Back to school video coming soon maybe? Snacks and lunches? (Unless I missed them! We don’t start until September!)
Yep! It’s on the schedule. Look for a few videos like that end of august/beginning of September
Yay! Can't wait! That's what I was hoping for too! Canada goes back September. ☺️♡
Envy you my son went back August. Just doesn't seem right. Jennifer 🤩
@@SeeMindyMom thank you! Looking forward to it!
@@momwifehomelife692 we’re in NYS 🤍 I’m glad we get to enjoy all the hot days before they go back!
My favorite all your videos: the budget ones. I think you do a great service of educating people how to save money on groceries, cooking at home, and still eating well.
I’m a 27 year old mom of 2 and we constantly need budget friendly meals. Love your channel sooo much! 🤍
In Canada some of the products and prices are different, but the struggle is the same, thank you for your inspiring videos!
That parmesan soup reminds me of pastina. Grandma used to make it. Its a good budget meal for kids because you can use those tiny pasta stars (but you don't have to) and if you add an egg or two you can get protein in there.
I'm so thankful for the videos you put out especially like these. My husband and I(both 23) have been trying to turn to a more frugal lifestyle and not letting our groceries go to waste.
I love the $5 Dinners videos.
They’re much harder to do these days!
@@SeeMindyMom They are.... but I find I can "double up" on some of your ideas and use it for two meals for right around $10 and that's definitely still a win!!!
Mindy, you should do a cookbook! This is an awesome video!❤️
I actually posted a mini-cookbook in the description with a few of the recipes! It is a pipe dream of mine to publish something much bigger someday :)
I'm all about budget recipes! I may need to try to do a video like this
Love the content it helps me so much!
Now, these are meals I can make and eat! They look so yummy. Plus, I know I've made some of them with my own spin on them. Thanks and God bless you all.
Yayyyy I’m so excited about this video!! So helpful!
Awesome recipes,Mindy, thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
Going back thru your videos, they have been so helpful these last few wks as we are living off 1 income due to my hubby's health issue. ❤
I use so many of your tips and recipes. Thx so much!
Great video!! I loved this. I’m thinking about making the porcupine rice as my next dish!
I made your faux lasagna pasta bake a few months back. Now my kids ask for it every time we have pasta. 🤩
I have to thank you for the sausage pasta recipe. I've never purchased Italian sausage before, but this recipe sounded so good that I bought some of it. It was a super simple recipe and I used penne pasta because that was what I had on hand. Anyway, my husband and my daughter could not quit saying how delicious this recipe was and to please make it again soon. Thanks again. Caron
I look forward to all your videos
❤ love this 🙂
I absolutely love all of your budget meal videos! I really should try more of these ideas out for myself. Thanks for the inspiration Mindy 😊
No problem! Thanks for watching!
This video is getting saved to my favorites. You gave a ton of ideas, thank you!
Love the recipies..enjoy you week.
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing that onion soup packet substitution! I have a family member that's allergic to the packet kind, so this is super helpful.
I love all of your tips, like using sausage instead of ground beef and adding canned soups to dishes to add flavor. Keep up the great work on your videos. I really enjoy them!
Always love these kind of video. Thanks for sharing Mindy!
Thanks, Cathy!
Love that your keeping it real for us!!
I try my best!
More great ideas! I need to rewatch how you made the spicy crackers, I’ve never thought of doing that!
Loved the soups bc I can bring them to work and have rice or pasta with them! Thanks again!!
You're awesome Mindy, thanks for making the content you do.
I appreciate that! Thanks so much, Melodi! :)
Yay love these
I’m so glad!
We need another online cookbook! I printed mine out and use it regularly when I need something with staple ingredients!
Love your videos! They always give me a ton of dinner ideas. Thanks for posting.
The Aldi bean and rice burrito is so good! I made it after you originally posted the recipe, and have made it two or three more times. It's not often my husband raves about a recipe, so when he does, I save it!
Oh I’m so glad, Jennifer! Thanks for letting me know!
