In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Комедії
alex' ability to stick to the bit is truly something
'A hahaha, Greg.
You think you can defeat me with an awkward moment? My comedy LIVES in the awkward'
* superhero pose *
I loved their verbal game of chicken
You can see the exact moment he regrets saying "song".
I've noticed times where they've cut the banter section and wondered why, and I now know it's because it last 20 minutes
It’s Alex’s show! Greg works for him!
“The rabbit was relevant” 😂 this season is brilliant on so many levels
I could watch Sarah and Greg crack each other up for a solid hour.
Their bts banter was fun to watch
How about a floppy hour?!
"carol's been married before" was such a powerful line. Got me crying.
came here to say this, so perfect
who is she?
@@SwordQuake2 Someone who has been married before.
@@sherryxia8362 She's 54
@@jexiagalletasame as Greg…
"The rabbit was relevant," needs to be in the Taskmaster Book of Quotes.
So does "Carol's been married before"
Alex realised the MOMENT he said, "We have a song as well," what was going to come next 🤣
Serious props to whoever runs this youtube account. Taskmaster is an amazing show that i never would have known about if they didnt post these for everyone to watch
It's the production team for the show.
Mark Watson, and Mark Watson alone, has been tasked to edit and upload once a day for a year. He's already missed several days, but don't tell him that.
@@HOTD108_ when you think about it, he probably doesn't mind it actually
It's all little Alex Horne
what do you mean by every one. I live in canada in stuck on series 12. nothing new for us.....
At 4:13 Dara, in mid-rant, rewinds himself to create a clean version for broadcast. That man is a professional.
I thought the same, you cant help but admire his dedication to the craft
I hadn't noticed that! That's great haha thanks for pointing it out! you can see he's been in the business a while lol and as the host of a different panel show, he's obviously aware of what goes on bts and how the editing team puts their stuff together.
“Safe hands,” as Ed Gamble and Sarah Kendall say in the TM podcast
@@q-tuber7034what do they say that about
@@sunflower9481 what they say is: All kinds of people are invited to be guests on panel shows, and the results can be unpredictable. When a pro like Dara is invited, the producers know the episode will be in “safe hands.” Reliable high-quality entertainment.
I have never seen Alex flat out laugh on camera as much as he has in the few bits I've seen of this new series.
Also his first season cursing, what is going on!
We’ve all been saying the same!
He’s having a power trip. The Taskmaster must not be disciplining him 😅
@@brendanberry7403 when Bridget broke him, there was no reassembling him. 🤣
@@GoodKingMort To the traditional way with him!
I’m dying of laughter at the outtake of Greg trying to guess ‘floppy’ in the live task. I genuinely think all of that was as good as what they aired lol. I’m so glad they got the rest of that on film.
“The Rabbit was relevant” is one of my new favorite TM quotes.
Greg purposely messing up the take when Alex has finally got it right was so cruel and so funny
I wondered why there was no “banter” section this week. Now I see why lmao 💀
they should have included every second of it that's prime tm tv
@@redhedinsanity it was hilarious but they’d have had to cut out the majority of it in order to fit in the rest of the show, and without those long awkward pauses it wouldn’t make any sense
what was the DING DING
Same
@@lils6334 Yeah, you really can't cut a bit like that to make it more snappy and tv friendly, the loooooong drawn out silence IS the bit.
- "Dara, do you promise you kept your flippers on?"
- "Totally! I put on *more* flippers."
I'll admit, I was skeptical he kept his flippers on but after he revealed he ended up wearing 8 of them my doubts were soothed.
8:21 I love watching funny people be shocked by the words coming out of their own mouths. He's like "Ah shit, now I have to come up with a song, why did I say that!?!" lol
15:42 is like a hostage situation but I can’t tell who’s holding who captive.
Alex laughing genuinely brings me joy
8:08 The whole exchange between Alex and Greg is a masterclass in improvised comedy... and the look of appreciation in Dara's eyes afterwards is high praise indeed.
I could watch this over and over it's so good XD
I fucking died laughing. It's so worth it, these outtakes
"The rabbit was relevant"
I died laughing
The whole banter section from 15:43 actually has me crying with laughter
That was great! I kept thinking they would force it to end; I'm so glad they let it play out as long as it did. (The beauty of having a dedicated UA-cam channel for these types of things.)
