While I definitely agree on the monetization part, I honestly think the gameplay is better than ever. One tank and removal of most CC has made this game so much more fun. If the battle pass shit was changed the game would be fantastic, and this is coming from somebody who prefers tf2
I dont like overwatch anymore, tbh I hate it. they had such a great beginning. then the community got all high n mighty that "OW better than TF2". then blizzard pulls shit like this. and where it's been going before they even announcing OW2 and how blizzard treats its employees and IPs sucks ass. now they pull this shit, and it makes me hate the dev and the game even more. this is a major reason why I dont switch to OW and I stick to my guns about playing TF2.

They removed the level up system in favor of a battle pass system Ranked is broken as the requirements for ranked are completely different They added a battle pass They added an in game shop with no reliably way for FTP players to obtain currency to buy skins Almost every "Legendary" cosmetic is 20$ now The new heros are completely busted or completely lask luster Sombras hack is now pointless Sleep no longer shuts down ultimates after just getting the ability to a year ago I could keep going but I'll say a good thing instead One less tank was a good idea as it once again makes every character playable
@@mr.mystery8554 I’m willing to give them time to iron out the bugs and balance. Battle passes are par for the course, I don’t even really give a shit about skins because I won’t buy them. Cosmetics mean nothing to gameplay. I don’t like how new players have to unlock heroes but most of your issues don’t affect gameplay at all. The core game is still good, and dropping 1 tank I think was a good choice

On top of that failed to keep almost ant of their promises bar thr 5v5 change and decided to rush out a buggy incomplete patch.
I mean it's not like TF2 doesn't have those issues too, game servers used to crash, UI is absolutely horrible, you literally have to pay with *real* money to be able to talk, bots are everywhere and for the last 5 years nothing truly significant was added to TF2. I wouldn't call OW2 bland and underwhelming, I have 2243 hours of playtime on TF2 and I clearly had more fun playing OW2 than I did on TF2 in the last two years. I'm not saying OW2 is better than TF2, both games even though similar are not exact copies of each other and they have their strengths and weaknesses, i'm just saying OW2 is not as bad as people (and especially TF2 players) might think it is, it's a nice free game to play with friends, in the same way you might like TF2 despite all its issues, people might like OW2, and many people do, it wouldn't have sparkled such a big community if it was as bad as you say it is. Tbf I heard more people actually played the game say it's much better than OV1, even if it could be done in a single patch, including MoistCritikal who absolutely hated the game. Anyway besides that, I'm still waiting for Blizzard to be sued by taking a paid game away from people, turning it free, giving barely anything in return, and blocking it behind a phone number requirement

The 3 years is due to Covid, that whole scandal and the fact they haven't actually released what they spent the vast majority of their time on yet (PvE). I've noticed literally no bugs what so ever (not counting hero glitches like bastion). Gameplay is better than ever, the removal of a tank was genius. Allowing for less barrier spam and more actual interactive gameplay. Each role is just more active, impactful and fun to play. Direct upgrade to OW1. Server and log-in issues were mostly DDOS and resolved on day 2-3 at max (only talking about the PC experience). Minimal content is explain above. But tbf i can't forgive the parrot. L game, dogshit, waiting all this time for my parrot to be removed cant believe crap game game sucks
