Hi everyone! So sorry but I made a mistake in the video! The Front Panel section ends with row 14 and the Back Panel should have 32 rows! The total rows number is correct. You can find the pattern on the blog - forthefrills.com/chunky-textured-button-cardigan-free-crochet-pattern Happy crocheting, Grace :)
So the pattern online has the correct number of rows and everything? I just thought I finished the body using the pattern but I’m noticing my rows and even the final number of stitches are off. I’m gonna have to redo it but I wanted to make sure I’m getting it right.
Hi Gracie !! This cardigan looks lovely, purple is a nice color on you 💟 I hope it doesn’t get you down, but it made me really sad to see dislikes on this video. They really don’t understand the talent, effort and patience it takes to create an original design, complete it, nor do they know the kindness to share their hard work with others, FOR FREE. Please know that there are so many people, myself included, that so greatly appreciate that you make this accessible to us. I love your designs, and teaching, it would be so sad if you stopped. Don’t let the haters stop you from doing what you love!! And thank you for sharing your pattern and giving us a tutorial. 🥰♥️
I like how you are making the body in one piece and how you do your rubbing at the same time. I have never crochet anything in bulky yarn in all my 35 plus years of crocheting
Thank you so much for this video! I just made it for the upcoming winter season in a burgundy color and everyone tells me it looks so professional - of course it's all thanks to your pattern and demo :) this was my second successful piece of real clothing (other than scarves and hats I mean) so I really appreciate that you make your designs so accessible.
It’s a beautiful chunky cardigan & very easy to follow as well. Thank you for sharing your pattern, I very much appreciate your step by step instructions!!!😉💐🤗
This is the best pattern for a cardigan on You Tube. Absolutely lovely. Would love to see more exciting stitches like this video for other garments. Love everything about this cardigan. Excited to see your next video🥰💋💋
I love this pattern! I’ve made several for customers! Very popular 😊 Thank you for all your awesome patterns! You are very talented & your tutorials are so clear & easy to follow ❤
You are so talented and so generous. This is gorgeous. LOVE the stitch pattern!! (So need to play with a pullover with this stitch as well.) Thank you so much!
That’s amazing Christie, Could you please tell which yarn you use normally to make this? Since biggo is discontinued, I was thinking of using Lion brand scarfie..
So excited to create! I always appreciate video with written pattern and the photos should make it real simple. I got premier anti pilling bamboo chunky in the color blueberry pie! I had to go buy a hook cause I usually don’t do size 9 hook and I ended up with same hook as yours. Now to finish reading g pattern before getting started!
أشكرك جداً على الشرح رائع وسهل وبسيط البلوق أكثر من رائع شكراًThank you very much for the explanation wonderful and easy and simple Blog more than wonderful thank you
This cardigan is so popular right now. Ive seen it everywhere in retail stores. Can you do more but with different patterns?? Thank you for doing this!
Love this. Great job. 👍🏼 Finally I’ve found a beautiful V neck cropped crochet cardigan that I like the look of and would wear myself. These type of cardigans are perfect for this time of year autumn/winter. I like a cropped cardigan so I can wear as is, or with a jacket over the top when it’s very cold. Now I will have to buy some yarn in the same weight then get it on the hook. Thank you 😊🧶
Hello, thank you for such a lovely pattern, I absolutely enjoy making it. However I'm having an issue with the row count. I'm making size M and according to your guide the front panel has 24 rows (8 + 16 until the sleeve opening). The back panel only has 34 which is only slightly wider than the front panel. According to my logic, the back panel should have at least twice as many rows as the front panel in order for the two front panels to not overlap each other...right? I'm really lost here, please help 😲😲
Beautiful pattern Gracie! Since biggo is discontinued, I was thinking of making this in Lion brand scarfie. But I see that they recommend a 6.5 mm hook. I’m not sure if it’ll give the same look. Can you please advise?
You can try 2 strands of weight #3 (dk) or #4 (worsted) to achieve this. Just one strand of4 weight might not give the same definition. Even a strand of #3 and a strand of #4 would work.
Wow, this is so beautiful and I have some chunky yarn to male it with! Just one question, how many grams did you use for the small pattern? Thank you so much!
If I want to use fine cotton yarn that recommends a size 3 hook, what would you recommend I do to still make the same size small you did with chunky yarn. Should I follow the medium or large size in the pattern?
Hi! I am doing this pattern right now. Sorry that I don't know the suggested hook for the yarn I'm using but I am using a hook number 10! And it's supposed to be an M size but I ended up needing more stitches, at least 8 more than suggested. Unfortunately I had to learn this the hard way.
@@ozlema.d.5281 Sorry to butt in but quoting hook sizes in anything but millimetres (mm) drives me crazy. What's wrong with using INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED measurement? All the hooks I have are labelled in mm - 4.0mm, 6.5mm, etc. No sign of any ""number 10" or "size 3 hook" or "M size". What in blazes possesses people to start using something other than a STANDARD which never changes anywhere in the world, and is recognized in EVERY language EVERYWHERE?
I am making this cardigan for my daughter. I notice that you say to crochet "front loop hdc and then back loop hdc" until right before the increases end, and then you switch to saying crochet "back loop hdc and then front loop HDC" after that. Is this deliberate? It's a gorgeous design and I am eager to complete it.

Hi this cardigan is so cute! I’m wondering if it will turn out okay if I use a #4 medium yarn and a k/6.5 mm hook? Thanks!

The rows count isn't right to me.... You stared the back panel at row 15?
Amei! 💖