Oh man tears in my eyes, that was one of the funniest TM bits ever... Think Alex could go all day with his "banter".
Fucking loved it. Watched it twice
So glad we got to see more of the Higher and Lower, it ended so abruptly on the show :(
Should've counted up how many they got right instead of making it an elimination game. Weird how a minor change like that can make such a big difference, nice to see the outtakes at least.
@@JetPuff96 think Alex thought the answer would be obvious, just like the hand on hip task lol
I hope they don't consider it a failure (given that it went badly from a technical POV), because it was hilarious. I would watch a whole show of Higher or Lower.
I was there for the live recording, I was hoping that they’d include the whole thing in the episode but at least they’ve included it here!
You know a show is stellar when the outtake video has more than a million views lol.
😊
16:59 I love that Greg forces Alex to keep going even when Alex is visibly eager for the bit to end, lol! Too funny!
Oh my god Alex's awkward story had me laughing so hard I was literally in pain
The look on Alex's face when he mentioned the song.
It was the look of " I've made a mistake"
greg saying that he's ignoring the rabbit clue then the audience going "oh..." haha
I was crying when that whole thing happened 😂

Doing the Lords work
Wow, all this amazing content from just three episodes
I genuinely don't think I laughed harder than I have at 15:44-20:00. Alex's delivery and Greg just letting him go. I was laughing so hard I might've peed a little.
I was ok until "Carol's been married before".
I haven’t loved a lineup this much since series 7! And Alex is so sassy now, I love it!
Last season was amazing though
@@brendanberry7403 I thought it was largely uneventful if I'm honest. Series 12 also was a bit dull, I even stopped watching halfway through.
High hopes for series 21
@@brendanberry7403 Bridget Christie and Chris and Ardall were brilliant!
New Years Treat - The fastest duck. “Well it is orange” as to why a basketball looked like Claudia Winkleman 😂
It is impossible to stop laughing when Sarah Millican is laughing. She has an amazing pulse on the funniest moments in life.
Greg has been waiting to get in on the "improvise a song with my best mates" routine Alex has going on with Mark and Tim-the glee with which he seized that opportunity!
I haven’t seen the whole series - which other episodes does Alex improvise a song?
@@Canyon_Lark He doesn't do it on Taskmaster, but Alex, Tim Key and Mark Watson have a UA-cam series where they play No More Jockeys together! It's a game they made up and they do a lot of bits. It's good fun :)
To be fair, it's more Key and Watto doing the singing and Horne is just looking more and more exasperated as it goes on. Not that I mind it.
@@Canyon_LarkCarpet snake comes to mind
I agree with others, a Taskmaster extended like QI XL would be amazing! There's so much content that doesn't make it into the final show it's criminal!
Agree
i agree. although, it's a fun bonus to go through all the outtakes after finishing a series, as with the interviews. a nice little treat.
Good point, Outstanding format, think Balloon Wizard ?, Funniest thing Ever.
Nearly 26 minutes of outtakes after only 3 episodes? That bodes well for this series!
I will die thinking about Greg asking of a basketball being hurled at a snare drum, "How can it be lower?!" (in volume than a party blower) and some man in the audience seemingly shouting out in answer, as if it makes perfect sense and needs no further expounding upon, *"Because it's a drum!"*
The guy says “catch it, John!”
Greg likes to pretend he dislikes Little Alex Horne but 8:50 - 9:05 is nothing less than true devotion to a friend.
I think Alex said there was a song as he knows how much Greg loves the improv song & dance stuff they do before recording starts. I suppose that's what he'd always get the kids to do in his drama classes.
Greg is amazing when he is into a full laugh his face goes back and he holds on the the chair or life and looks around its the best laugh sequence i have seen in a while!
Sarah has an infectious laugh.
Aw, I love the extended higher/lower. Greg seemed so happy to get to play, too. 💗
That's the one drawback to being the Taskmaster...you get to be funny, but you rarely get to *play* - and Greg is such a playful man, it's nice to see a bit more of that this season. 😊
The rabbit *was* relevant!
Good observation!
Me: It's only episode three...how can there be 25 minutes of quality outtakes?
Taskmaster: Did you forget we have Dara?
