    We're in a bad place when it takes that much evidence to get Justice...

    • @ja9795
      @ja9795 3 роки тому

      I see it differently; I feel that there is this much evidence because we are changing. More individual voices and perceptions are actually being heard which is giving us both more evidence as well as new outcomes. This is a place beneficial to more people, but we are, in many respects, within a birthing process.

    • @lovey8830

      Absolutely- every case is not going to have this much evidence & it shouldn't have to.

      @@ja9795 dude use your damn head stop it. This is not good. It took the whole world to help us convict a cop who killed a man on camera that in itself is to scary. Had a black cop did that to a white man or lady I promise you the world wouldn't even follow it, they already know he will be guilty period.

      yeah its pretty disturbing that if it werent for the fact that this happened to be so well documented, there never would have been a chance of conviction. body cams alone probably wouldnt have shown enough to remove enough reasonable doubt, and if the case wasnt so infamous, they never would have released the body cam footage to begin with

    This IS a landmark case. That photo of the cop kneeling on the defenseless victim George Floyd is also ICONIC and will last generations if not permanently.
    It is the ultimate act of cruelty, yet so unnecessary. While the black community has been complaining for years about police brutality, nothing could be worse than this - a complete subjugation.
    Witnessed world-wide, America has no business lecturing to other countries about their human rights record, when this is what they have to show.

      So, are you sure he is an icon. He is a criminal who overdosed on phentynol after he swallowed the pills just before he got arrested. Definitely not in the least bit. It was on camera, the eye witness testimony, his superior officers, medics who took george away in the ambulance, expert testimony, and the medical examiner, beg to differ. I'm starting to worry about how many ppl who live amongst us could be so calloused and just plain cruel. George died because a man kneeled on him for almost 10 minutes until he was unresponsive and with a pulse. Even after one of the cops asked chauvin if they should lay george on his side recovery position. Chauvin said no, to leave him right as we was.. so instead of getting off of him and rendering aid, (like they were supposed to do) they decide to kneel on him an extra 3 minutes. He wouldn't even the the off duty firefighter check georges pulse. He threatened to mace her if she intervened. How exactly did they jury get this one wrong? Why should he be set free even though he has had 17 use of force accusations. One of those is of chauvin hitting a kid with a flash like, and rendering him unconscious with a choke hold. He then put him in a prone position with a knee on the kids neck and back for 17 minutes.
