I actually much preferred the whole "All souls go to the same place" interpretation where Jedi see becoming one with the force as heaven and Sith view it as hell since they lose their individuality.
There's more of a cosmic irony to it, especially since the Sith then build their own hells trying to avoid such a fate.

I agree that's a very fitting way of explaining the star wars afterlife. I still find it pretty depressing that only people that learn the force ghost technique can go to the afterlife, not sure if that was true for legends tho or if it was just clone wars
@@BalakeFisher my interpretation of it is that all become one with the force, it's just Jedi who learned the force ghost technique can maintain their identity. However, I think it's like in order to do it, you must dedicate yourself to the force itself, so that once you become a ghost you can only do what the force wills, which is why they never do much.

@@BalakeFisher an unfinished novel called Supernatural Encounters explores heavily into the ethereal and Lovecraftian aspects related to the SW galaxy (universe), its lost history, and the very Force itself. Chaos in its last version is a semi-nerfed version of Hell where only the most wicked beings in history are casted into it. But for 99.99% of other living beings, everything goes to the Celestial realm (heaven). When the end of creation comes "all" souls will be called back to the Celestial realm and subsequently "The Supreme Maker."
I had the Otherspace module back in the early/mid 90s. The Charon were cool insectiod baddies. Cool memory thanks man

I downloaded all the West End Games adventure modules for my Star Wars campaign. I'll be sending the team to Otherspace a few missions down the line - they are SO going to freak out!😱
I honestly wish in Legends we had a horror series about Luke sending a team of Jedi to uncover the mysteries of Unknown Regions and horrors of otherspace. Two things I would love more in legends is more criminal syndicate stories and SW cosmic horror stuff.
The high republic actually goes a little into the cosmic horrors with the leveller. Something that makes especially jedi panic. I don't want to spoiler anything big though.

@@rejectionrole1237 more Legends fans need to know about this. Anyone that knows basic EU content knows we've been starving for almost a decade. Only SWTOR and reprints of EU comics and novels have kept us and the lore alive. But goodness gracious, the amount of lore and stories in this latest version of Supernatural Encounters is unholy xD

I wonder how much wacky stuff from legends will ever be reintroduced into canon.
They seem to be going really hard on the marvel-esque structure at the moment which isn't leaving a huge amount of room for this kind of stuff which is a shame.
The Fallen Order games are probably our best bet seeing as they've actually explored the ancient past and hopefully will continue to do so.
The scene from The solo story where they run into a giant creature and a black hole thing in the fog around that mining planet is one of my favorite scenes visually speaking from the recent star wars movies

The stories and lore in it are mind-boggling. I could die in peace if I ever found out the eras and lore mentioned in SE (and Legends in general) were animated and/or expanded upon in anthology films, comics, and novels.
Four Captains from four different universe were drinking in a bar. Until one Captain from a normal hard scifi ask what horrors do they typically encounter?.
*Halo:* Nothing really. Just some damn infestation.
*Star Trek:* Anomalies, lots and lots of anomalies.
*Star Wars:* Giant freaking worms.
*40K:* Starts PTSD and calling the nearby Imperial Guards to fortify the bar.
Starcraft Marine: Zerg Rushes. More Zerg Rushes than Stars on the galaxy.

I don’t know man when you look into the lore behind the flood it’s a lot more terrifying than an infestation. Still has nothing on 40k at all though nothing has anything on 40k and all the insanity that it entails.
Stargate: An unstoppable force of self replicating whatsits.
Mass Effect: Giant squids from space who want to destroy everything while turning some into cyborg zombies. Wait, isn't that just a false claim?
Dead Space: A bunch of sentient moons that increase their numbers by devouring entire civilizations.

The talk of Hyperspace Madness jolted a thought to me if Ezra returns thats something he didn't account for, leading to the "Joruus Cbaoth" in new continuity for Thrawn

@@ChupeTTe I don't mess with Canon that much but Ezra becoming slightly deranged from prolonged exposure to a view in hyperspace would be interesting. And if he becomes a Dark Jedi like Cbaoth as well, even if he's redeemed back to the Light his mind will always be damaged and never be the same Ezra people knew from Rebels.

Could you do a video on the practical dangers of Hyperspace (eg: stuff like Han's quote as the Falcon escaped Tatooine in ANH or accidentally pulling a "Holdo Manoeuvre")?
I still don’t get why people hate the Holdo Maneuver to begin with. It’s just fiction, and it’s always broken continuity before, so this shouldn’t be so surprising.
@@nickter745thebold8 I didn't say I took issue with it (but the 1 in a million line from ep9 completely contradicted it since the reaction from Hux and the other officer in TLJ made it look like there was a high probability of the manoeuvre working as Holdo got the ship into position), I just used it as an example for what could go wrong if you messed something up while travelling through hyperspace.

This is most definitely the way. But I honestly think Ecks been dodging this topic for the longest because he wants to see the final version of SE. Dude probably didn't wanna make 2+ videos of him retracting what he told fans with certainty just a few weeks ago. And it'd be great to see him break down sections of the novel in parts on this channel or discuss it on his podcast with his friend in depth.
But I'm gonna be honest, he could only say so much in these videos before he loses people completely (not outta interest, but understanding) when discussing something like SE. I only think a fraction of the EU community even know about it currently and with the overwhelming mass of casuals in SW videos nowadays, they'd have no choice but to listen to something they have little to no context about. Hopefully this'll gas some fans up to go read the novel but that might also turn some fans off with the page count and immense Silmarillion-like lore.
@@blackshogun272 me personally I’ve never read a single Star Wars book or comic, only ever watched the Star Wars media, so I’d consider myself a casual fan, but I have a massive interest in the EU n I get that information and subject matter from my favorite Star Wars lore channels, so that’s y I shout loudly for certain topics to be made cuz it’s basically how I “read” a Star Wars novel/comic

Try covering Dark Side entities and Sith sorcery. I'm curious to know what type of entities can be created by the Dark Side of the Force.
The only one I know for sure that's made of pure dark side energy incarnate is the monolith creatures created by Sith Emperor Vitiate. But if we're talking corrupted and mutated by the dark side for malicious + scientific purposes then (sheeeeeesh) we got a long list to go down.

@@princeofpokemon2934 they appear in the MMORPG "Star Wars: The Old Republic" when the Sith Emperor to demonstrate his power and mastery in The Force. I always wondered if this was a twisted reference to the Judeo-Christian God creating monsters like the Leviathan and Behemoth as testaments to his power over Creation? Maybe its a reach but not one without a little merit to it.

@@princeofpokemon2934 I think the majority info we got on them comes from an in-game codex (encyclopedia). Their definitely called Monoliths, just checked, and they come in many sizes like rancor.
The multiverse theory says there are 10 to 22 different frequencies/dimensions/versions of the universe that all exist in the same place at the same time.
PS: Whistleblowers from teleportation programs in deep underground military bases describe a similar blue tunnel as the star wars hyperspace when travelling between portals or 'jumpgates'. According to Andy Basiago there are entities that actually live in that void and they seem to watch portal travellers when they come through.

A pure entity of the dark side just sounds like the light side of the force to me. Being purely force means there isn't somebody imposing their will on it
I assume pure in this aspect refers to its (meta)physical existence of something made up entirely of or created from The Force. Entity's that fit this description are: Sel-Makor, Tenebrae, Sith Smoke Demons, The Old Ones, The Darker + Star Weirds, and countless other I can't remember and have yet to be identified/discovered...
