The quietest keyboard is the one that displays the Keys with a laser, so If it displays the Keys on your bed it will be close to unbeatable in being quiet
Ironically it'd be the loudest since you'd be raging so hard about there inaccuracy and slow typing speed. I'd measure it at -Chyrosan22 db

Tip: You could make it quieter by just removing the switches and keycaps

The O-rings are literally OP at noise cancelling. You could skip the spray lubing and foam and just stick some O-rings in the switches and it would be quiet af! :-|

Remember that they also reduce travel and make them feel like you're missing out on the feeling of hitting the bottom...
But they also ruin the feel of the switches
Since these are op for noise cancelling, why not just call them "OP-rings"?

Silent switches look so fine, I'm beginning to think the o rings, key caps and all the ingredients cost more than the actual keyboard, lol

You have to keep in mind that the sound of you touching the keys makes a sound that doesn't happen when you press the keys down, so technically this keyboard is almost 100% silent
7:23 Technically, if you don't screw the PCB down all the way, and it's resting on the silicone, it becomes a DIY gasket mount. It's a feature!

I must agree: it feels like way too much time and effort to assemble a keyboard when you’ve already got all the parts to take 10 hours. While keyboards have a lot of small parts, they’re also incredibly repetitive for the most part.

WD40 as lubricant, especially for plastics, is not a good idea. The solvents in it will disintegrate many plastics over time -- crazing, cracking and discoloring them.
That wasnt the og wd40 though, iirc the yellow cap one is lithium based

Yup. It's a common misconception that WD-40 can be used for stuff like this. WD-40 is, in fact, _not_ a lubricant, and will destroy stuff like this.

Good stuff. I always wanted a key board that only lit up the characters on the keys, not the back ground. Much easier to see, especially in darker settings. Suppose I can just build it.

I finished my first mod and realized that I definitely overlubed all of the switches. Not what I was going for but I like it.
1 star. It needs to be so loud so that when I’m gaming, the only thing my teammates can hear are the sounds of me crushing my keys.
