The thing is, physical abuse comes alongside emotional abuse. When someone had PTSD from physical abuse, watching someone get emotionally abused can trigger their PTSD and cause them to be re-traumatized. Especially when they are just getting out of that situation, and things are all so stressful and scary.
To me, someone who's been emotionally and physically abused. It's this kind of stuff that makes healing or even coming forward about it harder. I love how her supposed “marketing team” told her to keep throwing lies out there. If you create one lie, you have to stick to it. If you switch your story up too quick, whoever you’re lying to is gonna start to catch on. And then you end up creating multiple lies, and none of them make sense. You gotta keep up that lie until you’re 100% caught. And then after that, people are going to stop believing you. Which is why it’s better to just tell the truth.
I experienced emotional abuse at the hands of one of my ex's, it was brutal to deal with and it really messed me up when it happened. She would get drunk and completely dissociate from reality. It was really scary for me as well as she had a criminal record for stabbing one of her exes in his sleep. I kept trying to leave her place but I just couldn't for some reason, she would talk about us being "done" if I left, or that she would take her own life. She'd be pretending to send provocative photos in front of me and then withhold affection. I didn't even understand it at the time and just thought everything she was saying to me was right and that I was the bad guy. It was only after I actually talked about everything with my friends that they told me I was being manipulated and abused This is the kind of mental mind fuck this stuff does to people, and its goddamn serious, like more than so many who have never even had a taste of it realize the mental prison it puts you in. To see people faking it for clout makes me feel so enraged and disappointed at the same time.
The fact that I can genuinely imagine someone digging up their dead grandmother for devious licks for clout just proves how terrible this clout-chasing disease is.
As a victim of actual abuse, this is why so many victims aren’t believed nowadays. It’s sick. Honestly it should be illegal to fake this, it’s so disgusting

My friend was a victim of abuse. What it did to her can never truly be undone. She can learn to live with the trauma but it will always haunt her. To anyone in an abusive situation I hope things get better. The trauma is not something you just get over but you can live with it. There is hope for you. Stay strong.

Instead of one, singular viral video, every single one of his videos are viral, or at least somewhat popular, as he is able to capitalise on the popularity of said videos he reacts to, and because it is an easy way to continue pumping out regular content, his viewership only continues to rise. The only thing I would criticise is that I think it is less of Charlie painting himself out to be a saint and more just pushing those clout chasers down, because that is what gives him views. Also, Charlie does not really ever put himself in a morally grey situation, unlike aforementioned clout chasers.
As someone who legitimately got berated for eating a muffin at 21 yrs old while six months pregnant with my ex as a core memory, this is just horrible lol that particular one was such a bad day at work and I was dreading going back home to him after, the fact that she chose a muffin is giving me flashbacks. I agree, this is something people should never lie about. It sucks you can't even trust friends about this sort of thing anymore, I've had 2 close friendships end because she claimed the BF was abusing her when that never happened, and it just creates an environment where you don't know who to trust and makes you look like a total fool if you believe them. My sister's boyfriend was abused and sexually assaulted while he was sleeping, I was emotionally/physically abused by past friends and family members my entire life, every time I say something relatable about household issues they look at me like I'm crazy, and ask if I need help, But faking it to this extent for a dumb tiktok that is 15.3 seconds long is something so weird and disgusting I wouldn't want to be in a 5-mile radius of them.

I've been through emotional and mental abuse from my own family when I was younger, constantly getting hit hard for not understanding something that was simple in their eyes (I have Autism, and learn much slower then many people.) Even during High School, during my Junior and Senior Year, my parents were STILL doing that to me, to the point my mother would threaten me. Where I am now, I have been depressed, and have wanted numerous times, to just be gone, because of how bad I've been degraded, and run over. To say "It was all scripted", is beyond disgusting. Abuse is not something to fake, or take lightly. It's a SERIOUS ISSUE. (To anyone that has been abused, I want to sincerely say, I hope and pray your doing okay. I pray to each and every person, who has been through something similar, that you are safe, and protected)

It’s making my blood boil that as my mother is actively cutting off my support networks she’s getting such success off of this bullshit. The thing is, physical abuse comes alongside emotional abuse. When someone had PTSD from physical abuse, watching someone get emotionally abused can trigger their PTSD and cause them to be re-traumatized. Especially when they are just getting out of that situation, and things are all so stressful and scary.

I experienced emotional abuse at the hands of one of my ex's, it was brutal to deal with and it really messed me up when it happened. She would get drunk and completely dissociate from reality. It was really scary for me as well as she had a criminal record for stabbing one of her exes in his sleep. I kept trying to leave her place but I just couldn't for some reason, she would talk about us being "done" if I left, or that she would take her own life. She'd be pretending to send provocative photos in front of me and then withhold affection. I didn't even understand it at the time and just thought everything she was saying to me was right and that I was the bad guy. It was only after I actually talked about everything with my friends that they told me I was being manipulated and abused

I've been through emotional and mental abuse from my own family when I was younger, constantly getting hit hard for not understanding something that was simple in their eyes (I have Autism, and learn much slower then many people.) Even during High School, during my Junior and Senior Year, my parents were STILL doing that to me, to the point my mother would threaten me. Where I am now, I have been depressed, and have wanted numerous times, to just be gone, because of how bad I've been degraded, and run over. To say "It was all scripted", is beyond disgusting. Abuse is not something to fake, or take lightly. It's a SERIOUS ISSUE.
(To anyone that has been abused, I want to sincerely say, I hope and pray your doing okay. I pray to each and every person, who has been through something similar, that you are safe, and protected)

It’s making my blood boil that as my mother is actively cutting off my support networks she’s getting such success off of this bullshit. This is what I want so badly for, for people to see my situation and empathize, to tell me I’m not crazy, but it feels just about impossible to prove a single thing when I don’t even trust my own memory because of her and she’s so good at manipulation when I try reaching out for help she makes me seem like just a pissed off teenager who’s acting up, who’s crazy and out to get her. But this girl, she got it so easily. All it took was some 3rd grade level bullying to get all eyes on her. My mom has threatened to push me out a window before if I didn’t stop talking back and to this day I don’t know if she would have done it or not. Never found out because she terrifies me so much I shut the hell up.
