About Daz bringing up dollar bills being checked out if they're real and nowadays people run a marker across them to confirm, made me think back in the early 80s when I had my first job at a bank. I was a receptionist working with the bigwigs of the branch. Back then we didn't have markers to check if bills were counterfeit but Jim Thompson, Head Of Security, told me how to check if any bill was counterfeit and it still works today if anyone was curious. You just take the bill and rub it hard against white paper, if any ink comes off, the bill is real, if no ink comes off, it's counterfeit.
I’m a woman and wear boys 5 . I never would’ve thought of buying sneakers in the mens department but that was the only way to find track spikes back in the 70s
I do not understand people obsessed with shoes.
its the same with all hybebeast stuff, at the end of the day its just some string with a label slapped on it made in China or some other Asian country using cheap labor. At least with paintings for the most part were hand painted by someone. I bought some fake "hypebeast" items at a flemarket for maybe 5% to 10% of what the item would cost if it was real. They look the same and feel the same, and I can wear them.
Neither do I, but I am not into fashion at all really. I pick shoes based on comfort and don’t have many.
For people who don't understand the point of the store:
people go to that shop and sell Jordans or hyped shoes that they no longer want and would rather have the money the store buys them for under the market value and then the store sells them for over market so they sell for profit since people usually go there because they need the money due to hard times or just would like some cash in their pocket

I must be odd, because I buy a new pair of shoes like....every 3 years? I basically wear the same 2 pairs for ages until they get too messed up to be presentable.

@@spencergrice3172 "fashionable" lol. I worked in marketing for over a decade, the industry is gross. It's all about selling things to women, and making men buy things to attract women. Otherwise you're "not a real man, and women won't like you unless you provide this for them."
Why do identical male vs female hygiene products have different costs when the ingredients are the same? It's literally called a "pink tax"
...most of the people buying these shoes never wear them tho, they treat them like art.... items made in China or other Asian countries by kids or slv labor, all because of the brand attached to them.
