3 HOURS making a Tilapi Town on the HARDEST difficulty | Songs of Syx

- Yo dudes Oshan here, surprise stream playing Songs of Syx v65b on HARD++ difficulty for the next 2-3 hours or until this storm arrives and shuts me down. We ended up making a Tilapi Town in a forest.

do you have a mod for the beautiful circles or is this in game (sorry i just got 6h or so)
@@cavejohnson982 Hello mate, the circles are part of the game. When you go to build a building, the stuff at the top should say "Shape" slightly to the left of the centre top area. The blue button is where you can set the tool to draw in an ellipse shape.
Once your building is built, find the "Make Diagonal" tool (for this, you can use the search function in the bottom of the screen) and use it to round edges of buildings.
I'll be making a guide soon to help clarify stuff like this. Either way, hope that helps, best of luck with your cities! :)

I play really casually and take forever to design or make decisions lol
I spend most of the time just watching my villagers walk around and perform their tasks.
Love the game though. Definitely learned some design ideas from watching this.

Trading and mercenaries might need to be nerfed a bit. I myself abuse both a lot which allows me to bypass micro managing my production from early game to late game. As more as you play games as more as you exclusively rely on them. You can literally make your way with a giant woodcutter industry...
This, exactly this. Been trying to wean myself off them for a while now, haha

Literally, I’ve been playing the game for years now and I’ve once made it to 3000 population but the game was easier back then. No matter how hard I try, whether I try one race or multicultural, always with easiest settings, constant revolts and protests and starvation cause I don’t pay attention for a second. Lol I’m always searching for mods that make it easier
For Tilapi, 15 hunters caps out your hunting. 16 hunters brings in the same meat as 15 hunters.
I think the cap might be the same for all of them but I could be wrong, the efficiency penalty is definitely really bad though, as you stated there :)

That huge round warehouse may be optimised for capacy/space, but it is among the worst models for noise/path. Try something that is narrow and long as a thin noise-break between workshops and living/pleasure zones. Gives you less displeasure for shorter travel distances.
Yeah you're right, the warehouse design is probably my least efficient one too but it's all a part of my anti-roundness agenda. All to further the gridded cause 😈
Idk if it changed but no matter what race I play it was always more profitable to say farm mushrooms and extend my food supply by trading for cheaper bread. Like I never touched grain farming. If you play as the bugs you could start your early economy on ranching but importing dwarfs to refine logs and stone is almost always the mid game economy anyway.
This is certainly one way, it's just that some spawns have terrible prices but the main thing that remains consistent is that fishing is reliable and easy to main so I would generally lean towards doing that first :)
I got a question.
How much road do they need?
1 block width? 2? 3?
I find it rather daring to waste all those janitors on extra roadspace... xD. If i could use the people elsewhere better.
If you want to save you can definitely just do 1 block wide roads, wider roads just look better and let you put stuff in between

Question : the tilapi's pop goes to 50 already and the starting resources are high compared to what i used to play is it modded or the titles effect or something else and the gift about 170k gold is whuttt in the hell?? 😂😂 Im just askin because i know this game but played it recently so you can call me a newb in this game 😅
The starting position of 55 pop and stuff is an effect of the Title "First of Their Name" and the gift was pure RNG lol

Is there any way you could share your blueprints for rooms? I'm a beginner an planning out rooms is a huge pain since I'm a ADHD goblin and I try to overoptimize every room...

The save file should be the city featured in the video.
However, the save is in v64, so you'd have to revert your game version to be able to load it but also, the blueprints can only be used in versions 64 and 65 (the demo build and current build respectively) because the v66 beta doesn't port them over.
I hope that helps but I also hope you create your own unique blueprints someday :)

It's actually a part of the base game, I had no mods installed.
I think you're referring to the blueprints functionality? Basically, I made a design for the warehouse and that already and simply loaded it in using their saved blueprints.

I wouldn't call you dumb but you don't have to sally out every time, giving you a reason to have walls in your city instead of just aesthetics :)

Why hardest is even in the title when You have a Sponsor paying for everything. This friendly comment about fair argument ... If You want to claim "Hardest Game" trophy, You should decline those gifts or lose "Hardest" clickbait from the title. My Easy difficulty appears to be harder than Your game, and I invested 3h to learn something from this video "How to win the hardest difficulty", but looks like You have to have a sponsor :) … Regards ... If I overlook this detail, cool video :) Regards :)
Yeah idk mate, I set the game to the hardest difficulty so I guess I'm just lucky to get that sponsor, haha. I probably could've declined but one should never interrupt an enemy while they are making a mistake :)
