@@inigoonwilsoon In the podcast, they said it was more that this was the first time they'd been anwhere after the pandemic lockdown, and were massively high off that.
I was honestly terrified that the next task would be "Who can deliver Daisy's baby" since she was pissing herself laughing so much.

There's a video somewhere about him talking about his parental responsibilities, and how he wants his son to view him, and it's both heartbreaking and a clarion-call from the rooftops for everyone who just wants to be a better human
Most of his comedy routines are about poking fun at himself. Even when he, for comedic effect, lost his shit at that lad with the perfect hair on 8 out of 10 cats, he still span it around on himself to make himself look like the twat and to diffuse (pardon the pun) the situation so that the lad didn't feel attacked. Not many comedians think in terms of how their jokes might hurt others, but he does.
He's my comedy hero, along with the mighty (if clinically insane) Bob Mortimer.
Also, Kathy Burke loves him, and there are few better endorsements than that :)

This goes some way to explaining why Katherine always looked as though she had been crying and was so stoney faced all the time - presumably trying to hold it together and not laugh.

Is the most deadpan hilarious underappreciated joke that has ever been on this show. I cackled like a hen laying an egg when I saw it the first time.

@@user-zs9zs9nq9l It's referring to how the virgin Mary got pregnant. But then it implies he didn't have sex with his wife and they still had kids, so she obviously had sex with someone else
@@user-zs9zs9nq9l He doesn't like hugs implying he doesn't like intimacy, yet he has two children, but he says it might be a miracle, implying that he hasn't had sex with his wife so the existence of children would be miraculous. Or what the other guy said.

Worth noting too that it's a clever follow-on from Greg's joke. Greg's implication was that it was a miracle he'd got close enough to his wife to have kids; Alex went even further by implying the kids must have been miraculously conceived (as the guys above have said). It's very subtle and hard to explain!

Having no audience there makes it feel like a group of mates getting together to have a laugh. I like that more than the live shows.
I feel that the first clip is probably made funnier by the lack of an audience.
It was fine, but I missed the audience and their reactions.
With all the giggling it was like they had a lot of pints before recording the show.
I feel there are pros and cons with and without the studio audience
i like it too but i think it depends a lot of how comfortable they are with each other (or like how comfortable they seem to be anyways), like the first episode of the new series is out and it feels a bit more awkward than this season was

Johnny putting his hand up to watch the video only after seeing Katherine was ok with it melts my heart
Outtakes where barely anything is said because everyone on set is laughing too hard are just fantastic. Especially with the context that for many of them, this was their first time seeing other people during the Lockdown.
'spunk denier' will forever be iconic
Almost 8 minutes of 7 people pissing themselves with laughter. Daisy was laughing so hard during the recordings that Greg and Alex were genuinely worried she would go into labour!
I feel like this isn't ALL of the season 10 outtakes, on account of it not being at least 8 hours long.
I feel like I would genuinely enjoy watching an unedited studio session.
I've been in the audience in a show in an earlier series (the one where Jessica Knappett fell off the stage). If you get a chance to (when things get back to normal and they are allowing audiences in the studio) I would recommend it.

@@Ilovebeansm8 it was quite a tense moment as she appeared to fall quite badly. Greg jumped up to help her up and succeeded (in his words) only in accidentally fondling her breast.
The paramedics took her off to assess her, so there was quite a tense pause in proceedings, but they eventually decided she was OK (apart from a few bruises) and she rejoined the show.

This entire season is just one big breakdown, which is incredibly fitting for current times
Emotions flow more freely in troubling times I suppose. Laughs too.
I think Richard said it was their first time out of the house since lockdown, so they were feeling extra silly

The "actually my kids might be a miracle" line with Alex staying completely deadpan might be the funniest joke ever, mostly because it was almost overlooked
It was pretty much overlooked considering they cut it out of the show...
Most of the funniest parts of this series are thanks to Catherine Parkinson doing funny shit and then putting up with people taking the mick, what a hero
Greg turning his teleprompt flub into a psychotic bellow was just fantastic.

I love how you hear the crew laughing in the back after the miracle-joke, it shows that the team probably has a pretty good atmosphere and genuienly like each other :)
I love it at 1:03, when Johnny says “Does that get her a point?”, and it cuts to Greg giggling behind his hand.
This is definitely one of best shows on television; Greg and Alex are absolutely perfect together, and really know how to get the best out of the format/the contestants.

I can't even imagine how many people had to hold back their laughter every time they read "Ivanka Trump" ("I wank a trump").
Nothing will make me laugh as much as when Knappett fell off the stage but there were moments of this series that were right up there.

On his podcast, Richard said there was about six tasks that never made it onto the show. Must be loads of content that will never be seen.

Having listened to the Taskmaster podcast with Greg talking about the little fart & knowing he knew it didn't happen just makes it funnier.
I think this whole series is a huge testament to Katherine. Being consistently really horrible at something and still staying good natured, laughing with everyone who’s taking the piss out of her, makes me like her a lot.

Every season I start unsure about some of the contestant and every season I love them all more by the end.
Also Johnny Vegas is a national treasure.
We would never have had these outtakes if there was an audience to keep them "in line" with their performance. Thank you 2020 for this one gift.

I was so nervous for this series given that it moved to Channel 4, had lockdown in the middle of filming, and had no audience in the studio. But man oh man is this series glorious. These intimate, awkward, childish moments likely only happened because of the circumstances. What a wonderful present to the world. I love each and every one of these contestants so much. Katherine Parkinson is a particular treat. Her near continuous breakdowns brought me such joy.
Outtakes and bloopers you heard what we wanted and delivered it for the holidays thank you so much.

@@johneagan5249 I’m English and I heard handbag, listening to it again I can hear both but I think it’s just his accent. For example, I pronounce sandwich like “samwich”, and thinking about it I probably say “hambag” instead of handbag, too
I've never seen everyone absolutely lose it like this, what a great cast
katherine is a sweetheart
One of my favorite things about this show is that it opens my world up to comics I never would have thought about. I live in the U.S. so a lot of comics in Europe I never would have heard about without this show. And there are some that I have recognized before in seasons (Katherine Ryan for example), but this shows me others that I would never have seen without this show. Each season I'm wary at the start and fall in love with all of them by the end. Katherine Parkinson this season, in particular, won my heart. I loved her in I.T. crowd but this made me want to watch all of her other works. Same with the rest of them.
Other UK/irish comedians i suggest you look up are jon Robins, laura lets, dara o’brian, ed burns, susan calman, fern brady, kiri pritchard-mcclean, sindu vee (indian, grew up in phillapines, uni in canada but now based in uk), alan davies, chris mcclausman, larrydean, lost voice guy. They wont all be to your taste nicholas, but gives you a few more youtube searches to find people you like

My favourite series , I think after being cooped up because of covid they are all a bit giddy and bonkers which just makes it even funnier than usual
the fact this was a season with no audience but had some of the funniest moments in the show and the cast laughing so much its such a wholesome season honestly

Mawaan was one of the best contestants for a few series. Mostly because he was hilarious at everything
All the more better that there wasn't any audience, I think. It has the vibe of a bunch of friends hanging out. It's great.

I'm only half way through series 10, and while the tasks haven't been the best, I think it's the funniest series for the banter between the tasks. That's a pretty high bar!
