Can I expect S8 to last longer than Ipad?
The latest iPad Air is a strange combination of hardware.. It's like a PC with a RTX 3090 videocard in it but running it on a 60Hz monitor.. You're just not utilizing all that compute power.. The Tab S8 makes more sense, because even with the weaker (but fast enough) chip because of the 120Hz screen it looks and feels faster.. It's also better for consuming content like watching TV, movies and UA-cam videos because of the better widescreen aspect ratio and better 4 speakers.. For me the Galaxy Tab S series would always be the better choice.. I got a Tab S8+ myself because I wanted the slightly bigger but still mobile screen, and it's OLED so proper HDR.. The S8 Ultra is to big for me, since I use it on the move a lot as well.. With Apple you have to go for the iPad Pro to get a 120Hz screen, and to get proper HDR support you have to get the very expensive 12,9" Pro with mini-LED screen (and it still lacks a pen as standard).. The only thing Apple still does better is a few years longer software updates support (6-7 years vs 4-5) , but that's it.. The iPad is not worth the much higher price anymore imho, unless you need it for particular software that only runs on a iPad..
Another important difference between the two is that the S Pen supports handwriting to text conversion far superior to the Apple Pencil’s Scribble which doesn’t even work in a lot of apps (eg Google Docs). The Samsung keyboard has a S Pen box that works fantastic, similar to how well it works on Windows tablets. I have the Tab S8 and the iPad Pro 12.9 and find I am using the Tab S8 more (perhaps I should have got the Tab S8+). Unfortunately, some of the apps I use on the iPad don’t have equal versions on the Tab but that’s Google’s problem not Samsung. Their One UI 4.1 is great.
I have the s8 plus I freaking luv it. I threw in a 512gb for more storage no complaints here. I just wish I knew how to draw lol

Thanks to the Tab S7 and S8 I started to draw more and ditched drawimg on my iPads completely. I think the Apple Pencil 1 is 1 of the worst inventions from Apple. I gave up on that trash of a pencil. Wasted $100 on it and only used it for a year. I've never used the Apple Pen 2 tho. The S-Pen is and feels way better. Some people don't know how great the S-Pen is!
I've learned drawing a lot over the last 2 years, but still not a pro at all.
S-Pen + ibis Paint X is my fav combo!
I agree that Samsung DeX is still more flexible than Stage Manager. Another advantage to DeX is that it has better compatability with older devices since Apple resticted Stage Manager to the M1 iPads.

The ipad air 5 is really a great beast and probably the best in longevity and productivity
However... assuming you're an average person, Note taking, content consumption, Art/Designer. Then surely you will want the 120Hz and 128Gb storage.
Those are the more essential stuff.
Not to mention the s-pen.
Overall price-benefits wise, I'll take the Tab s8.
And The M1 chip? Bro ur not even using 40% of the M1 chip's capabilities.
The sd gen1 will take care of 99% of your needs.

iPad OS is very limiting. If you try to do anything other than media consumption it fails. Samsung Tab S8 is like a portable PC

I have the s22U and the 13ProMax, and the s22U is hands down the best.
For the regular s22 and iPhone 13, I couldn’t really tell you which to go for except maybe something that works well with the ecosystem you’re already in, so it depends. My s22U vs 13ProMax vid might give you some insights

I have the regular Samsung Galaxy S22.. It's good beautiful designed phone, on par with the iPhone 13 I think.. Only possible downside is the limited battery life, so it depends how important that is for you, the iPhone 13 has better battery life.. As far as ecosystems (iOS or Android), I think it doesn't really matter, both phones and systems do pretty much the same things.. Unless of course you feel it's important to you for a certain specific feature(s) that can only be done by one or the other, but if you did you would probably not still be questioning which one to get.. Get the one you can get the best deal on I guess (for me that was the S22)..

Hi! Thx a lot for the video! I'm planning to buy a tablet soon, but am stuck between tab S7 Fe and tab s8. I need it for school mostly, for tasks such as reading and taking notes. I imagine s8 to be too small for notes compared to S7 Fe, but s8 seems better in all the other aspects. Which one would you recommend?
S7 FE display has terribly bad color accuracy. On S7 FE white is yellow, blue is azure. I bought S7 FE but changed it for S8

I'm feeling the same, I'm a genshin player, when I played on my iphone 11 and samsung tab S8, I feel my iphone 11 is still run genshin smoother than tab s8, and the quality on my ip is better than tab s8. feels sad about that fact 😢

You would be cucking yourself with the 7FE with the benchmarks. You'd be better off with an older Tab S6 if you're going the budget route. Don't fall for new cheap deals.

The bad standby time and the terrible glare of the Tab s8 made me go with the ipad air
the only problem i got with s8 line was they dont offer 5g unlocked version on all Tab S line. here in usa only tab s8plus has 5g but its locked on carrier. the S and S ultra only got wifi no 5g locked/unlocked at all
I find that very annoying considering that Samsung offered a 5G variant of the Tab S7.

I guess it could be worth mentioning that even though the iPad software is not utilizing the complete potential of the M1 right now, that could change in the future with OS updates, whereas the Tab S8 is running at 100% atm. From a longetivity standpoint, S8 could become outdated quicker.
What you just said sounds utterly stupid. That doesn't even make sense. The app store doesn't even have any apps that can fully utilize the Snapdragon processor to its full potential. It is running nowhere near 100% and won't be for years.

No, iPadOS 16 was a major letdown and Stage Manager still lacks the flexibility of Samsung DeX. Plus, Apple restricted Stage Manager to the M1 iPads.

@@smartphonefan5226 Flexibility. there are no good apps running for android tablets. Dex just tries to turn a tablet OS to desktop "like mode" but only visually. IPAD OS has way better apps and now with stage manager it allows set of window sets for those who need many apps on one screen. Windows does the same thing. So how is it a let down?
@@anthonyhernandez6230 App optimization is the only advantage iPadOS has over Android. iPadOS 16 is still a letdown because it’s locked down compared to Android and Windows. Customization is still limiting, there is no option to sideload apps, and there are still some external drive issues such as not being able to unmount within the Files app. Also, data transfer speeds between the M1 iPad Pro and an external SSD are slower compared to an M1 MacBook.
and more updates to come. Don't underestimate the engine power. S8 is like Vegeta going at full strength tryhard sweaty while iPad M1 is Goku fighting like a warmup match without even needing to go Super Saiyan.
