Nothing states that the Andor guys are CSA if you rewatch the episode. They are a normal Corporation, not the CSA. You are mixing a few things here, which is for normal people a "normal" mistake but for a lore channel a bit sad.
It says corporate security headquarters, I know what u mean though and worried about that, but if not that is so silly of Disney to do that. And I thought it said Andor's homeworld was mid-rim, everything else still doesn't give a location. But since they were clearly channeling the Corporate Sector of legends I'm fine with doing this video while people are wondering what this whole corporate space thing is.
Pinned this for now at least to see what people think
I mean, Disney has taken a lot of stuff from legends.
Yeah but could be exploring free trade zone of legends too, but I think the feel is more CS and the influence would overlap a lot
Imperial goons wearing cop uniforms and harassing citizens while their employers enslave the entire population... Does it matter if they explicitly said its the CSA? The two things are clearly one and the same thematically.
I was surprised to see the Corporate Sector be approved by Disney. Because it puts large mega businesses in a bad light.
Ah, but only the *evil* "large mega businesses".
Pretty sure the Rat Empire qualifies. They even had their own 'government' area in Florida for a couple decades. The FL legislature only ended that a few months ago.
@@Reepicheep-1 You think that's how the rodent sees it?
Disney is marxist working for chyna
That's assuming they have self awareness
For clarification, we don't know for sure that Andor is in the Corporate Sector. At least Free Trade Zones, which can be in mid or outer rim. All the info in this is still true for the CS, but if you don't think Andor is there, then just see the clips as b-roll as it would look the same and backed the points I was making about the CS. I think they are clearly trying to pull from the CS vibe, and I've been talking about hoping they would explore the CS for a while. Also the main police station place does say Corporate Security headquarters. And as of now, only Andor's homeworld was said to be in the mid-rim. None of the other corps yet have a location, they are brand new for Andor.
Perhaps we will find out in the show. Either way, interesting!
Are you still going to do that remake video of the Venator Class Star Destroyer?
I think it's safe to assume it's the CSA. Disney seems to be picking and choosing random things from old Legends and EU material so it would make sense that this is "totally not the CSA, just a corporate sector that holds large influence."
Either way, great to learn more about such an underrated part of the galaxy.
@@teatanks6481 The CSA was in a recent canon book, so they’re already canon, but who knows
You definitely can’t say for sure yet whether it’s their or not. It very well could just be a corporation in the Mid Rim. The only hint as to the location of Andor so far was the mention of a Woobani run. Woobani is in the Mid Rim and not that close to the Corporate Sector. However, given travel times aren’t really fleshed out in the Star Wars universe that may not really mean anything.
That CSA starship looked awesome
I'm glad that they're bringing back the Corporate Sector Authority, I loved them as an antagonist force in The Han Solo Adventures.
Nah, more grave robbing! They were so proud of their so called "creative freedom" (that's the reason given for destroying the EU!) and now they are trying to use nostalgia as a weapon against old fans who walked when they started destroying the old characters (Luke and Han especially, both are turned into losers!) and becoming woke! Bah, disgusting! Absolutely vile! Disney has become a hive of scum and villany :(
Bring Back Bollux!
@@oneproudbrowncoat I hate that they retconned his name into a corruption of his model number instead of his name just being a pun made by pissed off outlaw techs.
@@SamwiseOutdoors Not to mention that Han'd have been far better matched with Jessa, than that space-witch politician. As people always forget, he's a criminal.
@@oneproudbrowncoat Nah, Jessa could run circles around Han with her eyes closed.
I wonder if we'll ever get to see the Victory Class on screen? Seems a good opportunity to do it here.
it's a crime that we haven't seen a Victory in live action
One of my favorite ships in Star Wars. Would love to see it.
@@christophernemeth421 I hoped they would in Episode 2 or 3 and was so disappointed when they didn’t
They brought back the Corporate Sector Authority in Shadows of the Sith as well.
Enric Pryde who we see in TROS was a High Colonel in CSA. Pryde worked with an Imperial remnant that sent him to the CSA as an agent. It's interesting to see the CSA working with the Imperial remnants.
Han Solo at Star's End was an awesome book and I always thought it would be cool to see the Corporate Sector in the films.
Ok, this video definitely cleared up some things for me after watching the first three episodes of Andor, especially the part where the guard at the business in the opening says no credits and my first thought was “then how do people pay for things at the business?” I wasn’t aware there was corporate script in the Star Wars universe so this tiny detail, like many you mentioned in this video, help me better understand what’s likely going on in the locations we’ve visited so far in the show. Thanks for making this video! I’m glad I found your channel!
