- In this video, I am going to show you how to replace the front driver side lower leather seat cover and foam on a 2000 to 2002 Chevy Suburban / Tahoe, GMC Yukon XL / Yukon. By doing that yourself, you would be saving a lot of money having the seats reupholstered at an upholstery shop.
The same DIY process is applicable to the following vehicles:
2000 - 2002 Chevrolet Suburban
2000 - 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe
2000 - 2002 Chevrolet Silverado
2000 - 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche
2000 - 2002 GMC Yukon / XL
2000 - 2002 GMC Sierra

One of the best DIY instructional videos I've ever seen. Outstanding job with this. Step-by-step couldn't have been clearer. Thank you!
This was an informative video. I followed it and removed the lower seat from my 2003 yukon. In my case the hardest thing was reaching and figuring out how to disconnect all the wiring connectors. It seems I failed to reconnect the seat warmer connector, so I had to remove it again. This time I just unbolted the whole seat. I found this to be much easier.
Thanks, nobody explained the process like you did. No need to take the whole seat out to do just the bottom cover.
That was so easy DIY Repair the seat cover on the Early 2000s Era Chevrolet Tahoe/Suburban GMC Yukon/Yukon XL not bad at all
Well Said and Well Spoken, you are indeed a Natural on doing these How To Video's. Thank You
Thanks for posting this! No need to take the whole seat out to do just the bottom cover. Very easy to do can't believe I waited so long to do mine. Good time to shovel out all the old french fries and potato chips from under the seat too. I think I will do the passenger side now since I am the upholstery wizard.
This was a very good how-to video. I appreciate how you gave detailed instructions. I have a `99 that I'm about to go; it should be fairly similar. Thank you so much!
Thank you for a very good instructional video. I had no idea where to begin.
thank you, very helpful and made the task a breeze.
Thank you for this video, very helpful!
Any updates on this seat cover? Wonder how the cheaper eBay units are holding up.
Outstanding. Very good pictures and narrative. I actually think I can do this!
Thank you for this video it was very helpful!
Great video!
Thx for the video!
Excellent video!
Use a heat gun to smooth out the wrinkles. Keep it moving or you can burn the cover. It will shrink up and look even better.
Thanks!
Thank you for your support, much appreciated!
In your future videos use a stationary camera instead of moving constantly. It makes me sea sick.
