30KillaBeatz Background
Rapper/Producer 30KillaBeatz/RIch Goat was born Brandon Beasley in Detroit Michigan, 30K was raised by his hard-working mother and stepfather in multiple locations such as Virginia, Tennessee, Germany, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Hawaii because of his father's affiliation with the military. He was also known for getting in trouble in school and starting fights. After school, he would go to the Youth Center and wait till his parents picked him up after they got off work. There he saw an old piano that the other kids would play with from time to time. He was amazed and started messing with it himself. He got so good he played one of Beethoven's songs in front of the whole school. All the other parents were amazed and asked his mom if young 30K could teach their kids how to play the piano.

Just got the m3 pro w/ 18 ram and 512gb ssd. Huge upgrade for me that’s really the reason i chose this one instead. Good video
thank you this was very helpful info before I go buy my Macbook
macbook air 2018
im tryna change to better one ive been using mine for about 7 years now , but the thing is music production needs more power cpu and yeah its asking me to change cuz logic pro x is running system overload
Hi 😉 What problems did you have on 16Gb? 🙂
I think the M3 Pro is actually going to perform equal or worse for music production since most popular DAWs including logic don't really use efficiency cores. We just lost 2 performance cores on the pro which is pathetic. The only real improvement is going to be in the Max.
Faxxx we’ll just have to see but disappointed as well 😔
I'm using 4 P-cores with no issue on an original M1. The M2 Pro had 6, or 8, which I wish they'd maintained into the M3, but 4 seems to work fine for me, and the 12-core M3 Pro also has 6, so I expect it to do the job just fine.
It seems that Apple eliminated 8 P-core configs for one of two reasons (or both): The 3 nm speed and efficiency and other increases likely compensate greatly for having only 6, and their focus is really on GPU now, bc they might want to be more competitive with PC on video and gaming.
Of course it is ironic that this is a limitation to Logic, their program, which does not use efficiency cores or GPU, so one has to wonder what's going on there, but maybe 8 cores, under the performance of M3, would be overkill anyway. After all, a Ferrari that can do 0-60 in 3 seconds is really not any better than one that can do 0-60 in 5 seconds, in the practical world of driving. That Hyundai next to you will get to work about the same time you do.
The proof will be in the pudding, which is why I'm waiting for Logic benchmarks. Nothing else the M3 can or can't do matters one bit to me.
Yeah, not really need more than 4 performance core. The most important is the performance per core and with M3 it’s dop.
What's a good laptop for this under 1k?
Just bought the max for that reason 💸
I use a windows laptop for making music but i want to upgrade to a macbook pro 14