The Corporate Sector was so powerful and rich that the both the Republic and the Empire had to give them a more independence compared to the rest of the Galaxy.
Trillions of credits and the industrial output of entire worlds in your back pocket gives you bargaining power. If CorSec isn't making money off you, they WILL find someone else to do business with. Probably people trying to overthrow you.
I remember reading somewhere that the CSA security forces are one of the only groups to still use the ballistic gun.
I find this faction to be interesting. Love your content meta
While watching andor I immediately saw the similarities between the corporate sector and the show. I was wondering why nobody was doing any lore videos on the corporate sector until I realized they never actually CALLED it the corporate sector in the show 😂
I love the vibes the first episodes in the corporate sector gave me. Kinda gave me those gritty, dark vibes that Cyberpunk or the new Batman movie gave me.
This video would've been cool to have two weeks earlier then my D&D group were choosing neutral allies for Mandalore, but still very informative
Lol true they would've been good
"Oppressors are more diverse than ever!"
lmao
The thumbnail makes the corporate guy look like captain scarlet . Hillarious
First two minutes is describing the US in space
I don't believe it is CSA in andor at all but i love the video about corporate sector
Yeah might not be but thanks glad u liked it and I really hope they at least pull in both
So, we don't actually know where in the galaxy some of the planets featured in "Andor" like Morlana One are located yet other than some vague hints. Morlana One is controlled by Consolidated Holdings of Preox-Morlana Corporation, which is A corporate authority, but not THE Corporate Sector Authority. What makes this all the more confusing is that Disney's Star Wars databank webpage just says Morlana is in control of "the powerful Corporate Authority," capitalized...
However Preox-Morlana definitely seems to be in-line with CSA doctrine and I wouldn't doubt that they're overseen by them or derived from them in some way. But in Andor, the Empire swipes authority away from Preox-Morlana and would more or less leave the CSA alone for several years after that.
You know Star Wars is fiction when the market is portrayed as the best source of innovation and progress :DD
And I thought they were new, you'll learn something new everyday.
Fun fact: Han Solo at Star's End and Han Solo and the Lost Legacy have been restored to canon, via one of the tie-in books to Solo: A Star Wars Story having an appearance by Bollux, who describes the events of both books. Whether the same applies to Han Solo's Revenge is unclear.
I like how they are covering autonomous factions during this era not really part of the Empire but an ally, affiliate or client state.
Hope you do another version of this after the 2 seasons of Andor to add in the new lore.
Exceptional knowledge of the lore. Superb presentation.
There are a lot of interesting stories to be told about corporate space in Star Wars.
Catching up on the vids
Awesome! Thanks.
Love the vids
It's Mark Hamill's birthday today happy birthday to Grand Master Jedi Luke Skywalker

@@ryanfarrelly4647 This a republic a Democracy
Is it one giant gated community.
funny i would love to see more like corporate in star wars canon so we can get more story other then jedi vs sith that i am tired off more or less
Love the channel
Oppressors are more DIVERSE than ever😂😂😂
Disney screwed up when a 10 minute recap is more interesting than anything Star Wars they make.
i love these kinds of videos!!!
Epic Video, 10 yeets out of 10
Intresting
It was mentioned in a new hope deleted scenes bigger mentioned it to look being nationalised
Still been waiting all these years for a video on the Tri-Fighter or "Clutch" from I,Jewish written by Michael a Stackpol. Hahahahahahha good video
Would like to see the dreadful Espos units one day.
Hello.
I would to ask for a video...if possible.
I would like to know if there are unique blasters/pistols/rifles in star wars.
Every rare or unique weapon is a lightsaber lr something related to that
Maybe there is a unique blaster that is so unique, that it can not be replicated.
Maybe a weapon lost in story, but someone found it and it gives them an advantage.
I am a destiny player and my idea about these weapons is something like an exotic weapon from that game.
I hope there is something like that in SW lore.
Always preferred the corps "Phaserbook" and "Goldman Darth"...
They brought a few new ships i haven't seen before, and the Andor series brought Stellan Skarsgård to Star Wars, if he haven't been in any SW media before. His character probably had been SW media before
Pulse what warheads? I hope you aren't talking about the planetary Ion-Cannon, because that was not using warheads, it was a direct energy weapon, no something launching torpedos or something!
That's why I showed a clip from the tie fighter game, I have a whole vid on the ion cannon
Any culture possessing a sufficiently advanced technologically to create megastructures in space that can harbor an ideal biome has no real need of a planet beyond its resources.
Question : where is the timeline currently, what is the most up to date point in time & subsequent stories of the history & lore?
The CSA or it's equivalent in Andor seems to be made by the empire as cheaper security in area's they don't want to waste stormtroopers and other imperial resources on. And even then it won't be as massive a presence like on other more important planets.
