Got to say, I’m loving your channel now. Only so many videos one can watch of mowing the same backyard lawn…. But the variety of videos now is great! So keen to watch this progress!
Dude, its looking so freaking amazing already. What a difference it makes just to consistently knock the paddock down. Cannot wait to see how the Par 3 paddock ends up looking. Saahweeeeet.
Very exciting times ahead for the family. With the post either paint it or leave it, just can’t tell in the video but put a cap on it so the post doesn’t rust inside out
Most importantly, congrats on your new arrival. All the best to you and the family. Just wanna say that paddock is looking amazing already just with the mow 👌
Nothing like seeing property freshly mowed, sometimes I miss living on acreage just for the experience of mowing on a ride on mower Lol 😂, but not the work involved in maintaining it all the time, it’s looking Fabulous Ben, Congratulations on baby Bobby, another boy in the Sim family, not long it will be Lawn Tips and Sons with a Girl, Hope Emma and Bub are doing Well. Cheers from Janelle 💙🤱🏼….oh and I’d paint the post the same colour as the shed and make sure no water gets down the tube of it, Great that Hoselink gave you a hose to clean your new equipment. Love my Hoselink hoses.
Thanks for the continuous content during lockdown ❤️ Definitely paint the steel post black! Maybe get the kids to draw some art on it for a finishing touch? Keep up the good vibes 🤙🏻
We wash our deck this way for sport fields. Plug in the water run the blades for a few minutes. Then we put it on the lowest it can go, this creates a "mini pressure washer " and it cleans it even better!! Best to do it on a cement or paving surface. Works great!
Yep. Paint the pole. Also, when you get a new mower, before using it line the inside of the deck with ceramic coating, same stuff they use on cars - nothing will stick to it, just a hose out and done.
i have been working on my next doors lawns for just over a year now and all the winter grass is seeding. so I have let it grow but the person on the other side of my neighbour just ran over it with a mower and catcher and there was so much seed I just home some seeds got left behind.
I was editing before and I did not actually watch it. Can't wait to see you get that place looking mint. If you don't upload as often, I don't mind at all. Have a good one Ben and you and the fam keep safe as well.
Paint to color match shed. Anotha lawn tip vid comment. Also a ceramic wax coating is a thing some are using to keep the machines from getting grass blade gunk build up.
On one hand, I'm sad that winter is looming around the corner for us here in the US. On the other hand, though, I'm very excited to see how your new place looks in peak growing season. Congrats on the little one, ya dawg!
That's all I ever do is just mulch. And if the lawn/paddock is bit more grown than usual just lift the deck up a tad....The paddock came up well. I took my chute guard off I kept banging into things!
You should run the plumbing up inside the post and mount the tap on it, instead of on a separate post and you could also have the plumbing for the hose reel on a T so that it leaves the tap free. Also have a cap on top.
What's the plan for the trees at the driveway entrance before the gate (where you got stuck)? Looks like a pain to have to keep putting the roll bar down and keep ducking. Small shrubs &/or flowerbeds or something around the base?
hey mate you have inspired me to have a lawn so ive just laid SGZ and now have a few weeds coming through is titan dicamba +mcpa any good ? also keen on looking into ur lawn care programs
Maybe time for a little experiment? I have come across a few posts of folks using Fluid Film on their mower decks to prevent grass buildup. May make your life a little easier and protect that awesome piece of mowing kit :D
Just brought a acre so not as big as yours but was wondering the best grass in Victoria for Kids/dogs and something that can be mulched like this as we dont have green bin waste
One of my favorite lawn care accounts using a JD zero turn. Would love to know what you think of the cut quality? I'm considering purchasing my first zero turn and first John Deere machine. Not sure if you have used Exmark mowers or not but I'm between the Z545R and the Exmark Radius E. Wondering if you (or anyone else) has some advice on cut quality, durability, etc. Thanks!
Tried a bit of both. Held back on the first few passes. Then went full stick half way through. I found it seemed to actually look cleaner when I went faster
Now granted, I don’t own 900 million acres like you… but I will never mulch again. I have been bagging for the last two years and my lawn has never looked better.
Congrats on the beautiful baby!
Congrats on the new arrival mate!! 🙌🏼
"Nose and the eyes" Love it :)
Mr Hayne aka lcn, will be happy to see your mulching your clippings
"Nose and the eyes" hahaha that was the cutest!!
Congrats & all the best with the new bub mate. Family first everytime
Congrats on the incoming family addition 👏👍. No wonder you needed a bigger property 🤔🤣❤️
Great vid, you’ll keep chipping away and have it looking perfection in no time.