I made your spicy ramen recipe a few weeks ago and am making it again tonight because my husband and I loved it so much!
It’s a new favorite for us, too!
Thank you so much! Love, love love all your videos!
I have made many of your recipes. My favorite is Dad’s Chili so so good. Also I have incorporated using those hamburger buns as garlic bread!!! 🥰🥰
Your videos make me feel like I'm talking to a friend 😁 thank you
Great idea and recipes. You are a treasure! God bless all here.
Great video I will be trying all these recipes as soon as school starts back up and I’m back to work. I enjoy your videos and love your style of presenting. So glad I found you, I look forward to seeing you every week!
Thanks so much for the compliments, Sherree! I appreciate it!
I made your spicy ramen recipe, and I immediately fell in love with it! I find myself craving it sometimes! Thank you so much!
Glad you liked it!! It's become a frequent flyer on our menu, too. It's super fast to make, and everybody really likes it.
The homemade Alfredo is delish! I made that for our family dinner night with allll the kids and everyone loved it! Super easy too!
Oh I’m so glad everybody liked it, Becky!
A great mix of recipes!!!😯😯😯😯🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
I recently discovered Spanish Tortilla. It's not fast but it is pretty easy and only 4 ingrediants eggs potatoes and onion and olive oil. So not expensive. I know you won't probably make it. But my kids loved it. and It was something nice and different.
As always, a video with great tips and ideas…
Glad you like them!
Love this video and how it sums up the best. I was surprised that your tomato soup recipe did not make the cut of the 20 best… it is one of my favorites!
You know…I had that on the list, but since it’s only 2 ingredients I didn’t know if it counts as “recipe” 😂 I should have mentioned it though because it’s a winner.
@@SeeMindyMom It sure is! Happy cooking as I know back to school is coming up.
Thanks for all your hard work. I have been a fan for about a year. I have made so many of your ideas. I hardly ever use onion soup mix due to sodium. I have used your version several times. All Delicious.
Wow, thank you! So glad you found me. :)
Oh my heavens! I just found out you are a former choir teacher. Now I love you even more because I am forever a chorus girl. I could sing you “Oklahoma”, or “One” if you prefer musicals or I could perform “Under an Orange Colored Sky” if you prefer jazz choir. I know all words to all popular top 40s music produced 1985-1995 whether I would like to or not. 😅
Thanks!! I am new here.
I love 7 up biscuits I make them at least once a week because I get family members who request it great video
I can’t make a homemade biscuit that is better than the 7up biscuits. It’s my go to recipe now.
I have made your taco spaghetti probably 5 or 6 times since seeing that video! It’s one of my favorite come together quickly meals! My family loves it! What I can add to that recipe is that it works with a variety of noodles, but steer clear of angel hair. Gets mushy even if it’s a bit al dente to begin with.
Oh yeah, that's a really good one, Brandy! I think the inspiration for that one came from a website called damndelicious, and we loved it, too!
@@SeeMindyMom, it’s a pretty good site! I’ve seen a few from them after perusing that are on my list to try. Thanks for doing these kinds of videos! It really is something we need! You did the research and put in the work to make it easy!
Hi Mindy I enjoy watching your videos. You are great lady to look up too :) your very inspiring person, and I have to tell you I love those glasses 👓 there so cute. Keep up the great content. 👍🏻🙏🏼🍽
Thank you!
I make the creamy chickpea vegetable rice one pot meal frequently :) it's in our regular rotation :) also enjoyed the Swedish style meatballs :)
Funny you mentioned the chickpea rice, I almost included that here too!
What is the recipe for this dish?
@@zz-ic6vy Mindy's March 3rd video for chickpea rice. April 13th video for swedish meatballs :)
Budget challenges inspire my creativity for frugal meal planning. I’d love to see a snacks budget challenge (maybe a weeks worth of snacks for a family of 5 for $10) and a vegan meals challenge
A classmate in grad school gave us those crackers for a Christmas gift, with the recipe included. She made a typo on the recipe title, so I have called them Spacy Crackers ever since. It always makes me laugh.
