- Volvo Trucks Active Driver Assist demonstrates one of the industry’s most advanced safety technologies. The system alerts the driver if there is a risk of collision with a vehicle in front, activating the brakes if necessary. It monitors the vehicles in front with the help of both radar and camera technology.

Great idea, however it is not at all safe for team drivers to use. When driving in traffic it is all but impossible to keep the warning beeper quiet. The incessant noise prevents the driver in the sleeper from getting a decent rest. This system is self-defeating in trying to reach its goal of safety on the roadways. A tired driver is much more dangerous than a professional driver actually driving their own truck.
It was invented by someone who had never been a driver. This is a good idea but only for computer games.
Personally, I really like Volvo trucks. New VNL is awesome and so much comfort. But driving assist is only great feature for passive style of driving. But at the same time it can be annoying, the same as hill assist. Specially, if you are driving faster than others(not speeding). Please give us option to turn it off..

I have a 2024 Volvo vnl860 truck. I haven't put the license plate on yet. It snowed and it gave a warning "VADA sensor Blocked". Then the check engine came on. How can it malfunction so easily?
i love volvo
Mind blowing
This system might be great if your driving cross country but if your doing city driving it SUCKS!!!!!!!! Constantly hearing that dam buzzer going off because of stupid four wheelers not paying attention to their driving and more interested in their STUPID phones
This is a very bad system Volvo has destroyed what used to be a good truck by adding this. City driving is a freaking nightmare and talk about getting pissed after a few minutes of beeping. Who ever thought of this should be banned from having anything to do with trucks.
