I once finished a game by doing beyblade 3 times. They blocked the first two, but they didnt expect the third. So yes, the Nago stereotype is correct as far as I am concerned
As a may main, at first I just wanted to hit people with an anchor because I thought it would be funny. Now, 100 hours later, I worship Satan himself and make blood sacrifices to ensure that my dolphin continues to listen to my commands and doesn't eat me alive.
The reason I play ky is because he seems like the "sword in one hand, spell in the other" Architype. And I'm a big fan of that. Plus I'm pretty much brand new to fighting games, so he looks like a good all-rounder learning tool.
As someone who switched from Day 1 Chaos to Jack-O. I would say the feeling of control is easily the best feeling ever. I really like breaking my wrists when doing pressure and get pissed when pot PBs me mid pressure because I destroyed my hands so badly.
Imma be real, I started playing GGST like yesterday, and picked May up because she was adorable and I loved her vibe. Now mind you, I had absolutely ZERO previous knowledge of Guilty Gear outside of a few character names, and had ZERO clue how fucking scary May was, but now that I know she's a smol bean with an insatiable bloodlust, I just love her even more now. So yes, May main stereotypes are in fact absolutely correct.
I have been playing Strice for around 2 Weeks now, picked up Nagoriyuki as a main because, 1: A youtuber said he'd never be able to do it, so challenge accepted, 2: He's really cool, and 3: I like the feel of his gameplay. And already Strive is probably my favorite fighting game I've ever picked up. I'm already feeling myself getting into that Nagoriyuki main stereotype. I found myself on one of those websites that had a bunch of information on how characters (on accident, mind you. I was looking for his LORE) and their moves works, figured it was too much of a bother and just played the game. Also, Giovanna is my secondary cause she's really fun and really solid. And Jack-O has my favorite move animations in the whole game.

@@senritsujumpsuit6021 Again, pointless comparison, different game, different system mechanics, different movement options, absurdly different frame data and gattlings, literally every single character in GGST that was also in +R would easily lose to their +R version. I-no players tell you to 6P the overhead and then frametrap you into a repeating wallslump
I'm not even going to pretend like I don't do that...
I-No players force you to RPS in their (our 😉) favor. If you don't RPS you get opened up eventually, but if you do odds are you're not gonna enjoy the result. Single player gaming all day baby.
And ill do it again
There are two kinds of I-no players;
Lab monsters with knowledge of every single little thing there is, or depressed mains tryna figure out how in the hell they gunna deal with Sol (and generally play neutral while keeping gorillas at bay and punishing their random ass dps).
Like don't get me wrong, the shit I get with her if I block a dp is disgusting, so why is the Leo doing a fucking dp after his + frames/cancel window ends? Do you have a death wish of somethi- oh wait they do.
The Goldlewis section made me laugh. I'm a Goldlewis main who actually believed the propaganda at first but as I got better I was like wait a fucking second...
The assessment on Nago is too true. As a Nago main, i can attest that I dont care about your frames, i just wanna play the game lol
"Finishing combo with a super into a wallbreak would definately kill"
Foolish mistake, clearly you dont actually play Millia if you think anything like that would kill
Nah deadass I just want a crumb of conversions
As a Leo main, the gambling part is true, but its more of the testosterone he makes you let out. When you play him the goal is to assert dominance, become the alpha and earn the right to mate. Makes you feel like a spartan from 300.
so like sOME KIND OF GORILLA-
Head butt your enemies and back dash them into the corner
Playing a set as Leo is a better Testosterone supplement than any modern medicine can make right now
As a new player of Strive and Leo main, I shall use the wisdom I'm absorbing from my fellow warriors to earn my mark
As a certified player of most of the DK crew I can confirm that yeah we'll use our worst option every time because it's funny when it works.
I want them to add Johnny to strive so I can stray away from the gorilla gang. Cause being a good Johnny (even though he was definitely the best character in xrd) does actually take character knowledge, he's not an easy character to pick up but he is strong when he's learned well and I miss that.

