You need to do a short video showing how you wired the LED lights.

Great video. Like you I see no future in the discussion on who is the better motor. Might add a thought tho. Their are to maintenance items that I always did on my motors. Several times per season I would check the lower unit oil for water contamination and I would remove the prop to check for line wrapped around the prop shaft. Both take less than ten minutes. My learning curve costed me a $1700.00 lower unit repair in the early nineties. Just a thought. Great channel!

No one wins debates over the internet so I rarely participate. I do however respect what everyone runs and their opinions. My video covers having some fun with your Mercury and what you could do with it. Sorry if I don’t understand how what a dealer charges for a 100 hour service relates or a consumer knowing a 100 hour required service is due before they chose to purchase a motor. Some consumers put hundreds of hours on a motor in a year and tour the country, some put 43 hours a year on a motor which is the average hours of your data provided below. Either way, I’ve never paid that much for a 100 hour service and I’m happy to service mine every 100 hours based on how many miles I travel and how much it costs to travel. Hope you liked any part of the video above about lights, color upgrades, products to use with your Mercury which is the fun or awareness intended for Mercury owners to know about and possibly use on their motor if they would like.

raymondjonesfishing.com / It really sounds like this responder needs to call Mercury and put in a formal complaint.

Do you think they could wire it to the ignition somehow so the lights are only on when it’s running?

are the cowl lights a kit or did you just use some blue led strips and wire them in yourself?

Nice engine and boat. Just distracted by the awfully tasteless nylon top you are wearing. Must frighten off the fish

Just had my 1 year or 100 hr service done on my 150 four stroke . The cost thereof is simply a rip off when compared to running a previous e etc. for starters some would only have done less than 100 hrs but the manufacturer requires the service to be done 1 year after purchase. Paying $800 for this is a rip off. A impeller change at 80 hrs , my e etc ran 300 hrs and was almost 7 years old when the impeller was done and showed minimal wear. Mercury are greasing there customers with this approach to service scheduling.

With all the sponsors it must be nice not to have to be financially responsible for all these top toys that you pros get to enjoy while all the rest of us that actually work only get to watch .. . . . .
