Love the Blues !!! Better than today’s so-called ‘music’, and that’s a fact. “Life Goes On” is my favorite song by Ms. Thornton - one of the greatest things I’ve ever been blessed to hear. Thank you for this. 🎸
Absolutely POSITIVELY amazing so much talent and Big Mama Thornton deserves much more credit than she ever got plus my lord the icons and talent here is stunning
When asked what is your favorite musical instrument, since a very young age itbwas been the harmonica. I get the chills when i hear the greats like n Big moma Tornton.
@ you’re right about the talent. I’ve been around for decades. I have yet to see any other group of people who can emulate the “natural” soulful sounds of black musicians. Some have come close but not close enough. That’s NATURAL, honey.
@@tonisumblin2719 Yeah but what I wanted to acknowledge is that on top of whatever comes "natural" is a lot of culture that people grow up soaking in and a lot of work and dues to get where these players are in this video. I guess when I read "natural" it makes me think of things that just come to a person regardless of context or effort.
I'm so glad this was recorded!!!! This was priceless ...

Been listening to John Lee Hooker for forty years. Never knew he played harp!
They're all killin' it! But there's just something about Shakey!
He was right up there with Sonny Boy as far as harmonica genius goes. Not sure what John Lee was doing on harp?
Ikr- I was like….bruh, you work the guitar in all its forms…why you rocking da blues harp?

Am I totally wrong, all those musicians should be as big as the Rolling Stones
Without them, there would have been no Rolling Stones. This is where the RS got their ideas.

Hooker isn't often seen blowing harp - or dancing, either!
Estan bailando Charleston?🤨
No. It’s call “Natural rhythm” you’re born with it.
no, wrong era for the old-timey Charleston, which I believe was popular in the 1920's
@@tonisumblin2719 Ok maybe it's "natural" but it's also learned, and cultural.
