The Military/Space line-up from Lionel was pretty neat. Lots of action and play value. I don't have any, but a good friend has virtually all of them. An excellent video, as always.

@@raysrails2164 The horse and 2 ponies are doing great. My daughter and I loaded them up this morning and took them to the farrier to have their feet trimmed. Hopefully They get through the snowy part of winter before I need them trimmed again.
A nice addition to the layout. The 3414 Mercury Capsule Launching Car is a neat addition for one of the space/military cars. I know what you mean regarding the quality of pieces out there. Sometimes it is a hit or miss getting something really good. It does depend on what you may want. Interesting you mentioned the submarine cars. I got lucky and found really great pieces of both the 3830 and 6830 thatstill had the periscopes. Only the subs needed a good cleaning. Otherwise they look almost like new.

I was a great suprise to find the parachute tucked inside the rocket body .

Nice addition, but it doesn't look like it will clear your tunnel.
The tall red part is the launching mechanism and retract s down.
3419 nice car i have a few of them even one just for the rocket launching mechanism like on my g-force video
