FINALLY! We have the exact same curl pattern, looks exactly the same when wet and during the beginning of the drying process, but my hair just looks so flat and frizzy by the time its fully dried. Thank you for this!

Holy poop! I never thought about letting my hair dry for a little while to allow my curls to develop it’s natural texture and THEN diffuse it. Vanja Jojic the brand aphogee has a treatment to help with this I think. Hope this helps xx
Vanja Jojic its probably heat damaged. Try to use products to repair heat damage, otherwise you'll have to cut it all off if you want curls again
Try to use aphogee, i think your hair need some protein

My hair is literally 3a curls underneath, wavy hair in the "middle" section (like a cake), and straight hair on top. Sometimes I get a few ringlets that look like I finger coiled it. It's annoying, I'll just say that
Try a denman brush and finger curling to help define and train your hair to curl. Don't use gel until after your done.

So long story made somewhat short. I have always had my hair short like pretty close to a 2 or 3 and for the last year and a half I’ve been growing my hair out. I had no idea that I had curly hair! I have the same exact curl pattern as you do (which my wife is jealous of) and I’m barely starting to learn how to take care of my curls. I’m a Mexican male and my hair is almost so dark it looks purple in the sun which makes me feel even more unique. I finally bought a diffuser today the Conair curl collective one with the 3 pattern attachment and I’m freaking stoked to start taking care of them. I’ve never put any heat to my hair and I have no damage to it whatsoever, but I know this will make a huge difference. Your videos are so informative and straight forward which makes me less nervous. I know this is an older video, but thank you for all of the information you have put out into the world. It’s reached a lot of people and is continuing to do so.

Same, I don't know what makes that happen but I'm starting to think it may be because of the friction against our pillow when we sleep (?) Also regular fabric absorbs the moisture out of our hair... I'll try a new silk or satin pillowcase and see if that works

@@amirairazaar9943 I do atleast 2 treatments a week, usually I do apple cider vinegar rinse(every other week) it has really helped with my scalp, and rice water has been good to my hair and scalp thru this too! And for deep conditioners I use olaplex and shae moisture deep hydration. I still havent found a good shampoo and conditioner so I've just used the shae moisture line since its natural and won't hurt me lol

I have natural 3b curls but since my last hair cut I have a combination of 3a-3b hair. I thought since my hair is much shorter now it would coil and create these nice bouncy curls but it didn't. I tried diffusing and part of my hair was super cute and the other only coiled at the end and gave loose waves on the mid sections and near the roots. How do I fix that?

it’s so hard to control my hair. frizz ruins everything! i have naturally curly hair but as i grew up it just started to get frizzy and not curly curly anymore. i use product and scrunch it up and try to plop it but plopping doesn’t work well for me sometimes. i’m thinking about getting a diffuser.

I definitely need to invest in a new diffuser mine ruins my curl pattern and creates so much frizz. And also, how do you get so much volume? I have a very similar texture and my hair is very fine, so my curls tend to drop after day two or when I put my hair up slightly while I’m in class (I’m also a dancer). Do u have any tips for that ? Or styles that you use for dance that don’t ruin your curl pattern? Lol hellppp
Most things will ruin it if you put it ip and sweat unfortunately! But i like to add a spray to it to help it hold its shape

I am so jealous of your hair. 😭 The diameter of my curls is like 3b but they are kinda loose, like a 3a. I also have 2b waves in my bottom layer. I get a loooot of frizz every wash day, I have been trying everything and I sometimes feel like giving up on my curly hair journey because it takes too much effort and I am nowhere close to my hair health goals. 😔
This is me like at the very base of my head it’s a 2c wave and everything else is mostly 3b with some 3a strands and I wish the strands at the base of my neck would curl up more
