Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

@@LLCoolJD in colorado it snows in september but not december, it's pretty weird. Also, Scrapman lives in Vegas so he probably doesn't get snow very often.

Fix would be everyone in air vehicles trying to hinder one driver attempting to get the best laptime out of the bunch.
everyone has the same target as a flyer, everyone has the same goal as the driver.

I’m in Australia and where I live there’s no snow and it’s summer for Christmas and my pc can’t handle trailmakers on the lowest graphics so fun and love your videos scrapman keep it up🙂

Yeah, i just don’t get it. I put my iPad on airplane mode and it doesn’t fly... like, whats up with that?
I think the bouncing came from the servos acting against the skis. Skis have a weird reactive properties in Trailmakers. Like they kinda work as they would IRL but at the same time they don't. Example is if you take skis and put them level, they'll perform as expected. But you can reduce friction if you put them on hinges and stick them at 45 degrees (minimizing the amount of surface area of the ski in contact with the ground) thus making what ever contraption you've got go that slightly more faster. But if they're at an angle, like 45 degrees on an edge and also 5 degrees upwards from front to back. That some how creates a force. The back corner being the only thing in contact with the ground will some how push your creation away from the bottom of the ski. Don't know why it happens in game, but it does.
My theory is that some weird angles were getting hit with your skis and the helicopter servos not being absolutely centered probably gave some funky counter and exponential reaction to the skis weird reactions. This compounded into the bounces you were getting. But this is again just my theory based on my experience with skis and servos.
But I'm still waiting to see a super sonic battle/race/contest of sorts. kAN's super sonic co-manned battleship "kAN-non" fire was what inspired this request.
Idea for next Episode: Try fight with Mechs, but just with meele weapons and without wheels or glitches.

I think the bouncing is the qheel compressing upwards into blocks which makes funny glitch notice how kosmo didn't bounce he had clearance

I want to see a new kind of challenge where its less about building, maybe a race where one person builds a car one builds plane and last guy builds a boat/ hover thing, the race is split into thirds ( car first part plane second and so on) everyone races with the same vehicles, just a test to see who is actually the best at the game (scrap mechanic or trail makers) because we all know the best builder... kan

what if one day you dacide to do a multyplayer monday or any other time you play in multiplayer you "missintrepret" the rules and make something that gives you a small advantedge so that it does not suck all of the fun of the competition but you still win or maybe just a day when you all missintrepret the rules to your advantege. idk it feels like itcould be fun like so he sees this