as an axl main I'm scared with how accurately you described my life in detail. Including the Mai dakimakura.
I used to be a May main, but I switched to Faust to repent for my sins.
Jokes aside Faust just feels amazing to play with for me and I love how he has so much random tech. I don't care that he's not that good in this game I just want to have fun and do the best I can do with this character, talking with people who also play Faust is fun as well.
My brother, you are a traitor to the cause…
You shall be punished for your treason.
Jokes aside, it does get pretty stale playing as May.
But I’ve been playing her for too long and I’m just too comfortable to leave
@@Papabandana goddamn, king, nice! I also love Faust, although I’ve only played every character very shallowly. Haven’t found the time yet to sink more than an hour into any character.
Any advice on learning Faust?
@@Lars_Hermsen utilising items is probably the most important thing to learn right off the bat as you’re gonna be abusing them no matter what level you happen to be at right now
It's not about winning, it's about making your opponent think "wtf is going on" before they win while still processing what happened 10 seconds ago
My dawg. Dab me up
I wasn't too sure about what you were saying for Anji, but the "telling your opponent how to punish Anji and immediately counterplaying it" bit is the most spot on thing ever.
The biggest Anji meme is letting everyone believe he's gorilla.
Nago players being "Hearts" is fitting considering the kanji on his mask and jacket
Wait, does the Kanji say heart? or does it say something similar.
@@MythicMachina The word is "Kokoro." Typically translated as "heart," but with meaning more akin to "emotional core."
8:24 And chipp, canonically, is both of those things. Fitting
Us Faust players pride ourselves in the fact that our character is objectively the best written and the best design wise
Besides zato maybe he cool
Nah Faust is better written than Zato :]
We need the nurse back reeee
@@MysticPyroFreak I’d say so, but zato is really nice with his story, I’d argue he’s more tragic than Faust
Let’s just all agree that as a character may is hilariously bad, writing wise I mean
@@p.k6472 as someone who lives by the Totsugeki code... Yeah
@@p.k6472 One thing I'll give Zato's arc credit for is that he more or less is back where he started being someone's underling. And I find that irony of him going through everything he went through, only to realize "You know what? Being someone's underling is fine", hilarious. I mean, yeah. He's fine with it only because it's Millia, but still.
Aside from that, I personally felt Zato worked better as a posthumous character and that Eddie should have remained the one in control. To each their own, tho!
"What kind of person would make their fellow humans deal with disjointed hitboxes"

As someone who has played GGST almost three days and is a HARDCORE TESTAMENT MAIN you have sorely underestimated how many of us are former emo kids who read vampire smut and have raven and skull statues on every flat surface in our house and play Testament because we want to be them more than we want to continue living, please god tell me I'm not the only one
Dirty Axl main here is concerned how you knew about my diet and my maiden situation... Fun fact, I picked up Axl specifically to annoy my friend, and the rest is history. I concur that confrontation is scary.
fellow Axl player here, equally called out by the laundry chair and diet thing. however, I managed to find a maiden of my own! like the video said, Axl mains are usually pretty cool. you'll find her/him eventually!
I'm an Axl main. Legit just moved into my mom's basement. 😩
more axl here and i do like it when people stay away except chaos he needs to be right beside me
I feel like there is a separate type of Happy Chaos main that play him because of his character in the story. I picked him up day 1 as a secondary because he's just such a goofy and lovable guy
Agreed, his normals are the goofiest shit ever (they also quite strong too)
this is sterotypes tho
Same, him and that man were the 2 chars I wanted, so picking him up was a no Brainer day 1
Me, that is absolutely me. I absolutely suck at chaos but I’m not giving up because he speaks to me on a spiritual level
I appreciate that you actually tried with potemkin's stereotype instead of just "clown"
As a nago main, I was watching that nago gameplay and kept thinking "Kamuriyuki after the second hit of far slash, then fukyo backwards, DO IT ITLL WORK", so yes, we definitely like making up ways to mix people up and put them back under pressure. It's why I still love playing Nago.
Wake up babe, new Gekko video just dropped.

Goldlewis main here, and I thoroughly believe the tendency to downplay Goldlewis is because three of his hardest Matchups, those being Gio, Chaos and Sol, Are INCREDIBLY common characters online
You mean Nago? Sol isn't that hard of a matchup for GL.
@@seokkyunhong8812 True, Nago is WAY worse, Idk why I said sol rather than Nago, I mean even Ky is harder for goldlewis than Sol is
Gonna be honest, I'm usually super iffy on these stereotype videos. A lot of them just devolve into the creator being really toxic over the charatcers they don't like. This video genuinely has heart to it and feels more like a fine roast rather than burnt charcoal black.
Also i'd like to give a shoutout to the massive Bi/Pan awakening Testament caused in Strive.

ngl before I switched to monkey brained Pot-head-tempkin I tried to play Zato for silly Eddie and wound up being the "just ban Faust already" guy
I've talked to NotPichu, one of the best Jack'O's in the world, and almost word for word they were like that, just a depressed guy trying his best to speed through inputs until he gets slapped by Hotashi
The potemkin section made me realize a few things about how I became a Potemkin main
Testament makes sense TBH. Them in Strive is just vibing in life, and so are the players, just going about their FG journey
Axl is pretty much my entire personality ever since I was born. And time control is one of the only powers I've liked in any piece of media.

