I have a Ezgo TXT PDS that has been nothing but trouble. I have replaced the solenoid, controller, rebuilt the motor, speed sensor and Inductive Throttle Sensor. The cart will only go 5 mph. What should I look at?
Ran through all the checks. Voltage on everything you checked. Mash the pedal and the sol clicks. I jumped the m- and b- and nothing happened. Assuming it’s the motor? Any additional checks to check the motor ?
If you checked all the post on the f n r board and they show voltage like in the video above. And you jumped the controller. There is something wrong in the motor
What happens if you go to the battery side of the solenoid and then motor side of the controller had already have 36 volts. It looked you you had nothing till you pushed the pedal.
It’s probably just dead voltage. Meaning there’s no amps. Just static voltage. If there was actually voltage with amps the cart would be running at that time
Hello brother you've helped me in the past. I been watching your video here on my controller I have extra terminals I have B- B+ A2 M- how do i test my controller is my A2 your A1 My car was going real slow and a little jerky then just stopped then sometimes works but just kreeps.I thought it was my throttle Censor I changed it it's good I tested everything else like you showed me in the thread everything's good but I just have different terminals then you in this thread
So if I put my meter on the red terminal Of the battery I should put the other end on A2 or m- to test my controller I have 1.5 on white wire and 13.7 on the black all the way to the floor with the pedal
I executed all these tests and did not have a failure. Now I am thinking maybe its the motor. One thing that is unusual is when I connect the negative wire to the battery I get a big spark. I don’t have any accessory wires hooked up, so I know it is not a short from the lights. Any tip as to what I might try next? Thanks for your help.
Jack the cart up and jump m- and b- on the controller together with a battery wire then hit the gas. If controller is bad cart will run. If not hit the gas and jump a1 and s2 with a wire and see if it sparks. Don’t hook the motor wires together just lightly touch them as you hit the gas
I've been rebuilding a 99 txt series cart in your videos have helped me a lot. I changed it over to a single lithium battery. It runs super slow and has no power forward or reverse. At about 6:20 in this video you are showing how to test the controller. I did the test and only get gradual voltage up to 11 v off the m- terminal on the controller. I jumped B- and M- negative, when I hit the pedal it hits full speed like you said. You mentioned at about 7 minutes that you've seen reverse micro switches get stuck. Are you referring to the switch on top of the f&r switch with orange wire attached to it? Could this be a problem with the controller?
Man I need your help. My 1999 EZGO txt limo quit working on me. I installed a single 48v lithium battery and it worked fine for a few rides. I messed up and went to try and fix my headlights and ended up sparking two wires together. I have replaced the solenoid, forward reverse switch, and new key switch to no avail. Any ideas?? Also my lights are now working.
@@HeyHeyHey97it was just the headlight wires I believe. One of the two blue wires (which lead directly to the headlights) I have no reverse sound or anything. I can hear a click coming from the pedal when I push it and the solenoid is getting volts when I press it but nothing other than that.
Hi, got an ergo early 90,s model. Got 6 new batteries an it goes slow forward an even slower in reverse. Changed controller & motor still same thing. The forward an reverse board was changed and it been slow since then. It appears that it’s in good condition no burning from the wires. Any solution?
On my FR board I have full voltage on the far passenger side terminal, but the other three show one volt or less when pedal is depressed or not depressed I bought this used not running for a good deal. This is the only issue I can find. Any ideas? Golf cart whisperer?
1.6 V on top post 1.9 V on bottom post 38.39 on passenger side post .41 V on driver side in reverse with pedal depressed 38.32 V on top post 38.32 V on bottom post 38.32 V on passenger side 0 V on driver side when in forward with pedal depressed All readings with negative lead on main negative positive lead testing
I’m running through your checks here and I have full voltage on my controller from a1 to my negative before I hit the gas pedal. I’m also not getting any voltage at my f n r switch on three of the post. Would this be a controller issue?
Ok sorry. I don’t have A1, it’s M-. Would that be the same? I tried jumping them two together and the cart did nothing. Do I need to have the pedal pushed or anything or just jump then together? If M- is the same as a2 and the cart did nothing, my controller is good. What else could cause me to have power at the switch on only the bottom terminal and not the others? I appreciate your time in answering these questions. Thanks
I didn't have voltage on all 4 posts on the FNR. Replaced it. Still nothing. If the speed controller is bad will that also cause no voltage on all 4 posts of FNR?
@@HeyHeyHey97 in the video he test voltage at the speed controller. He said if there is no voltage you probably have a bad speed controller. I have no voltage on those posts of the speed controller. Everywhere else I have good voltage. I'm actually driving right now to pick up a used speed controller. Will update in a couple hours.
I watch as lot of videos and this was the best by far - - step by step on checking my controller. Thanks!!

Check voltage on your tow switch and make sure you have battery voltage on all 4 wires. I have several videos on how to test a pds.
Half voltage on any wire will cause it to run slow. Watch my other videos on Ezgo pds and let me know what you find out.

A2 is your b+ out the controller
Yes the cell note clicks I just put a new one in it because I had a brand new one here

Does your sol click when you hit the gas
What all does it do when you hit the gas
Yes sol clicks. Cart does not run.
I hit the gas and the sol clicks and that’s all the response I get.

Would you happen to have a link for this wiring harness? I have the same controller in a gifted cart and having no luck finding the diagram
Yes will send it to you in about 1 hour. Driving home from work
Thank you!

Yea unplug the orange wire off the micro switch. And just let it hang there
Thanks for commenting. Hit that like and subscribe button for me.
Let. Me know what it does either way.
I forgot to mention I did pull the orange wire off and it still runs slow.
