    Thanks for the steps on removing the seat cover. I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe Limited. With 2-tone leather seats. I didn't want to spend $200-$250 for just the driver seat, I went to the junk yard and found the same cover. Thank you so much. Spent $17

    Don't take the power mechanism out. Just unbolt the seat from the power base and unplug the connectors. Saves you undoing those extra bolts.

    Great video, why waste time transferring heater when they burn out way before the cover wears out

    • @TheSeatShop
      @TheSeatShop  4 роки тому

      They do not manufacture that heater anymore so if they still work we showed how to transfer them over.

    I don't need to replace the seat cover but need to replace the heating element. (99 Tahoe) From your video it looks impossible without tearing it out. Do you have another video where you are just replacing the heating element?

    1999 Silverado the seat belts run through the seat. Therefore you have to remove the seatbelts before even thinking about replacing the seat cover.

    I have a cloth 1995 Chevrolet Z-71 Extended Cab with a worn drivers seat that is a 60/40 not bucket. I would like to replace the full front and rear with leather but I don’t think it works over my foam. Alternately I would like to replace the drivers side lower with cloth. I’ve read that the cloth is made to the foam and can’t be replaced. What are my options? Do I have any. I couldn’t see a solution on your website.

    • @TheSeatShop
      @TheSeatShop  5 років тому

      Hi Ricky and thanks for reaching out, unfortunately, at this time we will not be your solution. There are three reasons why going back that far with cloth is very difficult; 1. The cloth has been discontinued and without that material, we cannot manufacture a single piece to match the rest of your interior. 2. The cloth that was used for your seats was glued onto your foam cushion which makes both the cover and foam one piece and to remove the cover (without experience) will destroy your foam. 3. The process to attach your covers to your foam and then to your seat frame is not an option since neither the foam or the seat frame is set up for this (since gluing the cover was an easier solution). Your solution is going to be a local upholstery shop since they have experience in removing covers and replacing them with a different material. Here is a link to our Nationwide upholstery shop network to see if the nearest shops to you can try and help you out this time around. - www.theseatshop.com/resources/install-locator/

      We are currently doing R&D on the Blazer options but unfortunately, we are just not there yet. R&D can take a bit of time so for a solution right now we would suggest trying one of the upholstery shops in out Nationwide network to see if the nearest ones to you can try and help you out - www.theseatshop.com/resources/install-locator/

    The best position would be to have the seat as high as possible and in mid way between the forward and rear position. If you have any other questions we can help with, please don't hesitate to give us a call and we'll be happy to help you any way we can!
    Thanks!

      Hey, Raymond thanks for reaching out, the main difference will be in the material that was used for your 99 Suburban. If you would like please send us a picture of your VIN# and a picture of your seats to sales@theseatshop.com this way we can get you the right information on your seat options.

    • @TheSeatShop
      @TheSeatShop  4 роки тому

      Unfortunately, you won't be able to replace the cover without tearing it. The cover is glued to the foam cushion.

      @@TheSeatShop I was able to get the fabric up with a little bit of foam torn up with the fabric, but for the most part the seat shape is still there in the foam insert. Can the missing chunks be filled with a foam product?