As a Zato main, I was confused why people always run away from me. Now I know. Also explains why I was surprised when you claimed Faust is the worst character.
Just ran into a Nago who popped blood rage in corner I as a I-no main, proceeded to absolutely obliterate the poor guy, I feel like nago mains need to pay more attention to their rage instead of just popping it when low
Me as a Ramlethal main:
Yeah, sounds about right.
The amount of times I've had a Millia not end a combo with the super that could have won them the round is absolutely absurd.
I have found that Axl mains are easily fascinated with lemons.
All the characters I’ve considered and why
Faust: gambling. Item toss is dope
Giovanna: aww doggo
Jacko: I like pumpkins
Baiken: that grapple looks dope
Ok I had to laugh at the Faust section. I'm a believer hook line, and golfclub. only thing it's missing is no mention of the people who play strictly for TEH FUNNIEZ

strive is the first fighting game ive ever played, picked it up like four days ago. ive been playing may because i liked her hat. please god what did i walk into. the dolphin combos. the damage numbers. big fish. i just wanted to play piano and chill but ive unknowingly trapped myself in the lower levels of hell and i cant find the exit sign anywhere
"Are we negative? No the fuck we're not we're BALLIN'" is my new life philosophy
As a may main, I can confirm that I was birthed from satan in the deepest pit of hell. None of you are safe
As a Potemkin main, I only have one thing to say:
we know where you are again. start running.
I am at the moment of guilty gear where I'm learning one character and decide which the character is the main for me
As a Nago main, I appreciate you for acknowledging our collective galaxy brain
I once finished a game by doing beyblade 3 times. They blocked the first two, but they didnt expect the third. So yes, the Nago stereotype is correct as far as I am concerned
As an Anji player I can confidently say... you didn't have to be so raw ;_;
As a may main, at first I just wanted to hit people with an anchor because I thought it would be funny.
Now, 100 hours later, I worship Satan himself and make blood sacrifices to ensure that my dolphin continues to listen to my commands and doesn't eat me alive.
Couldn't agree more with the nagoriyuki. I hit floor 8 faster than I realized something such as super jump exists.
I only found out about super jump because I accidentally fumbled inputs
I'm the mildly Gorilla Ky who also wants to fireball, you described it very accurately.
Sajam “ah sick pot buster make some noise!”
The reason I play ky is because he seems like the "sword in one hand, spell in the other" Architype. And I'm a big fan of that. Plus I'm pretty much brand new to fighting games, so he looks like a good all-rounder learning tool.
nvm. I'm a sol main now.
man, it’s rough being the only gay I-no main in the world who picked her because her guitar looked cool
10:06 The broom closet ending!
The broom closet ending *was my favourite!*
So yes, May main stereotypes are in fact absolutely correct.
as a person who has no knowledge about guily gear, what you said about sol players was 100% accurate
I felt attacked with the chipp one, I do have those monologues 😔😔
As a Potemkin main, I know where you live and I'm currently heavenly prc before hit over to your house, don't try to run I WILL GET YOU
You described Nago so accurately it pushed me to switch mains
As a baiken main I can confirm I just finished the tutorial this is my first fighting game (unless you count smash or soul caliber) and the tatami and Ariel spin moves are my favorites. I do not know the controls. But I WILL learn to play the one armed redhead samurai baddie
as a ky player i really love stagger pressure and stun dipper RC but i also enjoy working on a really clean defense. Idk i just think good defense is sick af
"Most Axl players are generally pretty cool"
Huh, I guess both Leo and Axl mains get into the mentality of their characters.
As a Ram main, I can confirm I hate every single person I fight by default
Also noticing.....
Woman's bare feet = "You PERV!!!"
Man's bare feet = "Just another day in fighting games, have at it!"
Lollerskates
As a Zato and millia main, all I wish to do is play solitaire in a fighting stick, nothing more, that's the definition of joy to me
0:15 am accurately sized body pillow of potemkin would be a fucking mattress at that point
