i just started crocheting about 2 weeks ago and I am so glad I’ve found your channel. I already made one of your toque and so happy with the result. Your videos are very well explained and beginner friendly, plus all your creations are so pretty. looking forward in making this one ❤️❤️❤️.
One more of Carrie's creations which will find a home in my wardrobe. I've lost count of how many of your designs I've made so far - Love your creations!! Always simple but yet stylish and fun!
I’m so excited to make this cardigan… I’m still new to crochet and this will be my second cardigan. I’m hoping this is ok to ask but what would your recommendations be for changing colour to create stripes? As this is crocheted I’m the BLO would you change colour every 2 rows? Thank you in advance and again thank you for help ☺️
This cardigan is beautiful! I decided to make one for myself as well using the yarn I have. It is much thicker than the yarn mentioned in the blog post. So I'm trying to follow the measurements instead of the chains used, to make the cardigan. The vertical measurements of the panels were provided in the blog post but horizontal widths were not. So I'd love to know the widths of each panel of the cardigan. (I'm making a small size as well so the measurements you used will be okay) Love your work 💕
its the exact same for me! i think what ill do is make each panels width a bit smaller so maybe a few less rows. did you figure it out in the end anyways?
Hi, Carrie! Is it okay to use 100% cotton yarn for this project? I'm a bit worried that it won't look good 😓 I love your tutorials, by the way! This is my 2nd project following your tutorial. Hehe
I was looking for a sweater pattern. I've never crocheted myself a sweater. It's very cute, but really love the buttons. Thank you for the tutorial. (I also subscribed to your web page).
This is amazing! I love the construction of it and the buttons are really original! thank you Carrie for this tutorial, I learned a lot from it and can't wait to make one!
Such a beautiful cropped cardigan!!! I really need to brush up and learn some more crochet so I could make this! Your voice is so soothing as well... watching this before bedtime, and I'm certain I'll have a restful sleep 😴❤👍
Wow! This is beautiful. Thank you for this tutorial. I've been wanting to crochet a cardigan with this type of pattern and I'm so glad I found yours. I need to go yarn shopping this weekend so I can make this beautiful cardigan to wear for Easter Sunday. Woohoo!
I just made it! It took me many hours and many months due to how busy I was - but I did a little each time I had time. I absolutely love the way that it turned out! Thank you so much - it looks so professional and even if it was a simple design with only 2 different types of stitch (which I already knew) all of your instructions were clear and the footage of how to make the buttons and button holes were also super clear and easy to follow (unlike some other tutorials where they cut out how they do certain things or miss out certain instructions eg. how many stitches across a row). I love all of your work and I am now starting on my next project!
This looks beautiful! And you make your tutorials easy to follow. Thank you. Could please suggest a substitute, just checked this yarn is not available here in SAfrica.
Is the backpanel on the back bulky on the sleves? Love your pattern and are still working on the backpannel, but it seems very wide on the back. When i am buying me a cardigan like this, i am a small. Thank you💕
Hey Carrie! This cardigan is beautiful! It's perfect for my sister, I can't wait to make it for her and the color is one of her favorites... thank you for this perfect pattern and take care.
I made this sweater using Carson Simply Soft in color Auburn Red in a size sm. It was an easy tutorial to follow. Took me about 8 days working on and off to complete it. Thinking about making it in different colors.
When you say "long tail", how long should the tail be? About the length of the piece I'm sewing? A little longer? Maybe twice the length? Or does it depend what stitch I'm using to seam together?
Hi Carrie! I just want to start off by saying I followed this pattern and added my own tweeks to it but I really love this pattern! The cardigan is beautiful and very neat! Thank you so much for this!! ❤
Just wanted to thank you for this pattern, I've used double knit and a size 4.5mm crochet hook. Mine came out beautifully and really need to thank you for your time and effort you have put in your video 🙂
❤❤❤ this pattern! Made for my DIL but used velvet yarn which isn’t machine washer friendly 😣 Your tutorial written pattern is fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
Hey! Your cardigan looks great and I'm on my way to make it myself! I have a question though. Do you think if I make a cardigan just like yours, will I run out of wool and will need to have to buy more of the same colour and join them, or do you think one skein will be enough? It would be really great if my questions were cleared! Thnks!
I'm a novice crocheter, please could anyone tell me if I could make this in a different stitch? I love the pattern and the side to side style, could I make this in another stitch without adjustments to the pattern? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks Sarah.
Hello, i'm a new subscriber. I want to make a cardigan like this because i love it. But i'm confuse to buy type of yarn at online marketplace. Can you tell me how many ply yarn that you used in the video? I'm sorry if my english bad and thank you for this video
I love your patterns so much! This will be the third one I’ve followed so far. I needed a nice simple cardigan of some kind for a bunch of strawberries I crocheted and this is absolutely perfect!
So when crochet I always run into the problem of never being able to crochet two things of the same size (like two sides of a cardigain front) even with the same stiches....idk I can never make two chains of the same length...anyone have tips?
Very nice. I'm on your website right now pinning some patterns. I have enough yarn for a short sleeve poncho maybe but really I'm looking for a sweater vest, short sleeve poncho or something I can do with 5 or 6 balls of Coboo yarn. Got 6 balls in white (2 more of a different dye lot but it's white) and 5 balls of mauve. Was planning on making shirts of some kind.
Hi! 🥰Hope you or someone can help me! I would like to have it a liitle bit longer how can I do that? Hope you understood me😂😅 thanks and greetings from Italy 🥰🧡
If I wanted to make this but sub the yarn, would it be possible to do so with a DK (weight 3) yarn? I don't really know of any local thin weight 4 ones, only thick aran ones.
hi carrie i've made the back panel twice but each time the upper end isnt a straight line and it goes slanted instead and i've made sure im not skipping any stitches

