@@Orchestral-Tools I like Metropolis Ark series. In this collection it's possible to find almost all sounds to recreate melodies, famous sounds and rhythms for films and TV series such as LOST, Castle, etc. Can u make such special library with sounds from LOST, Robocop, Rambo,Inception? we all like Hans Zimmer.
hello, fantastic library, amazing job thanks a lot, I tried it at a friend's place who owns a studio and have a question: how do you change the velocity of each note and not for all of them?, for example I tried the children choir and the high notes are much louder than the others which are low, (obviously) could'nt find where to change velocity of the individual notes, thanks a lot for your answer and happy new year
Great sounding Library - this Lib and VSL Libs are my favourite Libs :) PLEASE make Hamburg Strings and sample at the stage in the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie.
Well... If you already own symphonic virtual instruments, either Met 1 or 2 could be useful... I'd personally find Met 2 more useful since I have other libraries that mostly cover what was in Met 1...
HOW TO CROSSFADE BETWEEN ARTICULATIONS Keep in mind that the various MIDI CC# are listed in the manual but the correct one should be highlighted after Step 4, below. 1. Switch from Mono to Poly KS 2. Select the different articulations by holding down the keys on your midi controller, turning them green. 3. Select the radio button for CC XFade 4. Alt-Click CC XFADE 5. Now, this is where the “Listen” button is blinking. Ignore that. Instead, go to Browse Parameters or similar in your Kontakt wrapper. 6. Scroll down until you see MIDI CC 22. Keep in mind there may be other numbers (lots) before that, and make sure it’s the actual MIDI CC# 7. Right-Click that MIDI CC and select “Link to controller” and now it should work. The same should work for the other Poly KS options. You may have to experiment with the 2D Crossfade with four different articulations. Last note: I’ve had to figure this out a few times now simply because I do not use it all the time. Might be a good idea to copy this text and save it for a later time. I hope this helps.
I'm not sure if you understand how organs work Church organs are literally built into the architecture of a church, which is if you probably guessed already is drastically different then a scoring stage... Not to mention the fact that we would be talking about installing a full-blown Church organ in to tell Dex
Im using the SINE version of this and realizing....maybe im doing it wrong. This looks much more detailed. Also, what is "without" and "romantic"? Definitely haven't seen that in the SINE version!
Hey, I have a question if you don't mind. I'm thinking about getting Metropolis Ark 2 but I'm a little confused. Does Ark 2 render Ark 1 redundant or is Ark 1 better than Ark 2 at certain aspects? I'm only planning on getting one of the two so your input would be greatly appreciated. Best regards Antonio
They are different libraries. He said so at the beginning of the video. Ark 1 is all about really really loud dynamics and large sections, Ark 2 is about smaller sections and lower dynamics
Sorry all, got to agree with David below. For a company selling to professional musicians, you'd think that Orchestral Tools (a German company), would at least find a narrator who knows how to pronounce Wagner, Timbre, and Col Legno. Guys, it's Vargner, tarmbra, and Col Layn-yo (in my laymans phoenetics). Does my head in when Americans go off talking about timber like it's from a lumber yard. Very impressed by the excellent sonics of both Arks btw. I would highly recommend everyone gets these for their library.
Really impressive library, great sounds, great samples! But is there a "normal" Orchestra library without all these almost useless instruments (like guitars, bass and drums in the Ark1 and piano, etc. here)? If there is one with this quality of sound I run to buy it!
Can't believe I'm saying this 3 years late, but if you specifically want an Orchestral Tools product that resembles a standard orchestra, your best bet would be Berlin Orchestra. It is however quite expensive, so you might want to opt for the Berlin Inspire series instead!
pretty late to this comment, but because its a sampled piano and not a modeled one, full velocity, short sustain notes will not sound the same as staccato notes. this is due to the intensity of the note being played staccato and the way the hammer hits the strings (hard to explain but im sure you'll get it. its also not the same because of the release. staccato notes have a much different release from sustains. its not the biggest thing but its the little things that matter :)
The Basso Profundo made a fine addition to my collection
Right on, enjoy!
Really impressive! Actually, one of the best instrument demos I've seen / heard :)
Just got it installed. Really beautiful sonics and well assembled. I'm going to be using this a lot.
Love the sound of that piano.
Great walk-through!
It's an amazing library but I really loved it much more if the highs strings can play pizzicato too!
for me, by far the best library in the market, love it since first time using it
Great to hear!

