Was looking for a super easy and fuss-free chocolate pie so thank you! Your eyes are like precious jewels and I've seen eyes like yours before. They're incredibly beautiful ✨💫.
Made this with a cheesecake base (180g crushed digestive biscuits, 90g butter melted) and it worked well. Very rich, taste wise it is basically like eating a chocolate bar. I used dark chocolate, I wonder if milk chocolate would have been less rich. Thanks for the recipe as always David. Edit: Milk chocolate was less rich/intense and tastier!
Wow! This recipe is a keeper, my husband loves Chocolate pie and I found a recipe one time to make for the holidays, but leave it to me, I didn't boil the chocolate long enough or something and the pie never set, no matter how long I kept it in the fridge. I'm trying this one though. Looks so good and easy!
@cronullasharks13 Some countries call Thickened Cream "Double Cream" - that's why I said it. I was trying to make it easier for those outside of Australia ;)
Just want to say thankyou !!!!! My daughter had to make a pudding at school using only one pan and half a hour to do it in , this was perfect and got high marks for it . It has become a family favorite in our house xxx
every once and a while I come back and watch through these vids for a massive nostalgia hit. I would watch all your videos as a kid even though i had no clue how to cook 💀
@rachiibuu You'll find the frozen pie crusts in the freezer section of the supermarket (with puff pastry etc) but you can sometimes pre-baked (non-frozen) ones from the bakery section ;)
@TheJaask98 "Thickened Cream" in Australia is a thick cream with a small amount of gelatin added during production to maintain thickness and to aid in whipping. Heavy Cream will work just as well ;)
@PuzzleChocolate Try the freezer section of your local supermarket (near the puff pastry etc) otherwise you can make some shortcrust pastry from scratch (plenty of recipes around on the internet) and use that instead ;)
@cozzyk Thanks Coz, actually the questions haven't been to bad this time around. I was expecting an avalanche of cream questions, but everyone seems to get it today :)
@smcs If you want to make a no-bake blueberry cheesecake, simply follow my "Lemon Cheesecake" video recipe exactly. Then add the blueberries to the mix when you add in the lemon juice (the lemon juice is needed to make the cheesecake set)
Yummy 😋 and so easy I used white chocolate and dark chocolate and peanut butter chips 😂 and a few milk chocolate. I was using left over bars and yummy.
@macandben It would be hard to cut and eat if it was just a solid piece of chocolate, but if you want that, simply omit the cream and melt the chocolate. Pour it into the pie crust and chill until solid ;)
The way you popped up at the beginning scared me but I love this idea
same
lmao
He scared me too. Like a psycho chef or something 😂

@TheGurlfriend1234 I don't remember which brand I used, but any brand of "eating" chocolate will be fine ;)

@EckoOwnage You can use ANY kind of chocolate in this recipe. Even your favorite block of eating chocolate ;)
@perixanfin I don't know the Swedish name, but you can use any cream that is suitable for whipping ;)
1) I bought the pie crust at Coles. 2) There is an ingredient list are in the video description under the video. Happy Baking ;)

Thanks for the video, I am not very good at desserts but, you make it look so easy. I will definitely be trying this out.
Use the pastry recipe in my "Custard Tart" video. You'll find it in the "Desserts" playlist on my channel page ;)
@Brattygirl01 As long as the cream is suitable for whipping - there shouldn't be a problem ;)
@romanticprincess8888 Absolutely - I just used the frozen pie crust as a quick cheaters version ;)
@nana0701 No, cream is not the same as condensed milk.
USA Heavy Whipping Cream
Thank you!!
I figured that's what it was. 😂
Thank you! Was still like…. Ummmmm??
@ArgoSG I said "ganache" - which is the correct name for it ;)
every once and a while I come back and watch through these vids for a massive nostalgia hit. I would watch all your videos as a kid even though i had no clue how to cook 💀
@sabrinocchiuccia Yes - bake the pie crust first ;)
@Makron5 Use any thick, unsweetened cream ;)
@janu67 I don't think whipped cream would be too much. Besides, someone else suggested butterscotch sauce on top!
Is heavy whipping cream close to that thickened cream?
@gmaureen I hope you enjoy it - it's simple and delicious :)
@lightweight69 You're welcome mate - Let me know how it goes ;)
@adgeee000 You're welcome - I hope you enjoy it :)

Have a great summer as we are preparing for winter here.
@Knvtran Yes - pre-baked pie crusts work just as well. I used frozen as the supermarket was sold out of pre-baked crusts at the time :)
@Ffojt It has a fairly strong chocolate flavour, but using milk chocolate might help to tone it down a bit ;)
Omg I love your voice. Its so relaxing, makes me be in a very good mood. You have that steward voice announcing the security speech lol
@macandben You need to use cream to get the smooth consistency ;)
@rachiibuu You'll find the frozen pie crusts in the freezer section of the supermarket (with puff pastry etc) but you can sometimes pre-baked (non-frozen) ones from the bakery section ;)

@AudrisL Yes, that's what I said to do in the video ;)
@sentfromupabove I used semi-sweet melting chocolate. It's fairly sweet already, so you don't need to add any additional sugar ;)
@amund94 Let me know how it turns out ;)
OMG this is a ganache pie! I want to move back to the UK anyway and double cream is another reason to put on my Pros list!

@SunnyLove120 Actually, it's more of a ganache ;)
@macandben It would be hard to cut and eat if it was just a solid piece of chocolate, but if you want that, simply omit the cream and melt the chocolate. Pour it into the pie crust and chill until solid ;)

Genius. You described it perfectly, can't wait to try it.
Thanks for sharing!
That is simple..thanks for sharing that
can i use sweetend condensed milk instead of cream ? :)
I am going to try it this week. I usually use the butter milk and sugar nestle chocolate baking chips and flour and eggs.
As stated in the video, bake the pie crust following the packet directions ;)
@Lillian0813 Adding a dash of bourbon, brandy or Kahlua would be great if you are making this for adults ;)
No need to download them, they are always available here on UA-cam ;)
@muzimitsu Thank you ;)
Mmm sheer wickedness in a pie crust!
I think it was Pampas, but there are several brands available ;)
New subscriber here. Just made this delicious pie. Looking forward to trying out your other recipes. Thank you from the French Alpes.
