- We’ve had quite a few requests for content for newer Twilight Struggle players, so we decided to put together a primer series to explain the basics of the game.
The aim of this series is to introduce you to the basic game mechanics, but to do it in a way that helps you to understand the strategic priorities of the two sides and start thinking on a slightly deeper level.
This is Part 3 in the series, looking at each of the cards in the Early War deck to help you understand what they're used for, how to think about them, when to play them and when to watch out for them in your opponent's hand!

Cheers for these beginner videos Jesse! Having tried my hand at TS a while ago but struggling to grasps the strategy against the AI, I now just beat the AI in early war as the Soviets using your tips! Hoping to do better as the US now which i definitely struggled with before.

Thanks for the guide! I keep getting my butt kicked by the AI and I'm scared to play online. How hard is the AI compared to the average player?
The AI makes some strange plays but it is like playing against an early intermediate player perhaps? Some of its plays are more advanced, and some are wacky! I’m sure as you get more used to the cards you’ll be beating it consistently 🙂
where is the card gallery in game i cannot find it
In the game main menu, it's under "Settings">"Card Gallery"
