Eduardo Lausse - Was an Argentinian middleweight contender, known for his knockout punch, who boxed from 1947 to 1960. He was a southpaw who fought mainly in South America. His career record was 75 wins (63 by KO), 10 losses and 2 draws. He fought former welterweight champion Kid Gavilan on September 13, 1952, dropping a ten round decision, but defeated Gavilan in a rematch on September 3, 1955. Lausse, nicknamed El Zurdo, also fought and outpointed future middleweight champion Gene Fullmer, but never fought for the crown. In 2003 Lausse made the Ring Magazine's list of 100 greatest punchers of all time.

Can't believe I've never heard of this guy. The way he would roll to his left side and then come back with the hook is very similar to James Toney. Impressive fighter.
exactly what I was thinking
One of the most underrated Middleweights of all time! Just to let you all know this will be my last video for a week or so. Happy holidays everyone.
+haNZAgod Was that Gene Fullmer on this vid? I feel A.Ward id underrated in a different way. People seem to think if you don`t knock opponents out then your not tough, they don`t realize boxing isn`t a street fight!
Happy holidays mate.
Early Christmas present!
haNZAgod hey just a question in the description you wrote that he was a southpaw yet in the video you see him fighting right handed. Did you mix the guy up and confuse him with someone else???
he was left-handed fighting like right
Really good stuff, man!! I'm from Argentina and my grandpa always told me about Lausse's fights. In those days, they used to call him "El campeón sin corona" (The champ without crown), because he never get a chance to fight for the world title. Thanks and happy holidays to you too.
El Campeón sin corona!
Watching these old school videos makes me realise how much of the art of boxing has been lost

I must admit, I never heard of this fellow, bloody good to watch, very Locche-esque. Thanks for the continued education mate.

Can you please make an Chris Eubank Sr. Highlight reel :) ?
I'd really rather not. I'm not a fan of the Eubanks.
Ok I can understand that, they are quite "special" in many ways positive and negative...