I just laughed out loud at this! Love it!
I wish they still made that Instant Pot Aura
I loved your video on hosting a party for $100. You had soups, salad bar, desserts. Can you do another similar one?
Yes! It's on the agenda for fall. Thinking about a sort of potluck/tailgating theme for football season.
I thought I was the only mom with a kid who didn't like potatoes?! Love your ideas and videos!
It’s hard to cook budget meals having to eat gluten-free. I do use a lot of rice meals and that helps and I just found that Ronzoni gluten-free pastas are not bad for cold salads. For main dish salads such as chicken or vegetables out of the garden and other meats.
My favorite thing to do to save is raw ingredients like lentils. They cook up quick and are so nutrient rich.
Great tip!
I've just discovered your videos! Just the few that I've seen, this is definitely relatable for me! We all need these recipes right now! BTW - are you a Tennessee Williams fan (because of your son being named Brick)?!
He is named after my dad who has always gone by Brick. I used to think my Grammy got that name from Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, but my dad was born nearly 10 years before that play debuted.
@@SeeMindyMom I really like that name!
Do you add the season pack that comes with the Ramen? Ty
No
I've watched your videos and love the recipes, but recently I got diagnosed with the start of what might be MS. I am currently on Gluten dairy free diet wondering if you have any good recipe ideas for that :)
Sorry to hear that, Ana! You might check out some vegan channels, since they wouldn't be using dairy. MiRanda over at Flourishing MiRanda also eats plant-based and gluten free, and she has some great recipe videos for that eating style.
@@SeeMindyMom thank you that's very helpful!
In a couple of your dishes, I wanted to use the shelf stable tortellini from ALDIS and I just thought about this, I bought extra so can I freeze the tortellini in the package OR, do I have to partially cook them then freeze? I read that if you don't partially cook the tortellini before freezing, it turns to mush once defrosted. Is that true?
Are the 7up biscuits sweet? I wonder if you could just use seltzer if you don't want sweet biscuits.
They don't taste sweet to us.
for the rice ground meat tomato in the instant pot. i dont have a low setting for the rice button. would it work with just the regular rice button
I don’t know, I made it in my instant pot aura which is a slow cooker not a pressure cooker. I’ve also made it on the stove before.
20 *BEST* EXTREME BUDGET MEAL IDEAS // FAMILY FAVORITE CHEAP RECIPES. Interesting and engaging video. I support your video. Watched the video Watched the video on Aug 9, 2022 very like. Thank you so much
I love crockpot meals . if you have any
I have several videos with crockpot meals if you scroll through my channel page. 😊
thank you
We call the crackers "firecrackers"! We like to use oyster crackers 😊
Oyster crackers are a great idea.
👍🏼
If you’re from Ohio….. I’m subscribing!
💜
I have a challenge for you. I am dairy and soy allergies. It really limits me. Soy and dairy are in everything! Any suggestions?
My kids don't like potatoes either!!! When I was a kid I would eat potatoes over any other side. Haha.
I have to say, it was fun to guess which ones you would use since I've already seen every video! I'll see how I guess right!
Haha! Let me know if there any good ones I left out!
How come your ramen noodles aren’t curly? Did you use a different noodle?
Sometimes I just use the packages from the grocery store, and sometime I use a brown rice ramen I get from Thrive market which is just the bricks, not the seasoning. The brown rice ramen isn't as curly.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Baking the tortellini doesn’t make them chewy?
They weren't chewy for me. I use frozen tortellini, not fresh.
I usually love your videos and recipes, and these are good also. Except for now with temperatures in the high 90's, I need recipes with little or no cooking. Thanks (Don't hate me.)

She posted a summer meal idea video a couple days ago! You should check it out :)
Hope you caught the previous video! ❤️
cool
7up biscuits are the best! Love them for a quick biscuits and gravy brunch 🙂
They’re so good!
Lemonade scones in Australia, still delicious though