More like that one banter section
08:23 Alex "yes and"-ed too close to the sun there.
10:38 Greg’s POV is just an episode of Sherlock when he cracks the case 😂
When GD said he'll ignore rabbit I said "no" out loud and found the audience did the same!
Is there a specific reference to a rabbit named Floppy or something in British culture? Or is it more along the lines of "Is your (first contestant) toy rabbit (second contestant) hard or...(first contestant)?" being the obvious winning question?
@@mikemack9701 Floppy ears
@@mikemack9701 The word floppy is just often associated with rabbits/bunnies: Floppy ears, to flop over, “flopsy” is a rabbit name etc. It’s a cutesy sounding word and we don’t often use it much elsewhere, except maybe when describing certain dogs.
@@mikemack9701 There's a classic children's book by Beatrix Potter called 'The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies'. My mum and gran always refer to rabbits as 'Flopsy' at some point. :) It's probably less well known now though. Sarah is about my age, and Greg a few years older, so they would definitely have read, or been read, the book when they were little which is why the penny finally dropped for Greg. :)
@@scottlp2323We have Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton -tail from those stories...
Thank GOD they did the rest of those prop sounds, I was so bummed we only got two in the episode.
8:20 Alex IMEDIATELY going 'WHY did I say that? Why did I do this to myself?' 😆
You know what? With Series 14 episode 3 and this compilation releasing on the same night. I think this is the absolute funniest Taskmaster has ever been. Its rare an episode gets me to actually GUFFAW multiple times. Kudos to all!
"I went back to the hen.... they didn't remember who I was..." I almost spit
"the rabbit was relevant"
has to go into the book of taskmaster quotes
I love "in fact I put on more flippers". Gotta love the improv skills. Most entertaining contestants come from Mock (of) the Week. Ed Gamble, Russell Howard, Frankie Boyle, Hugh Dennis etc...
So glad you released the remaining footage of the short-lived noise-making live task. All that set-up, otherwise wasted!
The rabbit being relevant has me crying
John's Secret Task was the most evil this show has ever been and I highly encourage more of it >:)
If you can, try and watch the New Zealand series. Series 2 they really come into their own and they did the sabotage first. Its different and has its own flavour. And its a bit more nasty.
Nastier because Laura is much more conflicted and much more compentent.
@@angryscottishidiot I watch our version purely because I love the TM franchise, but Jeremy isn't a patch on Greg. But then, we are a little more woke over this side of the world...could you imagine if he joked with Paul the way Greg does with Alex? There'd be BSA complaints left right and centre!
I wish both teams were assigned someone to sabotage, then it would have been a more fair fight.
Joe Wilkinson's DQ during the potato throw
5:28: Dara “Wait, what” O’Briain, debuting his catchphrase.
These outtakes just get better and better.
Sarah's so so naturally funny
When I saw her name on the contestants lineup, I was a bit concerned. But shes been brilliant.
The task where Greg had to guess the words based off questions from the teams had me crying laughing lol
Absolutely one of my favorite tasks.
I still want a taskmaster coffee table quote book
I want a book of Mark Watson's texts
Taskmaster has fifteen seasons of genius improv material from some of the most talented comedians of our time, and somehow the funniest moment of the show to me is that photograph of Dara O'Brien with his head apparently up John Kearns's bum. I am genuinely in tears every time I watch it.
This account giving the people what they want, love it!
I love that they continued with the live task even after it ended shorter than expected
"II'll be honest, I didn't think, midway through the task: 'Look, I've got this sorted, I'll have a W-A-A-N-K, I've got some time to kill, I've got the grapes, got the flower...ohh, little wank' "
With flippers on, to quote Sean Lock, "That's a challenging wank!" .
THANK YOU for posting these publicly on youtube. i love this stuff and just makes me 'feel' the whole chemistry behind the cast and show even more!
watching Munya deciding how to phrase the question is so funny, clever kid
Now that this series is over I can finally watch these.........you know.. like a sane person would
Dara miming getting grapes out of the kitchen was eerily similar to his miming "Babe Station" on a Big Fat Quiz a few years back.
i'm really glad they did in fact do all the props at the end of episode 3
I fell in love of Fern while watching season 14. Her accent, facial quirks, and overall cuteness...how could you not?