Fantastic!
Thank you for the awesome discount for Met 1 purchasers!

Torn between this and the new Bernard HerrMann library from Spitfire...
5.14 what a piece is it mind blowing is it composition.... sir?
perfect, I love this.... a lot, hope you guys do a full church organ, classical guitars and saxophones next time
Spitfire has a great organ, and 8Dio has some nice guitar ensembles in AGE. Metropolis Ark 2 is simply fantastic, though.
I know, i just love their sound stage and capsule interface, and it would be awesome to have it all in the same sound setting

@@kylejudkins754 one can dream
Glory Days library has perfect sax and other jazz instruments now
ORCHESTRAL TOOLS = REAL HANS ZIMMER SOUND !!! LOVE IT !
Or get the Hans Zimmer collection by Spitfire. ;)
Metropolis Ark 2 = Dark Knight
Metropolis Ark 3 = pirates of the caribbean
Im using the SINE version of this and realizing....maybe im doing it wrong. This looks much more detailed. Also, what is "without" and "romantic"? Definitely haven't seen that in the SINE version!
Timber!
Interface really hard to read. To dark, to small fonts. All this on 4K screen requires a magnifying glass :-( to use
It's Vargner, not Wagner Tubas
what a piece is it mind blowing is it composition.... sir? 5:14
ATHISHAY JAIN.M.K I think is an improvisation, but the main motif I can hear is clearly le tambourine, from the baroque composer Rameau

AntonioKowatsch I love when they put videos up then don’t answer questions. Shows a lot.
They are different libraries. He said so at the beginning of the video. Ark 1 is all about really really loud dynamics and large sections, Ark 2 is about smaller sections and lower dynamics
They are complementary
It all depends on the composer, but
Ark 1 is kind of designed for epic stuff
Ark 2 is kind of designed for suspenseful stuff
I have the first one but how in the world will I budget the 2nd??? :( I need to sell my dog!!!
Metalpazallteway how can u even think of that?dogs are like family.Better than human beings i would say.
IS HE FAT ? I LIKE THEM THE FAT ...
good

Whats the difference between Ark 1 and Ark 2?
i think the main difference is that volume 1 focuses more on the loud dynamics and volume 2 on the soft tones
What's the difference between my left testicle and my right testicle?
Very impressive. But you pronounced Wagner wrong.
...at 13:39 -- super funny. Now please pronounce Maurice Ravel as Morris Rayvle. And Clawd De Bussy.
5.14
Speaking of "6 harps", here is a piece where that is used:

Bring back the German narrator! Patches sound good though.
Yeah, the hard US accent sounds WEEEEIRD

Is it free?
I own the ARK I.... now I have to buy the ARK II.... why?.... BECAUSE
cool story
bro
what's the point to have a "stacc" piano articulations ???? Can we play it on our... let me guess...oh ! Keyboard ?!
pretty late to this comment, but because its a sampled piano and not a modeled one, full velocity, short sustain notes will not sound the same as staccato notes. this is due to the intensity of the note being played staccato and the way the hammer hits the strings (hard to explain but im sure you'll get it. its also not the same because of the release. staccato notes have a much different release from sustains. its not the biggest thing but its the little things that matter :)
Interface looks nice, but to me it sounds dull. The reverb makes it even worst.
I'm pretty sure he just made up 80% of the terms he uses...
My only criticism is the narrator doesn't know music- he mispronounced Wagner and timbre. Annoying
majin2912 true. I miss Hendrick narrating the walkthroughs. Still, amazing library! Preordered.
Exceptional strings. Trash choir.
wuuuuut, I love the choir!
