- Gideon Falter, the campaigner at the centre of controversy surrounding a pro-Palestinian protest in London, says any Jewish person should be able to "go for a walk in the vicinity of marches".
He spoke to Sky's Kay Burley after footage showed a police officer preventing him from crossing a road near the march because he was "openly Jewish".
Ben Jamal, director of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign, says Mr Falter came to the march "with an entourage and film crew" to deliberately provoke a reaction, and say that he was unsafe.

I’ve been on some of the London marches, I am not a religious person, just wish everyone could be peaceful. I noticed quite a few Jewish people walking very peacefully with everyone else. This man (Gideon) is the kind of person, that is the reason we can never have peace.
He wasn't at the synagogue. He was wandering around being deliberately offensive and provocative with his cameraman, bodyguard, and crew for at least two hours.
He crossed the street twice, and would have continued crossing the road until he provoked somebody.
Why the hell do these protesters have to take over London!!!
To travel around the West Bank, Palestinians go through multiple checkpoints, have Israeli soldiers shoving guns in their faces, need multiple passes and are only allowed to travel on certain roads. Perhaps we should introduce such a regime for Gideon Falter.

On every ceasefire/pro-Palestinian march I’ve been on, if people wanted to cross, we stopped and gave them space to do so, usually with a smile.

However, in England, it’s considered rude to try to walk on a bit of pavement that already has someone else’s feet on it.
