- In this video, turntablist Fatty Lumpkin visits the Passionate DJ Studio and encounters the Pioneer DDJ-REV1 for the first time. This video made possible by @thedjhookup.
Fatty spent about an hour in total with the entry-level DJ controller from Pioneer DJ. This video is a compilation of over 13 minutes of scratching, sampling, and beat juggling clips.

Fatty Lumpkin -Лучший из лучших. 😌❤️Видно ,что не очень легко на pioneer rev1
❤Fatty Lumpkin😊🤜🤛🍓🥭🍑🍒🥝🤝
Great controller a lot of functionality my only gripe is the buttons are extremely MUSHY!!! 😕
How does the SB3 go up against the rev1
how do you access stems in Djay on the pads??
Heyy anyone know how to turn on or off viybl mode
Any suggestions on cross fader curb settings n such for better cutting and scratching?
I have a Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX and I’m running Catalina version 10.15.7 on my Mac. Can you tell me why the jog wheels are not matching up with the waveforms in Serato DJ light??
Whenever I spin the wheel back, there’s a delay in the software, and when I try scratching, there’s a delay in the software
Mad props !!! What are the instrumentals tracks ?
Scratching sounds terrible on this controller compared to DJ Sara on the cheap Reloop controller.
Is she just a better DJ or is it this controller?
Nope. They are both good. the Reloop is made for scratching.
Thanks for doing this video ! I just got the controller an this gave me some trick ideas ! I get a bit of a delay from my controller to my speakers. Is there a way to fix that ?
Are you using bluetooth speakers... if you are then use a cable to connect to them, bluetooth speakers should never be used for DJing or making beats since they have a big delay, that delay doesn't matter when listening to music but it definitely matters when using DJ equipment or music equipment.
If you're not using bluetooth speakers then maybe you can describe the issue in more detail so people in the comments might be able to help you, hopefully you got it fixed though since you wrote your comment.
How long can the crossfader be abused in such a manner before it starts to bleed? :0
I wish I had a good answer for you! That’s the unfortunate thing about these reviews and demos… most of the time, we can’t speak to longevity and reliability of components.
That said, you can buy a couple of REV1’s for the price of a “good” scratch mixer. So, all a matter of perspective.
Смотрю снова) с удовольствием.
doooooope
These DJ controllers are amazing and took DJing to a whole nother level. But, I still don’t understand why the platters don’t spin while the music is playing?? 🤔
I get the whole technology thing and maybe they don’t need to because of that. But, I still like to see the record spin! Even if it’s not actually a record
They don’t spin because it’s a $279 controller. That’s what the DDJ-REV7 is for :)
@@PassionateDJ
Interesting! 🤔 So, a more expensive unit would have spinning capabilities??
@@OgDj2024 not all of them, but look into the DDJ-REV7, the RANE One, or for Traktor, the Kontrol S4!
@@OgDj2024 yo. Hercules has a lightweight motorized platter controlller coming out in July.
It’s called the T7. I’m gonna get it.
@@Scientists_dont_lie That controller died for me the moment I found out all faders (crossfader and linefaders) were soldered onto the same board. Thats shit.... would have loved to put an innofader inside it. Also its plasticy AF. I guess nobody is giving us a small, lightweight controller with moving platters that does not feel like a toy. I would pay good money for something like that.
I have serato dj pro do I have to buy it again