Thanks mate, I’m loving the change and having something more to do!
This is the most interesting lawn content around at the moment mate, it’s already looking better, the work you’re doing is starting to show. 🤜🤛
Thanks mate, appreciate it!

Yeah cap will definitely be going on!
Thanks as well mate, love having a big fam 🤙🏼
Nice to see the lawn taking shape. Congrats to you and the Mrs.
Congratulations mate. Back to those sleepless nights for a while 🥲
Def spray that hoselink post mate, it'll look great 👍🏻
Most importantly, congrats on your new arrival. All the best to you and the family. Just wanna say that paddock is looking amazing already just with the mow 👌

I agree Janelle! Nothing like mowing a property and see the end result 👌🏽
Thanks so much, hope you are well!!
Congrats on the bubs thats probably born by now!
"Nose and eyes" so good that you are able to catch all those moments on video, including all the "yo, wad up mate"s. Congratuations in advance.
This is like mandatory watching for me, especially during lockdown. Congrats on the little one buddy
Thanks mate 🤙🏼
Well early congrats on the little one. That’s one more hand to help on the Lawn Tips!
Congrats on the new member of the family, I hope all goes well. Also, your going to go through so fuel with all that equipment. 😯
I swear in every video you have another kid!😂 awesome job buddy!
Mulches beautifully, nice looking mower!
Congrats on the baby my friend mine is due in January it'll be my 5th lol!!!
Hardwood post with a copper weather cap and some copper nails 🤙
Thanks for the continuous content during lockdown ❤️
Definitely paint the steel post black! Maybe get the kids to draw some art on it for a finishing touch?
Keep up the good vibes 🤙🏻
Not a bad idea getting the kids to draw on it!
Congratulations on the new family member the property is looking amazing, the machinery is a must have well done.
My 2nd one is coming in 5 weeks! Take your time. Here’s to health and happiness!
give the post a spray cob, will come up a treat 👍
Congratulations on the upcoming baby. A toy gator will be needed
been mowing long bro lol good to see I'm not the only one getting bogged
Loving the vids…. Good luck with the baby mate!!
Mate, ya should be using the 2750 E cut
I like the mulch kit ...it does a good job looks like 👍...cheers
Sweet as Ben Sims.
All the best for the new arrival mate.
👍👍👍

Congrats! Another gate opener in training.
Go to a fencing mob and grab a knock on cap for that hose post, it'll look tidier and stop the top from rusting.
Also congrats moit!
Kids are cute when young with funny stuff they say
Love the videos!
Keep the post standard, but make sure the top is capped.
Yep. Paint the pole. Also, when you get a new mower, before using it line the inside of the deck with ceramic coating, same stuff they use on cars - nothing will stick to it, just a hose out and done.
Best of luck with the new baby!
Great video
How long til we see the golf green construction start? lol

I love my hoselink reels.

1) shhhh your secret from the 1/3 rule is safe with me.
2) Whenever it happens, congratulations on your new addition to your family.
Having any Reel Mower withdrawals yet?? Congrats on the new setup!!!
Great video mate. Looks like you’ve got yourself a great project with the new property 👍🏻
I always mulch
Paint to color match shed. Anotha lawn tip vid comment. Also a ceramic wax coating is a thing some are using to keep the machines from getting grass blade gunk build up.
Never heard of the ceramic coating to be honest! I’ll have to look into it
nice and tidy...

