Chinese President Xi Jinping made the comments virtually as part of the annual Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
As a two-day summit in Senegal comes to a close, China emphasized how crucial the partnership is.
China is Africa's largest trading partner with nearly 190 billion dollars in trade.
But can China avoid criticism over taking advantage of natural resources and saddling developing nations with unsustainable debt?

the type of relation the USA and Most European counties want with Africa is interventionist, colonial-minded. It only focuses on benefitting their interest, which will keep Africa poor. While the Chinese relation to Africa is based on mutual interest. Africa is awake now, the choice is clear.

The biggest difference is China will only give loans for visible infrastructure with less conditions.
The West rather prefers to give loans for countries to pay their debts to the Paris Club, IMF and World Bank but not actual urgent needed infrastructure. With more conditions.
IMF and the “world” bank will lent you money for the bullets, mercenaries, proxies that will kill you and they’ll bill the cost with interest to your surviving family members. And also they’ll lend you their salaries and advisers with interest. They’ll lend you the very money they putting in their pockets with usury, and it’s impossible to pay the interest alone

So even though Sinovac or Sinopharm is less effective, when you have to deliver to remote areas, these non-mRNA ones are the only viable option. The best thing about Chinese loans is that they are tied to projects, as such every coin can be accounted for, the money is entirely used in development infrastructure , plus the Chinese projects are cheaper to build, maintain and they are also more advanced and durable. The Chinese also do not interfere in local politics and affairs, that's very important. Compare that to Western loans from World Bank, they are given out in cash form and the money ends up in politicians pockets who then spend it in buying European products, the loans also come with strings attached, I remember in 2003 Kenya could only get a loan from World Bank if they vowed not to employ more teachers and Nurses, they were also supposed to give the oil exploration contract to a British company. Not forgetting that the West has been sponsoring rebel groups in Central Africa to topple governments and create unrest as they steal resources. While the West is bringing weapons and destroying Africa, China is busy partnering with Africans to build their countries.

Lending to the US Government in the form of 30-year Treasury Bills with near-zero perceived risk of default can earn over 3% p.a. Even if the number quoted is correct, it's cheap considering the multitude of risks these countries carry and their extremely poor credit ratings.

Ultimately what matters is whether the living standards of people of Africa are better now than last year and last decade. Are they? Who is measuring that and how?
Africans are better off and its Africans like myself that are measuring that, more schools have ben built, kids no longer die from malnutrition, famines have reduced greatly, technology is being used in farming, the health sector is getting better and preventable diseases like measles, mumps, yellow fever are unheard of now, we have modern ports, pipelines, superhighways, education has improved and we have so many professionals working outside the country. And all these happened since our collaboration with China.

In my observation it is basically the same as america and european loan if you take a loan make sure you can pay it back otherwise your country will be under debt
