      The 215 and 255 have superchargers that spin too high when the jet sucks air during a jump.
      Then the supercharger destroys itself and the motor.
      All of the non 155hp have blown motors at 150 hrs or less

    I have an older twin engine version. Closest thing a boat can get to an F-16. The grab handles are not there for looks. Can turn harder than a Porsche. Selling them had to be as easy as a ten minute test drive, you smile, you buy it.

    Just got one this summer. 96 720cc twin engine 2 stroke speedster. Been using it a lot. I've had so many people tell me already that they have been on so many different kinds of boats, but this is by far the most fun!!! Boat isnt 100% yet. still getting minor cavitation. Still trying to figure out what can be the cause. Replaced wear rings, impellers look like like new, carbon rings look good, Compression is 145 PSI. I Still don't know whats up. Well its at least 85%, good enough I guess. It gets on plane good enough.

    Seadoo stopped making jet boats in 2012 (I wonder why? I suspect that it was because they're notoriously unreliable and hard to work on). In 2012, I had a '96 Seadoo Speedster 150 (two 717 cc 2-stroke inboards, each w/ its own jet drive). In 2014, I had a, '06 Seadoo 14' Sportster 4-Tec supercharged). When they were up & running, they were a blast! But a very rough, pounding ride in a small chop. I eventually sold each one after I couldn't keep them running and couldn't find shops that were willing to work on them.

      Seadoo's have a rotax bombardier engines. These are engines made in Austria by the best jet propulsion company in the world. If thats not good enough, I don't know that is. I've had mine since April. Have taken it out 12 times already. I wasn't getting any issues but I just do some preventative maintenance like recharge the batteries, and clean the spark plugs after a few times out. I had to replace the wear ring and get a new Dess key post but its a 1996 for god sakes. Both were very easy to do myself.

      Superchargers rev too high when they get air during a jump, and it kills the super charger and the motor

    Jumps like that create cracks in the floor at the base of the seat and in the transom.
    Plus the super charger spins too high when inlet grate is out of the water, and gets destroyed and kills the motor at the same time. 3/4's of them have new motors before 150 hours.
    I have one with a 155 hp, a little underpowered for some perhaps but the motor should last 1,000 hours np.

      Without meaning to appear as if I am defending them in offshore racing this is why you have a separate throttle man (operator) to pull back the throttles when the vessel leaps out of the water. Simmerally when jumping a vessel like this the skilled driver pulls back the throttle(s) to prevent unloaded runaway. I would love to find a #200 but they are scarce. Thanks for your comment.

    • @superbmediacontentcreator
      @superbmediacontentcreator  4 місяці тому

      I do not understand people who have technology and do not use it. If you go to Google Maps and look up the area there are only two inlets to the ocean. As far as the jet skis and jet boats they like the constricted inlet to wave jump like this video. As a "big Boat" driver I have no problem with this as long as they follow the rules of the road as the SeaDoo did.

    Those boats are terrible for the ocean, they are meant for rivers. The button of the boat is flat, it does not cut the waves, so you will be jumping all the time unless the ocean is totally flat.
