- Foreign Secretary Lord Cameron has told Sky News that he is urging Israel not to further escalate tensions in the region after an attack by Iran.
On Saturday night, Iran launched a massive aerial assault on Israel, saying it was in retaliation to an airstrike on its embassy in Syria at the start of the month.
The attack was a "double defeat" and "total failure" for Iran, Lord Cameron said, and he hoped that there would not be a retaliatory military response from Israel.

It's simple. Iran retaliated. After Israel killed 14 citizens and bombed Iranian soil. The uk and West knew the attack was coming and was informed, and they largely accepted that even isreal. This is international law. It's 1/1 now. Both sides made their point. There is no need to retaliate. Is isreal attacks again, and this will mean escalation.

With a 4 hour notice given before the commencement of the attack, it was meant as a warning response to the bombing of the Consulate, which has yet to be condemned, in a third party country.

Irans attack was not a failure, they literally called ahead of time in order to give America and Israel time to shoot down the drones. The way Cameron keeps overusing the word failure seems to me that it was the opposite.

Iran didn't attack Israël, it reacted to an Israëlian attack on their embassy. Iran did hit what they wanted. Iran said on beforehand what and when they would do. They only hit to show what they're capable of. The Iron Dome totally failed. When Israël bombs the Iranian ebassy, Cameron says it's frustration from Israël. Countries hav a right to react, but Iran can't? Than he goes on to say there could have been thousands of cusualties amongst civilians. But their weren't any because they did not target civilians. And Cameron off course doesn't take the tens of thousands of civilian casualties from Palestine. Does this guy believe a word he says?
