Come to this via todays Guardian article on Daisy which was really interesting - and the link to her first album. What an extraordinarily gifted musician and so beautiful beautiful songs - her voice has a quality beyond words. I love wicker man too . Looks like a painting by Hilma Af Klint in background one of the greatest artists forgotten for a long time but now being appreciated. These songs and this voice and Daisy’s general presence is working for me on so many levels which you could compare to Klint. Let’s pray she and others like her can find affordable homes in their native Cornwall etc. And I will be looking forward to the release of her new album.
Just watched The Wicker Man for the first time. Came out the year I was born. Can’t believe I’ve never considered it. Blew me away. Love this song. Feels very British ilses folk vibe. Beautiful rendition. Really captured the spirit. I really enjoyed this. Thank you
This is one of my favourite songs to sing to myself when I am out on the motorbike, but it's fair to say that your version was way better than mine! Really enjoyed that.
your voice is beautiful. dude i'm getting chills here. so well done. i _love_ your pronunciations, and the vocalizing at the end is so sweet-sounding. 💚💙💜🔥👮🔥
Hey Daisy, great to see somebody with soul in this post truth age. Wonderful voice, great playing and a beautiful woman. I'd ask you what you were doing later but I'm a bit old for that jazz. Hope to hear more from you xx
There's something of the Jackson Frank in your playing and singing Daisy. It's terrific. If you're looking at other Scottish singer-songwriters, you should look at Gerry Rafferty, John Martyn and James Grant.
Have you listened to Sibylle Baier? If not you should give her music a listen, the way she tells a story through her music is unlike anything I’ve heard. There’s an intimacy behind it that just captivates. I think you could totally pull off her sound! Check out “I Lost Something in the Hills”. Amazing job by the way!!
Gmaj to Am add 9 (b)? Is she voicing an f on the 1st fret high e-string, Am add 9/13? What's that F# chord? I'd suss it, but my guitar is in the pawn shop.
You have got me stroking the walls.
😆
Go on you randy boy 🤣
@@finolaomurchu8217I can feel ALL of you through the wall(s).

I watched The Wicker Man (1973) for the very first time a few weeks ago. I was immediately mesamerized by the music.

This is one of those Songs that Haunts You.... Enjoyed your rendition "Thank-You".
Lyrics for those who might be interested:
Heigh ho
Who is there?
No one but me my dear
Please come
Say how do
The things I'll give to you?
I'll stroke you as gentle as a feather
I'll catch a rainbow from the sky
And tie the ends together
Heigh ho
I am here
Am I not young and fair?
Please come
Say come how do
The things I'll show to you?
Would you have a wondrous sight?
Mmmm Mmm The midday sun at midnight
Fair maid, white and red,
Comb you smooth
And stroke your head
How a maid can milk a bull
Mmm Mmmm
And every stroke a bucketful
Haaa Haa Ha
Haaa Haa Ha

This music does take people to strange places.
Lovely voice + playing, thanks for sharing!!
I think I could turn and live with animals. They are so placid and self-contained. They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins.
This is an amazing cover
