The difference and best thing about NG striker pack is the perfect kit for the anime fan because the details are anime accurate... The PG is RM model kit, so the details are a lil bit of exaggeration but still its a huge upgrade in terms of attachment and fitment of the parts. Its up to you what you want to go for with
As huge fan of Sword Striker Pack I was happy to see that it was done very well with this 1/60 scale NG version of Strike. How ever that said I got myself 1/100 scale NG Sword Strike instead as its cheaper and from all Striker packs I really wanted Sword Striker Pack.
You might already know this, but canon wise, the Schwert Gewehr was meant to include a beam rifle where the tiny beam blade goes. It is never stated in the series to the best of my knowledge, but the Gundam Wiki states the striker pack was still a prototype so that feature was not complete, so they added the smaller beam blade in its place.
Yeah, one imagines it would have had to be an emergency beam pistol or something.
I guess it could always mount the anti-ship vulcan and gun launcher shoulder pack from the Launcher Pack as a compromise if it wanted to. If I am understanding right, the Remastered anime is actually going to have it finally do the "Perfect Strike" formation.
Damn, you need an major overhaul customization to fit the NG packs to the RM PG
Dude please understand that it is not a PG because A non grade is just a bigger HG not fully articulated

The Striker Pack isn't worth it for an experienced model builder. You are just better off getting a 1/100 MG Strike. The Kit takes maybe 1 hour to completely build, and you will probably be disappointed with the proportions. I build one way back in 2005 and I broke a lot of things on it mainly the aile wings and the ball joint on the right leg. It was fun to build at that time, but after building a lot of MGs after it, I definitely felt a little cheated in hindsight.
I had this back in 2003 bought it for £50 was an awesome kit enjoyed assembling it main problems were the head and the Aile Strike pack was waaaay to top heavy...

That wingspan issue also exists in the 1/144 hg and the /100 no grade. I share your hatred of them.

It IS older, correct, but it's also a bigger scale and far more expensive. It is still absolutely reasonable to be impressed with how far Bandai's engineering has come along.

Probably, though I think he can purge parts of it as needed.
I still might get this sometime, even with some of the disappointments like the mediocre elbows
While it surely isn't good for your own stress, it's always funny when you get irritated with the kit somewhat, like making the hand flip off or yanking the wings off of the Chicken Aile
i got the Perfect Grade aile strike... its my baby boy... Anyway... pple just buy the 1/60 real detail(NG) strike for the size... coz it looks nice on their shelves... big.... majestic... but trust me pple... if you wanna a big 1/60 gundam... buy the PG....so much worth it...

Well there's a saying i really believe in... You get what you pay for. But for the price I'm going to pay for the kit i guess it's fair enough. I am getting these NG 1/60 I'd love to play around and paint, weather or damage them. Won't be as painful in the pocket.
That PG Striker is that a straight build or did you panel line and paint. Just wanted to know, great video.

@kakarot197 Yeah, exactly. Expensive, and difficult to find room for, just not a good idea for me right now, especially since I only started in the hobby last year.
Why does the aile strike even have wings? The original version can't even be used in atmosphere

Your expectig too much for a no grade but youre right in some parts like the legs, they should have used peg joints or double ball joints instead of ball joints
The head problem is part of the design.
Wish they could re-issue it as a perfect grade, with all that implies. As a COMPLETE kit this time.

Eh, ixnay what I said earlier. While it'd look impressive on my bookshelf, it's probably just not worth it, especially since all I have are 1/144s, so there isn't really anyone to pose him with.

The PG is really good (the 1/60 NG of course isn't as good) but if you want to get a strike cheaper get the MG

I got the RG ver and its way better than this one. I might get the PG ver. More articulation, more mechanical detail, more fun build and of course more expensive~XD

Since it's a 3rd party(=produced without Bandai's permission) I don't think you'll be able to find that particular kit there.
