Actually it was because of Coriolis force ( புவி சுழற்சி விசை) ,
Not only water , every objects will will be affected by this force
it will deflect objects in right direction in Northern hemisphere and and left in Southern hemisphere
In equator Coriolis force is absent
For example : Olympic Shooters will shoot the target only after this deflection calculation
