      How good were you before if you don't mind me asking? I used to play and even recorded with punk bands back in my early 20s and Teens and now just trying to get back into guitar. I was never able to solo but I really want learn to play good metal leads. I'm looking for suggestions for UA-cam lessons for someone like me to start off with

      I would use this channel, but start with the easier/ beginner videos. I also recommend looking out for excercises, which u can do every day. Another point is music theorie, i would deffenetly recommend learning it. It sucks, but u will understand, what u are playing@@nv.d.2587

      I totally agree with you. This will take many times to practice. This will lead to become a petron member. Start saving some money for this great guitar journey. I can't believe I've reached this far.

      @@xaphan8581 yeah once he starts saying okay in this position we just choose third flat fifth sharp 7th diminished and I started get lost as onto why because I obviously have a flimsy understanding of chord progression and how scales fit into them

    I’ve been self taught for a year, and I was beginning to sputter….not adding songs or riffs to my repertoire that I could play well…same mistakes/limitations….THIS VIDEO is bringing me out of that fast.     I been playing for 2 and a half years (self thought)now and i improved so much but up till now didnt get very much into soloing but u inspired me and i will dedicate my time to become better at soloing and understanding muisic in 2023.

    Hey man. I'm loving these videos. Tbh, they're very helpful for me. I had played guitar for 16 years and then took a 7 year break. I'm finally getting back into it because I really miss writing music but holy cow. I am ridiculously rusty and it's super frustrating. But that's why I appreciate the videos because they're helping me get back into it and speeding up the process so thanks a lot for that and I'll definitely be checking out your Patreon!

    I always play A min. Pentatonic. Then build around it for either 7 notes or 8. Depending on the measure (verse, chorus, bridge) the chords can be the scale notes, or not made with the scale notes. The 8th note I select is usually a tritone for a faster run.

    I like tapping with pentatonic notes as well. It sounds very different and people think I know a lot more than I actually do LOL. All I know the pentatonic positions and the eruption tapping pattern

You are the best the way you teach and explain the aspects of real playing,phrasing and the stretches between the notes is awesome. Im all in on your lessons im sure itll help me shred even better.     dude, I just stumbled upon this video and I think you are awesome. I'm 30 years old and I've just decided to finally satisfy an itch i'm dragging since my teens: learning to play metal. I am actually building my own electric guitar and now I'd like to take some lessons, is your patreon suitable for a "beginner"? (I've played acoustic guitar for ages, but my knowledge of metal is next to zero and my knowledge of musical theory is below zero, I can read tabs and that's all).

    At 3:00 (three note per string approach) I can play the lick sitting down. Although standing up, it’s better to tap the (pinky notes) with my right hand. (If I’m jamming 7 string (main guitar) it’s only way i can play 3 finger stretch lick. My fingers are average limited. I have to rearrange notes playable, when learning someone’s solo. This helps lot, but doesn’t work every time I try make easier.

    These comments almost sound like paid professionals wrote them instead of the average, run of the mill, UA-cam viewers lol😉! These comments lack that certain semi-literate “charm” and oftentimes outright terrible grammar that’s so commonplace in UA-cam comments lol. Regardless, the content offered on this guys channel is awesome! The guy has a knack for communicating this stuff which makes it that much easier to absorb! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their chops!
