- Hey everyone! Back with another Trailmakers video inspired by one of your comments! I wasn't planning on doing this but it seems too ridiculous not to try and so here we are. Enjoy the video while I go seek therapy xD All in all I did have an absolute blast messing around with miniguns as propulsion so let me know in the comments below what you thought and I hope you enjoyed watching this as much as I enjoyed playing it!

I think the reason you can only build so many before they start destroying the ones at the end is because the developers likely set it up so that your own guns won't destroy your own vehicle under most "normal circumstances". Your tail would have been blown to hell and back in your very first builds if they hadn't.
The bullets could also not have collision for a second or two, something very common in games.
@@Ekipsogel That's what I thought, so if you put the miniguns in the back a bit higher, I think it could work.

the bullet drop is causing the destruction. as you lengthened the build, the drop grew enough to hit the attachment points.
I love this as a multi-player Monday idea, plane battles but can only use weapons as propulsion and not any solely offensive use.
I'd try a 4x4x4 minigun box (4 miniguns wide, high and deep) that has the 1x4 wedges in front of the whole build.
If that fails, add more boxes on the side, top and bottom but not on the front or back.
Why?
Because the miniguns more than 4 deep hits the creation.

What if you were to move the skis out wider a bit and get rid of the angled pieces under the rear end, they're probably creating the lift that you were trying to counter with spoilers and could be why it shoots itself apart
If you try an more projectile-based thrust vehichles, maybe try to go diagonally? I'm not quite sure how to describe this, but imagine two miniguns rotated 90 degrees in different directions with both of their "backs" (the aerodynamic part, I mean) facing into the same 2x2x2 cubic space. Then you could add more of those segments stacked diagonally. The projectiles wouldn't hit the plane because they are pointing away from the diagonal center line, but the net force is still straight in regard to that diagonal. I don't know how you would go about making that aerodynamic, though.
This could be a way to defend you're self in dog fights and for aceleration
You should use this Hotdog plane, in your usual match with Kan and Kasmos, where one of you is flying and the other 2 is trying to shoot you down, and just do them dirty in order to get their reaction, like a prank or trolling.

I wonder if there's a limit to the number of bullets the game can track, maybe once you add more guns past a certain point it stops actually being able to fire more bullets.
I also notice that you have a bunch of wedges facing down on the bottom of the model, that seems to give you upforce. Swapping them around the other way might help, or figuring out a part arrangement so you can get rid of them completely.
I actually suggested this on Scrapman's super sonic balloon video, but first come first serve. I don't think he could have done much different.
Also, if you want to emulate WWII USAAF (the precursor to the modern Air Force) set get 10 bomb bays and stack them so they're nose to tail in a 2x5 configuration. Set 1 side to be on a delay incrementing by 1 second. So first bay is 0, second is 1, third is 2, fourth is 3, and fifth is 4. The other side do the same thing, but add 0.15 to each bay. So first bay is 0.15 delay, second is 1.15, and so forth. That is the ideal timing to have alternating bomb dropping from either "side" and have enough delay happen by the time the last bomb drops from the last bays, the first bays have reloaded and will start dropping after the last bay has dumped its last bomb. You can have an unlimited rolling thunder this way.
What if you used this “mini-gun powered plane” in the campaign, against the pirates?

Try adding wedge block under each gun to angle them up so the bullets are going above the gun behind them

Plus adding the angle will give you more down force keeping you on the ground
Wedge blocks in trailblazers don't any way to attach stuff to the angled side - you can only build on the grid. That doesn't mean you can't have the guns angled up, tho! You'd have to do it using movable hinge pieces. But that makes the creation more complex, heavy, and larger.
Minigun racing would be great for a simple Multiplayer Monday. Maybe auto aim on so you can be baited by people behind you making you steer weird directions and like 1/2 second repair timer but only propulsion is miniguns. Maybe limit the number to make it more reasonable. But you could even make it a triathlon of land, air, and sea.
Some one should have taken notes from Jetpack joyride
The mini guns just shoot through 6 of them selves, but when it speeds up, the bullets lag behind, but the game tries to make them go in front of the barrel, shooting them selves off
That front end reminds me of the dropship in Aliens 😂
I’d suggest shortening the length and making it wider
If you notice more than 5 guns in a row cause damage to the 6th n back because the projectiles render after the 5 gun.

Funny thing but the speed of the projectile has the speed of the vehicle subtracted from it so if the vehicle starts going faster than the projectiles they start shooting forward from behind. As such shooting themselves. Strangely enough that's actually a real physics thing. The only way to hit the sound barrier with recoil is to actually use gravity to assist like you did.

3:30 dude you guys should do a multiplayer Monday video on trailmakers of this, the rules being you can only use rear facing miniguns as thrust, and you can only have two front facing guns of any kind, including rockets.
Chasing someone down in the air would be deadly hahahaha. See who can last the longest on 3 repairs with a 10 second wait time between when you hit the water/ground and when you repair.

I may have made a minigun jetpack out of impulse after seeing the recoil
Imagine using this on a multiplayer dogfight video, not completely use the plane but use the plan, like its a normal plane, flying on thrust but also miniguns, so if ur getting tailed no one can still tail u because theyre gonna get demolished. just set the miniguns that are gonna be used for thrust aim assist off. and the guns ur gonna use with on i guess. this might be a bad idea but again, u said send more bad ideas.
I don't think they're ever going to use auto-aim in a multiplayer battle.

Honestly i think they should change the miniguns noise to more of a deep BRRRT they sound kind of limp. Theres a few other things i dislike about this about but its pretty good

Can you get any real speed with just skis?
Dumb thought, but what if you had the seat in the middle? Perhaps it was registering the bullets as particles because of the distance from the seat? 🤔
What if you had angled the guns? Would the aerodynamics still work if they got auto angled outwards?
Which timing did you use for your miniguns? I'm using 5s but it creates a delay in between bursts where I lose a lot of speed
