DIY How to replace your Smart Key Fob Battery for a Audi A3, A4, A5, S4, S5, S6 or Q7 that use the remote with FCC id IYZFBSB802. This uses a CR2032 replacement battery. This is helpful especially if the battery is too weak to start the car.

CAUTION………Great video but just remember as you’re placing the new battery in the battery retainer clip make sure it’s facing the correct direction!! When I first placed the new battery in the retainer I placed it with the “top” facing up & what I mean by the top is that’s the part of the battery that displays the battery type “2032” but this is INCORRECT but instead you need to place the battery with the battery type facing down or away from you. It looks like your placing the battery in the retainer clip upside down but this is actually the CORRECT way to insert the battery into the retainer clip. Now you simply slide the fresh battery pack back into the key fob & if the battery is good you’ll see the red light on the key fob flash as you’re sliding it into the key fob. Hope this helps because I put my battery in the battery clip incorrectly & tried several batteries with the same “no red light flash” results until I did some troubleshooting & determined I was putting the battery in upside down. In the past when I’d change this type of battery in other devices it was always logical to put the battery in the battery clip with the top of the battery facing up but not so in this case. Hope this LONG explanation helps👍

If you have an Audi and you are seeing messages that say "Is your key in the car?" or "Key not recognized." and asking you to hold the key near the special spot on the dash, or seeing a picture of a key hole and a key with a question mark (on the top of the dashboard) -- try changing your key fob battery (CR2032). No tools required! Just watch the video!