Try x-blades. I have heard nothing but good about the high lift and gator blade stacked in an x.
Best to you both with the new baby on its way :)
Thanks Keith!
That's all I ever do is just mulch. And if the lawn/paddock is bit more grown than usual just lift the deck up a tad....The paddock came up well. I took my chute guard off I kept banging into things!
Good luck with new addition to fam also bro
Could you do a video on cleaning a push mower and how to maintain them?
Love it mate. Just made my first purchase from your online shop. Glad to help you out rather than Bunnings!! Lol
Thanks mate! Really appreciate the support!!
that was an apprentices wash!
😂
Looks great 👍🏼🇦🇺
Speaking of hoselink. Do you still have a discount code going?
How does the zero turn fare with slopes?
Are you going to keep both the ride on and zero turn?
Lots of lanoline spray after each pressure wash under the deck, when sharpening blades. The clippings hardly stick to the lanoline.
Congrats mate.
You should run the plumbing up inside the post and mount the tap on it, instead of on a separate post and you could also have the plumbing for the hose reel on a T so that it leaves the tap free. Also have a cap on top.
Great call, definitely will do this.

hey mate you have inspired me to have a lawn so ive just laid SGZ and now have a few weeds coming through is titan dicamba +mcpa any good ? also keen on looking into ur lawn care programs
Good tip for the zero turn blades Ben - impact driver with socket adapter bit. The torque is in the middle so the blades don't spin :)
I’ll need an impact driver now haha
Maybe time for a little experiment? I have come across a few posts of folks using Fluid Film on their mower decks to prevent grass buildup. May make your life a little easier and protect that awesome piece of mowing kit :D
Spray the underside of my Ute with it before site makes it much easier to get the shit off
Should get a striping kit for the zero also 😉😂
You going to be able to fit a stripping kit on the back of the zero turn ?
I’m sure I could haha
Just brought a acre so not as big as yours but was wondering the best grass in Victoria for Kids/dogs and something that can be mulched like this as we dont have green bin waste
waiting for full renovation video 👀😱
Are you of the opinion that mulching contributes to the buildup of thatch?
Last Aussie 😁. 🤠
Noce bit of gear for the mower and it's way cleaner, hope all goes well with the new one take a week or 2 off if you have to we will understand 👍

You should ideally use an air compressor to clean up your mowers after you mow
Hey mate. In your spraying videos you have a boom wand, where did you get it?!? None of my local ag places have them!
Are you going full speed on the mower or holding it back a bit?
Tried a bit of both. Held back on the first few passes.
Then went full stick half way through. I found it seemed to actually look cleaner when I went faster
nice!
Dude we could be in Orange Hospital together my misses is about to pop too.
Good luck with it all mate!!
Now granted, I don’t own 900 million acres like you… but I will never mulch again. I have been bagging for the last two years and my lawn has never looked better.
Tokyo Drifting on the John Deere. Go the mulch. All the best with No. 4
Haha, thanks mate
When you say "we got stuck down in the little hole", who is "we"? 😄
You and I. Haha I dunno 😂
you need to invest in a decent pressure washer Ben... you'd have a million uses.
Those currawongs
Geeze I miss their sound
I’d paint it.
lol we've all been there at 9:08
UA-cam may not make you rich, but you get nearly everything for free 😅👌
Haha, one of the perks of doing the vids!
I do turn a lot of free stuff down though, get some odd offers sometimes
Set your deck wheels to your cutting height
I hate mulching with a passion, thatchy nonsense that the kids drag through the house. Will be interested to see a long term mulched area !
That’s fair mate. Defs need to mulch often. But would be just as messy if not worse down there with the side shoot!
Guys remember keep your deck clean otherwise it will ruin it. Lol if u know you know
Don’t cut any grass that’s even remotely wet with that mulch kit on. All that mulch is gonna start caking up big time under that deck.
spray paint i reckon will look a ton better
Leave the post but put a cap on it