I've been trying to figure out the same thing! I'm using thinner yarn and double crochet with hdc ribbing.
its the exact same for me! i think what ill do is make each panels width a bit smaller so maybe a few less rows. did you figure it out in the end anyways?
@@laylaherzallah6338 I ended up frogging it and starting something else 😅 I think I'll try the pattern again with different yarn sometime soon!

Hi Carrie, I’m new at making crochet garments, may I ask what stitch you use to seam your garments?
she probably uses slit stitch, but im actl not quite sure 🥲
I love pastels in the winter. They may even the most grey, dreary day more cheerful! Thanks Carrie!

i still don't get i must i try it doesn't come straight or equal , i end up getting unequal length / zik zak
How do you know wrong side and right side in half double crochet😢
If the very first chain you made is bottom and left, that must be right side (your crochet has to in front of you)
Why does it feel like when I'm making the Cardigan, it feels small like, I made 81chains but it's only 14.5 if not stretched
Wow! This is beautiful. Thank you for this tutorial. I've been wanting to crochet a cardigan with this type of pattern and I'm so glad I found yours. I need to go yarn shopping this weekend so I can make this beautiful cardigan to wear for Easter Sunday. Woohoo!

Oh, I LOVE this so much ! Thank you for doing this tutorial. So neat how you made your own buttons.
Is it normal for the sweater to shrink while making it? Mine seems to be a lot shorter.
This looks absolutely beautiful!! I'd love to try my hand at making one of these

Just wanted to thank you for this pattern, I've used double knit and a size 4.5mm crochet hook. Mine came out beautifully and really need to thank you for your time and effort you have put in your video 🙂
Just wanted to ask... did you have to adjust your starting chain for length please?
You are the best teacher!
Edit: my jaw dropped when she made the buttons! This woman is genius
I wish measurements were included it would help
I'm pretty sure the measurements are in the pattern on her blog. It is free.
This is a Wonderful sweater! I love the buttons!!!
How many balls of yarn did you use?
It’s 4 balls
Oh.Em.Gee sooooo pretty!! Do you think a DK weight yarn be a sub for the hoobii yarn you used? Thank you!
I think it will be ok as this yarn is thin for a weight 4
Super merci, mais il me manque les boutons comme le votre 😂.
Bellissimo. Lho realizzato. Sei stata bravissima a spiegarlo. Grazieeee❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤ this pattern! Made for my DIL but used velvet yarn which isn’t machine washer friendly 😣 Your tutorial written pattern is fabulous! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you this is very beautiful
This is so gorgeous! Can't wait to make this!
Yes 😊
what do the numbers in the brackets mean? on the website: Rep rows 2-3 until end of row 59( 65, 71, 77, 83, 89).
Hey! Your cardigan looks great and I'm on my way to make it myself! I have a question though. How many yarn needed for full cardigan ?...please I'm a begginer
I'm a novice crocheter, please could anyone tell me if I could make this in a different stitch? I love the pattern and the side to side style, could I make this in another stitch without adjustments to the pattern? Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks Sarah.

If anyone is looking to add pockets to it i made a 5 1/2 by 6 inch square and sewed them right where i wabted them! I just hdc in the back loop.
I love your patterns so much! This will be the third one I’ve followed so far. I needed a nice simple cardigan of some kind for a bunch of strawberries I crocheted and this is absolutely perfect!
How many rolls of thread do you use?
I'm using a different sized yarn so is it possible to know what dimensions the panels should be? Cause going by row count would make it way too big...
So when crochet I always run into the problem of never being able to crochet two things of the same size (like two sides of a cardigain front) even with the same stiches....idk I can never make two chains of the same length...anyone have tips?
Successfully made it in a week😍
Thank you for sharing
Hello! Can I ask for the width dimensions of the back piece specifically?
Hello!! Can I use your pattern in my UA-cam video with credit
How much yarn used for crocheting a cardigan .
Since it is much difficult for me to buy the yarn so I wanna know exactly.
I'm doing a 2Xl. My body part is great but really struggling with the sleeves, they are too wide 😭😭
Very nice. I'm on your website right now pinning some patterns. Hi! I just wanna know if using 8 ply cotton milk yarn would mean doing less rows since it's thick?
Hi! 🥰Hope you or someone can help me! I would like to have it a liitle bit longer how can I do that? Hope you understood me😂😅 thanks and greetings from Italy 🥰🧡
Thank you for including plus sizes in your pattern! As a plus size woman, it's so frustrating when creators stop at large.
Little bit confused in boundary line after button whole stich from there how many stich can we continue.
