All it takes is the right combo (see: Johnson/Knaus/Hendrick) to take an otherwise so-so driving talent and catapult him to legendary status talked about amongst the best.

    It was a first class A-Hole decision to end his day. Yes, “in the rule book” but also “in the rule book” is a choice to hold him a lap or two, or not… Having the bearbond fall off, wasn’t intentional, he should not have received the maximum penalty.

    • @limprooster3253
      @limprooster3253 Рік тому +1

      Pretty sure the maximum penalty is in the rule book for safety reasons, like if a car were to re enter the track with a damaged or missing crush panel (yet that used to happen ALL OF THE TIME). This definitely should not have been a DQ penalty.
      Not sure why nascar did him that way. I guess because they were burning 12 laps per caution and he caused yet another one. This sets a very interesting precedent though if nascar wants to be consistent. How often do we see cars leave pit row early because the pace car is coming and they don't want to lose a lap? Not as often as when we didn't have the crash clock but it still happens. So shouldn't those cars take multi lap penalties? Shouldn't we be black flagging cars with tape flapping and parts dangling (ahem Chase Elliott at the Roval)? What about loose wheels coming off? I know there's an established precedent for that but your wheel coming off extended the caution, so uh.. park it buddy, right?

You should put the microphone near your mouth when asking the questions and then put the microphone near the person you are interviewing when they answer. By holding the microphone in Josh Williams face the whole time we can clearly hear his answers but not the questions you are asking so we only get half of the interview.

    It's BS. It's happened numerous times in the past. They won't park big-name drivers and teams for it. We've literally have had cautions for water bottles, padding off the roll bars thrown out of the window. Etche a sketch nascar rule book. It gets old

    People go to races and watch races to see racing not the Promoter / NASCAR or the France family. This nonsense is why a 50 year long fan [and local race car owner/drive] no longer watches NASCAR.

    Nascar on this rule is BS. The team didn't make it so the barer bond would come off on purpose. Rules are a guide line that's why they have the part 1 lap penalty not just parking a car. Just like normal ASSCAR over reaction.

    Hey look, if the car was so unsafe that it needed to parked and was not to be driven, that is what he did, he parked an unsafe race car. M N R A. Make nascar racing again.
