Aquarium Co-Op Hi, surprising that you can sell this new product even before that appear on any of Fluval websites.. Nice review, really interesting product that may be alternative to my current Daytime setup from here in Germany ;)
I just bought this light from you based solely off this video!!! Also bought a whole tank full of plants from this company, definitely a stand up company and guy !!!
Bought my 3.0 LED from Aquarium Co-Op last week, I'm really loving the light and it was cool seeing this guy at Aquashella in Dallas. Awesome stuff and happy to support small business!
Just bought this from you I love it so far it arrived quickly and in good condition it lights my entire tank which I was worried about because my tank is actually very deep but it lights it top to bottom and every corner I'm very happy with it thank you
Just picked mine up, and a heads up for any prospective buyers out there in 2019 and beyond. They released an update to the app and there are even more options for the timer. Makes this awesome light even better.
@@guygirl8494 uggh sorry didn't get a notification for this, I'm sure you have already found the answer but for anyone else yes you absolutely can. Could set multiple ones if you wanted. This is how I have it set while I'm at work.
Kim Yaworski, dang congratulations :) I just got my 2.0 three weeks ago... so Rip. Wait! AquariumCoop has a 30day exchange policy, maybe its not to late for me! :D
I bought this light from Aquarium Co-op for my new 65 gallon tank. I love it! My plants are doing very well and the video Cory posted as a review and how to work the app made setting up my lights easy. Thank you!
Great review Cory. FLuval did it right on this light. Having an app that you can download to your phone or any other device having full controllability is an added plus. Will be buying one of these for my 46g bowfront at work. 👍
I have the 2.0 and love it. Once it dies or i get another tank i will for sure be getting one of these. Fluval products are worth the money! Thanks for the review cory
Cory, thanks for the fast shipping on the light. It's brighter than the Aquasky I had been using, which is no surprise and the app is a hell of a lot better than the fluval dual timer I'd been using to control the Aquasky. Thanks.
Hey Cory, I always prefer to support small businesses... even at a higher price if its not ridiculous. I checked my local fish shop, they dont have it. Ill add it to my next order. THX!
Less PAR doesn't mean it has less photosynthetically usable radiation(PUR). The new led technology is getting better every year by leveraging more PUR vs PAR,this saves energy and the emitters last longer. Light and Redox are my personal specialty you could say and because I maintain a few mixed reef tanks for clients I really had to step up my game in understanding led technology and how to use it properly. I would use this light if I could see the spectral output, to me that's just as important as using PAR to determine whether this light would do the job.
48tomw would this lamp maintain high light demanding plants like dwarf hair grass, glossostigma, hc Cuba or baby tears? That’s what I’m really interested in. Would you know if it’s going to be enough?
@@JesemanuelRamirez NP..I grow many plants maybe because I am in barbados! But try to always remember that type of lighting is not as important as Timing of lighing... basically once they get enough , they will be okay and grow just fine. 🤝🏽most plants will adjust.
Literally just bought a finnex 24/7 of course I did. Guess I could cancel the order, but then again I'm setting up another tank in the (near) future.. dueling 24/7 lights? Yes. Yes. I can't lose..!
I bought the 2.0 a few months ago for my 33 gallon. I was planning on getting a 75 gallon in a month or two when I get my income tax return. I will definitely be looking into getting the 3.0 for that tank. This looks amazing. Pairing is a cool option. I am keeping both tanks next to each other so it would be a great idea to get a 3.0 for the 33 gallon too.
l'Coop (how Joel would say it if he were french) is my first stop for all shippable goods. Light seems cool. I was an early ecoexotic adopter and it continues to live no matter how much I want a new wizbang.
Thanks for the excellent review Cory! Thanks to your video, I just ordered the light from your web site for my 20 gal long. Cant wait for the green fun.
Anthony Ragan I just bought a 2.0 last week. You can’t return yours? I’m returning mine and buying this instead. It was the same price as the 2.0 I bought off of amazon lol
Purchased the 30 inch light from Aquarium Co op and had it for a week now and couldn’t be more happy with it. I like the phone control and how you adjust the presets. Fast shipping.
Great review. Looks like a very nice light. Slightly disappointing with the PAR reading at substrate level. The features and app still make this light worth considering if the budget allows. Would have been nice to see PAR readings at various levels, not just substrate level. Thanks for sharing.
Just bought a Finnex Planted +, now I want this one. Lol, thanks for the review, would be interested to see how it does on a tank after a few months as far as plant growth is concerned.
I just got the 2.0 from Aquarium Co-Op. I like the simplicity of it and the extra PAR I get from it if needed. I don't see myself needing anything else, but thank you for the review on the 3.0 :)
This has the features my nerdy self needs, to justify something better that my diy stuff. I may have to start making the sales pitch to my financial executive. I'm likely less that 27 PAR currently, with fantastic plant growth. A drop from 2.0 isn't a deal breaker for me.
Very professional review, thanks. I really like your picture-in-picture work; it makes things so much easier to understand. I suspect you will sell many, many of these.
Thats what i was thinking as well, i hope they update the app to have "ramp up" or "Ramp down" for all the modes instead of one setting until you hit the next time for it to shift. maybe Fluval will listen to customers

