Did you replace the oil filter ? Was wondering cuz mines is stuck , and was wondering if you had any tips on how to get it off ??
I did replace the oil filter. The oil filter came off easy, the same as any oil filter on a vehicle.
I'm learning to take care of a lot of things around my dads house as he is now on Hospice. The first thing I must do is the lawn mower. I had sent my John Deere J46 to the dealer and it came back a mess. I am glad I found your video and will certainly be keeping it for future reference. I just wish you lived in my state so I could have you fix my mower! 🙂 Thank you for sharing this video! I know I really appreciate it 🙂

Hi i’m just asking why my john deere lawn more 8.75 190cc it’s noisy under the blade and it’s smoking to much white smoke?

Mower leaves a lot of grass behind? How do you adjust tension belt? On a Js46?

Take the old grass out of the bottom of the lawn mower, use a plastic scraper (1:00 minute mark of this video) This should help with grass being left behind. (unhook the spark plug before putting your hands around the blade) Thanks for watching.
I wanted to see how to change the oil filter, but i must have missed it.

Great video on servicing the mower my problem is I have to change the oil seal on myjs46 the spot where the blade goes is rusted stuck any ideas on what I could do I’ve tried everything heating it too

Keep spraying it with a 50/50 mix of acetone and transmission fluid for a week or two then try again. Don't get this mix on rubber or paint.
