a rare scenario where I thought the PDK was hard to turn down. Although I haven’t tried this particular car in a manual. Thanks for watching and save the manuals!
I might be biased as a 991.2 owner, but I don’t even see a C8 in remotely the same class as these cars. Possibly straight line speed would be the only thing, but, for me that is irrelevant. But in real life, the handling of a 911 will leave almost anything else for dead. The build quality is extraordinary. As a long distance tourer, I have done regular 1000mile plus days, with no issues at all. But it’s Jekyll and Hyde quality of being able to switch from a long legged cruiser, into a snarling sports car for tracks and mountain passes is unmatched, by any other brand, certainly anything American.
@@guydavies3035 , totally agree. 991.2 Carrera S on the track and even backroads destroys the C8. C8 is a great car, but 991.2 Carrera S/4S is a league above. I added a kw, gt3 control arms, brakes, and apr tune. Basically the same performance level as a 991.2 GT3, however still need better downforce
The Carrara Si truck is all the 911 anyone actually needs to get"the Porsche Experience"... in referral world driving on the street. Dudes everything"the best sportscar" should. The GT3.... Is just hyped.... Porsche making you jump through to 6 many hours to be able to order a new current year model.. Old the premium they track on.. . Just rg get the"naturally aspirated sounds"??? So you can feel like a wannabe race car driver?? It's THE 911 to own IMHO... "Best value".... With the 2025 GTS maybe bring as far as anyone should go.. Wanting more thrills AG's options thrown in...
Beautiful car, really detailed review too, nice work

Much appreciated!
Very nice and detailed review, ty
Much appreciated
Bolt ons + Upgraded turbos these things are insane
I can only imagine, that would be nuts. Thanks for watching.
I was watching for a comparison to the GT4 but never heard it mentioned. Please change your title.
Fair enough, for what it’s worth, the GT4 is more exciting and playful while the 911 is pure speed. Faster but more subdued, thanks for watching
@@running2redline Thanks much for the response and comparison.
For around $100k and same size as a Cayman, check out the 997.2 Turbo S….sooo good.
Turbo S is a monster for sure. Thanks for watching
Nice video but the audio is turn off at 9:25

Wrong… the manual transmission is muuuch better pdk totally decreases the thrill of this car. I am so happy mine is manual
Automatic is booooring

Turbo burn up. C8 for my $ but I wish the C8 had 911 superior visibility negating need for a rear view camera and C7 body.
C8 did barely beat this on my list of cars under 100. The value is just insane. Thanks for watching!

Can’t go wrong with any of them, it is amazing the price disparity between trims though.