I just bought this light and I Wanted to get it from you not only to show support, but you guys offer an extra piece of warranty that I don't have to call Fluval if something happens you guys take care of all that. And to be honest it was 209 on Amazon you had it for 2:19 but that $10 don't mean nothing compared to the hasslefrewness ( new big word lol) you guys taking care of the warranty issues, what does shouldn't be any because my man Corey put his stamp of approval so I'll be good
What depth was the par sensor at bellow the water level? Also, the one thing missing from all the lights is optional optics kits. This would allow us to hang the lights higher above the tank and focus the light down. The 120 degree spread casts the light onto the glass causing algea growth on the glass. The use of optics would also increase par where we actually need it
is it a better option to use three smaller lights placed along the breadth instead of a single long light running across the length of the tank in a planted aquarium
Omg‼️I’m sooo excited just told the wife U hinted at it in a previous video and I was gonna wait... then BOOM 💥 (but I wanna know how good is it for plant growth compared to the 2.0 - that 27 par isn’t reassuring
To be honest, we really didn't know when they were going to launch. I still have over 100 fluval 2.0s in inventory. We had to rush to get this video out as they had finally shipped and thus a mid day/late night upload.
I have this light. Got it pre-owned at my LFS for $50. Love it. It's has really made my pink flamingo crypts and Red Reineckii pop with color. Took a while to figure out that there is not specific time for the daytime setting as it is just the end of sunrise and the beginning of sunset. That just did not sink in at first. Maybe you explained it, but I was so fascinated by nerdy app stuff that I missed it.
Hey Cory, I just installed 2 36" 3.0s on my 72" 125. It's like 23" deep but with a plenum, dirt, and gravel cap my plants are planted at apx 18" deep. Oyld you recommend a cool carpeting plant this light will grow. Got the lights from you Btw, thanks great price with current only line discouts

I would love to buy from you but as always, shipping to Canada obviously a problem. Thanks for your hours of information though, if I can't buy from you I'm happy to learn from you.
I just recieved this light and the app doesn't have some of the functions that were advertised on the play store like weekly schedule or dynamic weather functions.. or did i miss something?
Dedicated blue and white LEDs are just brighter than red or green... When you expand the spectrum there is a trade-off in brightness... More control and a wider fuller spectrum is going to be a bit dimmer unless the are just adding LEDs vs replacing them.
I'm new to the hobby and I'm looking at getting a Fluval as I want my tank to be quite heavily planted... I was just wondering why the Fluval 2.0 is deemed as being quite bad? I was looking at the 2.0 mainly because of cost!
It is improved over the 2.0 in almost every way except the temperature. It runs extremely hot. Like 120 degrees Fahrenheit hot. They should have used the 2.0 casing with fins which runs much cooler. Using it on a dart frog vivarium I had to raise it off the tank because it was increasing the temp too much in viv.
Cory, Can we see par numbers for Finnex Monster Ray, Finnex vivid, fluval fresh, marine and plant all compared on the same tank in one video? Also go over the difference between this plant light and fluval marine light and fresh light. Im very confused as to which one to buy.

Using it on a dart frog vivarium I had to raise it off the tank because it was increasing the temp too much in viv.
I had no idea that it got that hot. I bought this for my Fluval Flex 32.5 Gallon aquarium. 120 degrees will cook my fish and even my turtle.
totally want to test one out that app is awesome
Cory,
Can we see par numbers for Finnex Monster Ray, Finnex vivid, fluval fresh, marine and plant all compared on the same tank in one video? Also go over the difference between this plant light and fluval marine light and fresh light. Im very confused as to which one to buy.
