This was the first game I got for PlayStation. My reasoning was "Its got 3 games in 1!"

The way they handle character models in this game is breathtaking. The sheer fidelity of the facial sprites is sending me into conniptions
My favorite part of this game is going into first person view during the taxi section and running over the pedestrians. The windshield wipers wiping off the blood was always hilarious!

the one other die hard game, die hard 2 las vegas whatever, I think the driving part worked better
As a 8 year old, Die Hard 2 was beatable, Die Hard was tough, Die Hard 3 was couldn't be beaten
I thought the same until I discovered the instantly turn the car 90 degrees button. The first one is still impossible for me though.
Man they gave Bruce Willis a very generous amount of hair.

The gameplay may not have aged well, but you know what has? The music. Especially in Die Hard 2: the soundtrack is absolutely bangin'.
God, this is one of my favourite PS1 games ever, Die Hard Trilogy was so jank but I loved the Die Harder parts cuz the music was kickass.

It’s easy to laugh now but back then these were top notch graphics. I played the final fantasy remake and then we played the original. She was just like 😞 lol

Man this takes me back!! I LOVED these games and the fact each entry was a different style of game. I recall the graphics got a bit better each time as well. Making us retro Gamers happy!

Hey Matt, you gotta check out Apocalypse, to quote from Wikipedia, "Apocalypse (1998) is a third-person shooter video game released for the PlayStation, developed by Neversoft and published by Activision. It features actor Bruce Willis, who provides the main character's likeness and voice." It was some serious jank, and I think you'd enjoy it a lot.
I feel like the art directors were going for Angela Anaconda like 2 years before it was a thing.
The best part of Die Hard 3 is the in-car view. When you run over people the blood splats on the windshield and the wipers turn on to wipe it off.

Man this brings me back. Played a ton of this game with my friend as a kid. It was one of the few games he owned and once we got through the good ones (Diablo, random demo disc) we started trying to beat this one and man was it a great challenge and a lot of laughs.

I had this for the Sega Saturn. Loved the Die Hard 1 part. Lightgun was useless with the Die Harder part. Vengeance was fun if a little basic.

Honestly the Die Hard 2 segment (arcade lightgun shooter) is still very good and tons of fun if you have a PS1, a lightgun for it, and a CRT television. Stands shoulder-to-shoulder with any Time Crisis or other lightgun shooter on PS1.

Wow I remember being given this game when I was 9 years old after getting to try the DH2 demo. I used to love this game and still have it with all my old PS1 games haha It’s interesting seeing someone play this for the first time in the age that we live in 😂

The Die Hard (1988) part is more like 1989 game on DOS (one of the first TPS's in 16-color EGA glory from Activision and Dynamix) than Die Hard on NES.

Matt, watch With a Vengeance! It's the best one after the OG Die Hard imo. Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis work so well together and there are many cool sequences they get themselves in all over New York, not just in a building or airport!

I bought a ps1 light gun for the Die Harder portion of this game back in the day. I remember it being the best light gun game that I tried. Nostalgia makes fools of us all so who really knows... but I can confidently say playing it with the light gun was exponentially better than with the dpad like shown here.
Ah, this is one of the first videogames I owned, along with Gran Turismo! We got a Lightgun and everything for the Die Hard 2 section, and my mother was weirdly good at it? Like, way better than any of my siblings or my dad.
Very fond memories of playing this, although it's a shame it's almost impossible to play Die Hard 2 with a lightgun on modern technology because it sucked with the cursor aiming

Man, imagine if they had used this engine or whatever the -BLEEP- it is to bake out this Die Hard game to make MGS. We could have had a paper thin Snake running like a crooked neck, constipated guy gunning down equally flat bad guys. Then we could have memorable scenes like watching Sniper Wolf's corpse with JPG head, all 4 sides of it.

I played this game so much as a kid and was terrible at it. I would suggest having another play at it and using the level select cheat and doing the rat level. It is totally bananas and has nothing to do with Die hard. You'll love it !
( Edit: Ignore that, the rat level is in Die Hard Trilogy 2 which you should 100% also play !!! )
Shame you never ran over any civilians in first person. The casual wiping of the pixelated gore off of the windscreen was pretty hilarious. I feel like this was bundled with the playstation in the UK, Everyone i knew had it.For about 7 months this was the only game my friend had, we played the hell out of it despite never getting past the first level or two

I played this game constantly as a kid, and thought these graphics were the future. I thought: "They're... They're not gonna top this. Graphics have reached their limit".
I also never realized the absolute, unabashed, zero fucks this game actually gives.

I remember buying this game back in the day thinking it was going to be similar to the Die Hard Arcade game. Man was I wrong. I don't remember what lies I must have told at the store, but I was able to return it for a refund.
The game seems really fun, I hope the second one can be played with a light gun.