Love when alex cracks himself up
the audience for the higher/lower sound bit are hilarious. starts off real excited to play then everyone is like ok this is bad. a few people still shouting higher or lower and everyone else wondering where they parked.
I suppose there's a lot of competitive people that have stopped caring once there's no longer points at stake.
Haha! This was wonderful. Thank you.
AND I'm glad we got to see all the noise attempts of the live task - as while it was great how it all played out for the episode, I was a bit disappointed that we hadn't got to see/hear the rest of the items.
This season has been so funny and these outtakes add so much! Also very happy to see more of Alex’s “banter” as that’s always my favourite part of the show ❤
Taskmaster UA-cam, thank you SO much for posting outtakes and please keep them coming! I'm sure you know by now that Taskmaster fans will watch ANY outtakes, bloopers, tiebreakers, etc. and we appreciate each and every one that gets posted :D
This show is comedy gold. More outtakes please!
If they ever decide to release Blu-ray collections of the seasons with extended cuts of every episode... I'd be on them like a fucking hawk. As in, I'd spend all my money on them immediately.
I think you mean you'd be on them like a fucking puma.
Yeah, I think most people would.
Or indeed, like a puma.
that 4ish minutes of "banter" about the hen-doo had me in stitches. best part of the outtakes
"Snip snip, put it goes!"
"It's very rare for the editors to cut this early!"
"Oh! I can hear the editor scissors"
Greg for sure got creative ways to say "I know we won't see this part on TV" xD
What this clearly highlights is that an uncut version of the show - or even just an as-live studio version would be amazing!! keep all this shit in, it's GOLD!!
I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. This is going to be a brilliant series. Keep the outakes and extras coming too
That these outtakes are provided increases my enjoyment of watching Taskmaster (which, admittedly, is already very, very high) by quite a bit
"Who's gotcha-ing who exactly, here?!"
Loving the cast this season
Dara has been great to watch but Fern has been an absolute delight!
Only a few episodes in and we have 26 minutes of outtakes, cannot wait for more, i love this show
8:24 Google translate "Print, laminate, distribute" into Latin and it is exactly the same! Love this show
This was EXCELLENT!!! I LOVE to see the 'Behind the Scenes' bits!
Lololol how Alex can keep beating a dead horse til its glue is hilarious. Greg and him make such a great pair.
I'm so genuinely happy they included the full lower or higher game.
Yeah you just knew TM YT was gonna tidy that one up for us.
I'd watch a whole improv show of Greg and Alex "yes, and"ing each other. One long, insane, rambling conversation.
I suppose that'd just be Taskmaster, though, minus the tasks.
You should do Taskmaster XL with the outtakes added onto the end of each show!
TASKMASTER CHANNEL HITS 1 MILLION!!!!! Congratulations 🎊 👏 💐 🥳
Carol's been married before! 😂
This is well on the way to being my favourite series to date!
This cast had such great chemistry.
I wish the outtakes were in the main show, a Taskmaster extended episode on All 4 like QI XL would be brilliant. I also want to see a video of all seven of them going to Legoland.
Only 3 episodes in and this series is already closing in on 5,7 and 9 as my absolute top tier
It’s a a genuinely awesome lineup! 🙂
Thank you again for the outtakes!
I swear Dara is just a time traveler Ed Gamble who wanted to do TM again. The same anger and absolute will to win and also just play :D
I am SO GLAD they still did all the noises!
Along with series 13. Without a doubt the best
Most funniest series in the show
really satisfies me that they complete the tasks even when the winner is announced too early :')
Love the outtakes :) was nice to see the end of higher or lower as it was over really quickly in the show
I actually did not make *any* connection between rabbit and floppy until Greg said "the rabbit was relevant"
Munya trying to make it PG, Sarah dragging it into the gutter
Thank you for this. More please! Taskmaster XL
its weird seeing dara without hearing the mock the week buzzer
And with the lower half portion of his body.
you mean mock of the week, and also that's the megabus man.
@@kawaiilotus "The" is unnecessary in this case. The show is prominently referred to as the original comment posted.
Agree!
@@bootieos7701 it's a reference to an "If this is the answer then what is the question?" where the answer is 6 and Nish suggests "Is it how many times has my father referred to this show as "Mock of the Week" today?"