These vids are so good
Thanks I'll keep em coming
@@MetaNerdzLore Are you still gonna do a remake of the Venator Class Star Destroyer?
This kind of sounds like the world today
You are making the mistake of mixing the legends (non canon) stories and the new expanded universe (actual Canon)
Lol comment bait I like it. Remember guys comments help with the algorithm. The real question is why this hasn't become a future of Rey theory channel yet
9:50 looks like a character that Jerry Lewis might play.
I just want to see the Marauder Class corvette become canon
Remind me of Jedi fallen order. The guild and cooperation since the republic fall into empire. Engineer and worker start to being treat like slave to the mega cooperation.
I wan to see a ship operating on the fluidic systems that Chewie hates so much.
Can you make videos on Ahch-To and Ossus?
is this based on the info up to episode 3 of andor or 4?
no, Legends information. I'm not even sure if Andor Pre-Mor company is the same thing, seems like jumping a gun
Well, in the thumbnail shows a character from andor, so i was just askin prior to watchin so i didnt get spoiled. Some people had early access to the 4th one, while most of us had only up to 3
Just curious is there a place I am able to download this chill BGM you use for your videos?
It’s funny when you think you know Star Wars and then watch a video like this….
from where are those live action movies in the video?
When is the next episode coming out btw?
Glad we don't have anything like these megacorps in real life! Oligarchs, wage slavery, can you imagine?? Can you? Can you.
You should really start separating legends from canon.
Didn't they say Pre-Mor is in Mid Rim and a separate company? Assuming they're the same as Corporate Sector seems like jumping a gun
Doesn't say where it is yet, I feel like it will play between general free trade zones and Corporate Sector. If it never ends up being the CS at all, consider the shots b-roll as it's all the same issues as the CS and there are barely any images to use for a CS vid let alone shots
Come to think of it, is there any info on the place Finn visited in Ep 8? Was that CSA space?
I decided that I can look things up for myself, and that explains a lot.
Gonk
Just remember...when Georgie Lucas decide to yaps his mouth freely about the freedom of Soviet Film-maker, He lost his ownerships and directorship over Star Wars.
Just saying, be careful of what you say, no pressure.
And you still haven’t finished Tarkin
The corporate sector is not a place I would visit in the star wars galaxy.
I can’t accept this as part of my canon .
I am trying to get into Andor, but I am struggling. BoBF, I enjoyed it. Obi, loved it. Andor.... trying to stay positive.
CSA...hmm sounds familiar probably not important
Down with the Oligarchs and Corporations!
Wait bring slaves into the CSA was a death penalty offense under CSA law wasn't it? I could swear that got stated in one of the Han Solo Adventures novels at least.
The slave trade was illegal in the CSA, but that doesn't mean the CSA didn't have its own slaves.
Wait wait what... You're combining Canons? Huh.
Yeah all the time. Since I started this channel right in the middle of people freaking out that Disney destroyed canon, I always make a coherent story with legends and canon, and point out when some detail is mutually exclusive. Some of the complete life videos have to be canon or legends since so much is different, but most lore is the same when a new canon book comes out anyways.
@@MetaNerdzLore that's pretty cool, I like backporting things to Legends since that was my universe, personally.
I don't care, I'm pretending Morlana One was CSA.
Hi, i love your channel and ive been a fan for ages by now, i have a question. Would you mind not mixing legends with canon? Any separation between those two would be nice, like something on screen to indicate it or something. Thanks :)
The CSA are borderlands, but with some manners
That acronym is unfortunate
Coolio
Legends is superior to Canon
The CSA is a rather good example of what fascism is in practise. Living under the CSA is kinda like living under Mussolini, Franco, Salazar or Pinochet.
What? Only some forms of Post-Fascism but both Classical Fascism (Mussolini) and Neo-Fascism (Nazism) refuse to allow Corporate authority to superceded State and National Authority as they atill contain a connection to Proto-Fascism's (National Syndicalism) anti-capitalist nature.
I listened up until the shitty disney crap was mentioned....
I really love your channel a ton, absolutely amazing videos and I love the breakdowns. However I have to admit this video kind of comes off as rushed since Andor is what's new. I only say this since at the moment we don't know if the people in Andor ARE the CSA
great video definetly one of the coolest imperial warlord regions
great!
i really enjoy your presentations, please keep on making them.
Despite what others think, I actually like these guys. They're not bad guys - just men sent to do a mission and actually look like they care for each other. Want to see more of these guys.
You're right, and I think that's what makes it an important lesson. If you haven't heard of Hannah Arendt's "banality of evil," look it up. I think that's what they're channeling.