My dude created a new element!
Salute King, I have a 14in M1 Pro MBP Base model. I only upgraded the RAM to 32GB & SSD to 1TB. It's been great for me so I really have no need to upgrade to M3. If I did it would really be for that black color way but for me at this point, that makes no sense lol. Continue Being Great.
Same here gang, I think imma chill on it M1 Pro is amazing! 😎🏝️
M2 and M3 are GPU oriented. It would render a true color in DAWs. Amazing right? 😂😂😂
2017 iMac running logic x everyday
I just ordered a new M3 Max with the 36GB of ram. Some say 16-18GB is enough but it's on the border. I can tell you with just an audio only 40 track project in Logic (no MIDI/Samplers/VSTi), my project was already in the 6-8GB ram usage territory. If you consider the OS and other background apps need memory to run, you can see where 16GB is limiting. Make no mistake, if your system runs out of memory, the OS is using your SSD which is not as fast as memory. I don't think folks need the Max chip but I got a good deal on the Apple Refurb store so I just got it over with. I also do some video editing so it doesn't hurt to have GPU cores.
That new matte black is what I've been waitin for in a laptop! I hope they bring it over to the other Macs soon. Imagine that on a Mac Studio... Beautiful!
A black Mac Studio would be awesome! Thanks for watching!
im currently using macbook air m1 8 cores 7GPU 8gb ram and ableton live - no issues but im thinking of getting macbook pro m3 max 14 cores 1tb ssd and 36gb ram - i know it gonna be a machine where i won't affraid to experiment deeply with the sound and make crazy routes , sends returns and number of plugins - damn bro - im excited you know what im saying
Wish I can have ‘em speakers though. Nice content bro. 🎉
Also Look Into Building A Gaming PC Made One For $800 Due To Inflation At The Time It Was A Music Production Work Horse With 32Gb Ram and 1Tb SSD I’m Making Another One For About $500 and Its A Upgraded CPU It Also Depends On Are You Going To Be Traveling Or Working From Home or In A Studio
Im really interested in getting the 14" m3pro w/ 12 core cpu 36gb ram 1tb. Im a fl user
Think that's be the best choice guys? Itd be my first mac moving away from an i5 11-400 32gb ram pc
I use m3 pro base model, and its a beast, I come from the 16-inch m1 model, go to 14 inches
I just bought the new MacBook pro laptop 2023 with m3 chip in it, will i be able to install my Apollo twin interface x?
I’m using 2019 13 inch MacBook Pro with 32 gigabytes of RAM and 1TB of storage
Hows it holding up gang?
Pretty good still get software updates and security updates. Probably the next 5 years I will upgrade
Did you recommend mac accessories in one video - I can't remember if you recommended a certain usb / thunderbolt hub with a built in screen / indicator?
I’m looking to buy a MacBook M3 16inch 2tb 18gb Ram as I’ll be mainly editing on premiere pro 1080p - 4K files. Should this be enough? Or should I do 36gb Ram instead of 18?
build a windows pc!
@@aons5481I think you forgot not everyone can do that and have room for one
so many small sized workstations are being made. if you want to get good performance, u gotta sacrifice space@@MR-RUBIX9119
I have the 16" M3 pro 18gb ram with a 2nd gen Scarlett 2i2, i'm experiencing serious delay. I don't even have any plugins on my vocal channel except for EQ. I assume it's because i'm using a old scarlett through USB3.0, an adapter and finally into my laptop with USB C. Could that be my problem?
no that shouldn't be the cause - check your audio buffer settings... what daw are you using?
That’s incredible! Let’s connect?
OMG that’s awesome! Let’s connect?
Im upgrading from MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) to an 16 inch pro or max.... haven't decided yet on witch one
Depends on what all you do. But In my opinion the pro should be enough gang. Thanks for watching 💪🏽
Ordered the 16 cpu 40gpu m3 max for music production & video editing
Awesome what were you using before? Thanks for watching
Every year there is update lol
I have the M1 Pro 10-Core Chip 16GB 4TB SSD and I see no need to upgrade. I plan to get at least 5 years out of it before I consider upgrading. However, I do plan to build another fast desktop runnning Windows.
Same specs over here don’t feel like I need to. And that’s dope gang. Think in bout doing that same with a pc but honestly just for gaming lol
@@30killabeatz 💪I have a few favorite apps that are PC only. The PC will also be used for redundancy.

I agree with you gang. I don’t feel like I’m missing anything by not upgrading. Thanks for watching ✊🏽
thanks bro this helped aye

Hello! Will the m3 8gb be enough for djing ? Or should I go for the 18gb? Thanks
😂 I used a MacBook Pro with 4gb for over 12 years djing
@@Makebelieve123 cool! Did you do it at home or in venues ? Thanks
@@cozyhobbies_ I dj’d internationally. Had my first residency since 1988 and only switched from vinyl in 2005. Played on CDJ’s for 1 year only before getting my first DJ software. I had 2 MacBook Pro’s ( 1 as backup with 8gb ram ) but the 4gb never let me down. It was a duo core not even a quad core. Kept it very clean very few updates, and used Traktor Pro for 8 years before doing an update.
So if you want something to last, don’t mess with software. Keep it off line if you can. Have a designated machine and it will last decades. Problem comes when you have too many needs from 1 computer
@@Makebelieve123 thanks so much really appreciate it !! Also sounds real cool you were DJing international 🤩🥳
