also palm leafs dont go converting to rope . sails, purifier, and birds nest all require leafs plus some other stuf. only convert rope when ya need it. tip while looking at etc sail click the rope icon to auto convert your palm leaves.
one good tip i can give is build triangle bases for 2 reasons. 1 they cost half as much as the square ones so if the shark eats one, you only lose half the resources and 2 when you have an axe and the shark damages one rather than wasting wood to repair it, just smash it out as you get all the resources back and can just build a new one for free ;)

Yes, definitely build a spear first to ward off the shark from eating your raft!! My biggest tip is -- ALWAYS PUT YOUR STUFF IN THE *MIDDLE* OF THE RAFT !!!! If the shark comes and bites off a piece, you automatically lose whatever was sitting near the edge !!!!!

The only major problem I'm facing is that somewhere aloong the game, like 30min in, I'll warp to the middle of nowhere with no resources, land or anything insight. Everytime I reach an island there will always be this one big bird or something that throws rocks at me .. I know I need a bow but how to I craft ot learn to craft one ?
Yeah and it may be common sense but it stopped me from liking the game the first time I played it. Understand the first part of the game is tedious you just have to power through it. Depending on how lucky/good you are this time can vary but once you get a good foothold you can be feeling pretty good and enjoying the game.
i wouldnt suggest making sharkbaits at all as you can just fight the shark by shoving a spear onto it with proper timing and it will go away for 5 seconds then repeat the process until it dies. you can gather resources in between those 5 seconds.
Instead of distracting the shark with bait, it might be smarter to wait for the shark to bite, and then kill it, giving much more gathering time while its respawning

Thanks. I had no clue how to research items. I kept putting blueprints in the slot, but it wouldn't work. Seems redundant how you have to put the mats in the table and click learn, when you already have the basic things researched. Ark has this same system, only called engrams. It seems alright for pvp, but pve, it should all be unlocked by default. That's just me.
Hi, yeah so collect salt water with your cup then you place the water in the cup over the purifiers fire make sure there are planks below to heat it. I believe the button is E or Rmb to do this and then after a while it will move the water to the other cup on the purifier and you can collect it and drink.
Hello got some info that might help. To build the hammer or spear you need to press I or tab on your keyboard and the crafting menu appears to your left. The hammer needs 4 wood planks and 2 rope meaning 4 palm leaves refined into rope. Spear needs 8 planks and 3 rope in the weapons tab. Hope that helps.

I can’t make half this stuff and I’ve been playing for three hours. for example those walls and crafting nets. We haven’t unlocked the recipe for them we keep getting the same crafting recipe over and over again :(
no there are not any other blue prints, only those 2. For all the rest you make the research table then place EVERYTHING there to research it, like even the stones and you can make nails straight away from the scrap metal. To make walls just use you hammer and if you look you can scroll down to make more items
Can you not just use the bait to lure the shark and kill it. This would lead to longer times before the next shark comes. I accidentally done this w/o bait after killing a shark attacking the raft and had plenty of time to gather resources underwater and take off before seeing the next shark.
Not sure if they ever added a rudder . When our raft got suck side ways we had to ram it back into another object at sea to orient the raft differently. Paddles will help if you ever get stuck against an island but thats about all i can recall.

Build everything outside in triangles so the shark needs 2 bites ;)
