I just made it! It took me many hours and many months due to how busy I was - but I did a little each time I had time. I absolutely love the way that it turned out! Thank you so much - it looks so professional and even if it was a simple design with only 2 different types of stitch (which I already knew) all of your instructions were clear and the footage of how to make the buttons and button holes were also super clear and easy to follow (unlike some other tutorials where they cut out how they do certain things or miss out certain instructions eg. how many stitches across a row). I love all of your work and I am now starting on my next project!
One more of Carrie's creations which will find a home in my wardrobe. I've lost count of how many of your designs I've made so far - Love your creations!! Always simple but yet stylish and fun!
Just wanted to thank you for this pattern, I've used double knit and a size 4.5mm crochet hook. Mine came out beautifully and really need to thank you for your time and effort you have put in your video 🙂
This cardigan is beautiful! I decided to make one for myself as well using the yarn I have. It is much thicker than the yarn mentioned in the blog post. So I'm trying to follow the measurements instead of the chains used, to make the cardigan. The vertical measurements of the panels were provided in the blog post but horizontal widths were not. So I'd love to know the widths of each panel of the cardigan. (I'm making a small size as well so the measurements you used will be okay) Love your work 💕
its the exact same for me! i think what ill do is make each panels width a bit smaller so maybe a few less rows. did you figure it out in the end anyways?
This is amazing! I love the construction of it and the buttons are really original! thank you Carrie for this tutorial, I learned a lot from it and can't wait to make one!
Wow! This is beautiful. Thank you for this tutorial. I've been wanting to crochet a cardigan with this type of pattern and I'm so glad I found yours. I need to go yarn shopping this weekend so I can make this beautiful cardigan to wear for Easter Sunday. Woohoo!
Such a beautiful cropped cardigan!!! I really need to brush up and learn some more crochet so I could make this! Your voice is so soothing as well... watching this before bedtime, and I'm certain I'll have a restful sleep 😴❤👍
Very easy pattern after searching for many pattern. This is the best pattern i have seen so far.I will try and start crochet like this pattern and lets see how it turn out.Really well axplained as well. Thanks a lot Carrie.
i just started crocheting about 2 weeks ago and I am so glad I’ve found your channel. I already made one of your toque and so happy with the result. Your videos are very well explained and beginner friendly, plus all your creations are so pretty. looking forward in making this one ❤️❤️❤️.
Hi Carrie! I just want to start off by saying I followed this pattern and added my own tweeks to it but I really love this pattern! The cardigan is beautiful and very neat! Thank you so much for this!! ❤
I was looking for a sweater pattern. I've never crocheted myself a sweater. It's very cute, but really love the buttons. Thank you for the tutorial. (I also subscribed to your web page).
I made this sweater using Carson Simply Soft in color Auburn Red in a size sm. It was an easy tutorial to follow. Took me about 8 days working on and off to complete it. Thinking about making it in different colors.
Hey Carrie! This cardigan is beautiful! It's perfect for my sister, I can't wait to make it for her and the color is one of her favorites... thank you for this perfect pattern and take care.
Thank You so much, Carrie, much love from India. Your tutorial was super fun to follow and easy. I enjoyed the entire crochet journey with you. My Grandma loved the sweater.
I love your patterns so much! This will be the third one I’ve followed so far. I needed a nice simple cardigan of some kind for a bunch of strawberries I crocheted and this is absolutely perfect!
I'm making this cardigan for my Confirmation, and it is really gorgeous, and it's becoming perfect. And why does all of the items on our channel needs to be so pretty i wanna crochet all of them. Keep up the good work 🌸
❤❤❤ this pattern! Made for my DIL but used velvet yarn which isn’t machine washer friendly 😣 Your tutorial written pattern is fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
I absolutely love this cardigan. The yarn and vertical style stitches are lovely. Would you be able to create a tutorial using the blo HDC stitch but for a sweater? Thank you Carrie. I love all your tutorials ❤️
This looks beautiful! And you make your tutorials easy to follow. Thank you. Could please suggest a substitute, just checked this yarn is not available here in SAfrica.
Hi, Carrie! Is it okay to use 100% cotton yarn for this project? I'm a bit worried that it won't look good 😓 I love your tutorials, by the way! This is my 2nd project following your tutorial. Hehe
Very nice. I'm on your website right now pinning some patterns. I have enough yarn for a short sleeve poncho maybe but really I'm looking for a sweater vest, short sleeve poncho or something I can do with 5 or 6 balls of Coboo yarn. Got 6 balls in white (2 more of a different dye lot but it's white) and 5 balls of mauve. Was planning on making shirts of some kind.
When you say "long tail", how long should the tail be? About the length of the piece I'm sewing? A little longer? Maybe twice the length? Or does it depend what stitch I'm using to seam together?
She says use a yarn needle if I heard her right. So you would use your long tail end, loop it through a yarn needle, and sew the pieces together. You would probably want to do it inside out, so the pretty side is the one facing out. Hope this helps!
hi carrie i've made the back panel twice but each time the upper end isnt a straight line and it goes slanted instead and i've made sure im not skipping any stitches
Is the backpanel on the back bulky on the sleves? Love your pattern and are still working on the backpannel, but it seems very wide on the back. When i am buying me a cardigan like this, i am a small. Thank you💕
I’m so excited to make this cardigan… I’m still new to crochet and this will be my second cardigan. I’m hoping this is ok to ask but what would your recommendations be for changing colour to create stripes? As this is crocheted I’m the BLO would you change colour every 2 rows? Thank you in advance and again thank you for help ☺️
Hey! Your cardigan looks great and I'm on my way to make it myself! I have a question though. Do you think if I make a cardigan just like yours, will I run out of wool and will need to have to buy more of the same colour and join them, or do you think one skein will be enough? It would be really great if my questions were cleared! Thnks!

Just wanted to thank you for this pattern, I've used double knit and a size 4.5mm crochet hook. Mine came out beautifully and really need to thank you for your time and effort you have put in your video 🙂
Just wanted to ask... did you have to adjust your starting chain for length please?
I love pastels in the winter. They may even the most grey, dreary day more cheerful! Thanks Carrie!

I've been trying to figure out the same thing! I'm using thinner yarn and double crochet with hdc ribbing.
its the exact same for me! i think what ill do is make each panels width a bit smaller so maybe a few less rows. did you figure it out in the end anyways?
@@laylaherzallah6338 I ended up frogging it and starting something else 😅 I think I'll try the pattern again with different yarn sometime soon!

Very fun cardigan to make, but sadly it turned out way too big.. will make again with other measurements 😁

Hii! Great tutorial! Just wanted to know if you have sizing patterns for XS? I've checked your blog but didn't see it there.
Thanks
When you say "long tail", how long should the tail be? About the length of the piece I'm sewing? A little longer? Maybe twice the length? Or does it depend what stitch I'm using to seam together?
Nice suitel 💜
Love this ! I made it in a size medium and idk why but my sleeves are huge!!! 😔😔😔😔
Hi Carrie, I’m new at making crochet garments, may I ask what stitch you use to seam your garments?
she probably uses slit stitch, but im actl not quite sure 🥲
She says use a yarn needle if I heard her right. So you would use your long tail end, loop it through a yarn needle, and sew the pieces together. You would probably want to do it inside out, so the pretty side is the one facing out.
Hope this helps!

Hey! Your cardigan looks great and I'm on my way to make it myself! I have a question though. Do you think if I make a cardigan just like yours, will I run out of wool and will need to have to buy more of the same colour and join them, or do you think one skein will be enough? It would be really great if my questions were cleared! Thnks!
This is so cute, wondered if you could do this in a jumper pattern? X
